I see there is no mention of the NEPHILIM, as mentioned in other Bibles ( eg the Hebrew Bible )

    Normally in verse 4

Noah had a big job to do and it took around 110 years of his life building that boat. Using a modern "Royal Egyptian Cubit" of 20.6 inches, Noahs boat was 157 metres long. I think with Noah being an Adamite man of considerable stature, his cubit would have actually been bigger from elbow to finger tip and the ark much longer. The land bridges would have been in place back then and the continents all joined together before the great flood.

" Gen. 6:2 tells us who fathered the daughters...."The sons of God (angels) saw that the daughters of men were fair, and they took wives of all they desired and chose". Jude 1:6 tells us what God did to these angels, "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day"."

No, every person is the the "Sons of God", only those who repent of their sins and ask Christ to come into their lives and follows His commandments are "Sons and Daughters of God". The angels are also referred to as Sons of God.

Why isn't this verse being associated with Israel's rebirth Mathew 24:34, along with Jesus' comment regarding "as in the days of Noah" in Mathew 24:37. Additionally, Daniel 12:4 says "knowledge will increase" and Daniel 12:10 says "the wise shall understand." Modern Biological, medical, and Nutritional experts say human body can live 120 years when taken care ofproperly.

Thank you. I like that. I listened to Ezekiel this Sunday. I want listen to it again. Someone left a comment on Ezekiel in Genesis 1 that i also like.

This is a very interesting chapter of the bible concerning Adam and Eve being the only ones in the Garden.

Ezekiel 31:3 Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.

4 The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.

5 Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.

6 All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.

7 Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.

8 The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.

9 I have made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him. (Family trees? Trees have emotions, like envy?)

S yes Satan was an angel and then he sinned

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that OLD SERPENT old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
  • S - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 3 years ago
Luke 3:38 Adam is called a son of God but he sinned then sin separated Adam and his wife and offspring from God. By Jesus only can you become a son of God.
  • S - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 3 years ago
Wasn't the devil the one that used the serpent.

Wasn't the devil an angel before he sinned?
  • S - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 3 years ago
No.Adam and Eve were the first humans. Adam called Eve the mother of all living.
  • S - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 3 years ago
    Read John 1:1
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
Gordon The bible does not indicate there were angels prior to Genesis 6. So my answer would be no.

But there were giants after the flood think David and Goliath and the philistines.
  • Gordon campbell on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
were there giants on earth before Adam and Eve?
  • Tommy Sullivan - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
Actually Sons of God in Hebrew means Bene ha elohim, which only refers to angelic beings. And the elohim means God, and all angels has the name of God (Elohim) within the meaning of their names. And this is how Giants even came into being. They can't be Giants if there is a spiritual union between to regular humans. The angels left their habitation to come to earth and have sex with the daughters of man ( ha Adam) and or the daughters of Cain. And this union created Nephilim...the Men of Renown.

    Mickey on Isaiah 14:12-16

One of satans other names is: DESTROYER. He is the ACCUSER of the brethren. He is a murderer, a liar. Revelation 12:10, Job chapter 1-2; Zechariah

Actually in Isaiah chapter 14:12-16, satan says I WILL 5 times!

One of satans other names is: DESTROYER.

There is the Will Of God. God gave FREE WILL to Adam and Eve.

But there is another will operating that is not a part of Gods purpose for earth or mankind. I think when satan was kicked out of Heaven, he retained his WILL.

Don't blame God for the bad things that happen to you and others. We have Jesus now. I look at Job and he was a righteous man. Keep yourself & family soaked in prayer! Be alert

RC that is the best explanation I have ever heard of repentance.
well done. Mark 1:15 - .... Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,......And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mark 6:12 - And they 12 apostles went out, and preached that men should repent.
Jesus speaking in Luke 13:3 - I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
  • RC on Genesis 6:6 - 4 years ago
There is no discrepancy in God's Word. In regard to God's repenting because He created man in earth was not because of God sinning as man does. God cannot sin. Repentance is being sorrowful in your heart for human sin (disobeying God). God was sorrowful for His creation, not GOD sinning. Thank God, Jesus paid the price for OUR sin...He was without sin....God loved us (creation) enough to make way to be with Him through the Cross and Blood of His pure Son. Today repent for your sin, ask Jesus to save you, believe in your heart He died and rose again and confess Him as your Lord and Savior. Saved by grace..a gift from God...God with us..Thank You Lord Jesus!!!

I am certain to many individuals are dependent upon others to tell him/her what God's word means. While this may be accurate in many cases it is no substitute for the person to read God's Holy Word thereby knowing when someone attempts to lead him/her astray. This may or may not be purposefully intended. However, when dealing with God's Word there is no room for error! This may partly be why Linda seems to be so uncertain. The Lord tells us to study to make ourselves worthy. We must study to know and understand the Word of God.
  • Brenda - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
Hi again Linda. God owns the Ark. Based upon recent research it appears the Ark has not been definitely located. Yes, the Ark was built by Noah, and his sons, wife, and daughters-in-law. I believe this building was made possible because God made it possible. Noah's faith was non failing as people of the time laughed, and made fun of this family. Trust and faith in God is something one must read about often (daily). May I ask if you are a reader of the KJV Bible? What is your status in respect to being a believer or not. I am a firm believer in God The Father, Christ, Son of The Living God, and the Holy Spirit. There is no other way to find salvation.
  • Brenda - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
Ethan, I responded to the lady whom stated Noah did not build The Ark. We know he did because we read our Bible. I requested this woman read the book of Genesis (KJV Bible), and get back to me. Not sure where this person is coming from. Just wanted to provide her with facts and where to find them. God bless you and yours.
  • Brenda - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
I do know that God lives inside the hearts and soul of his children. I assure you Noah did indeed build The Ark! Each detail from the largest to the smallest was given to Noah from God. This entire vision, along with instruction to Noah is discussed in detail in the book of Genesis (KJV Holy Bible). Please review this, and let me know your thoughts on this topic. God bless you!
  • Luke - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
No, you cannot. Also what remains of the Ark has been found high on the mountains of Ararat. Multiple people have seen it or touched it. Its just a very dangerous journey to take even without tribes of bandits robbing unsuspecting travelers/explorers. Research it.
  • Vendall - In Reply on Genesis 6:2 - 4 years ago
I have pondered this one for years but I prayed to the Holy Spirit a moment ago for help with this controversial passage, then went back to the verse and saw your old post. Seems very reasonable and scripturaly sound so I am blessed by your comment as I continue my study! God bless you!
  • Vendall - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
Because he gave us free will. Even though he gave us his perfect instructions, we make our own decisions and must accept the consequences be they good or bad. Free will! He did not want love that was not freely given...who does?
  • Luke - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
As it was in days of Noah....some people believe that these fake aliens/UFO's experimenting on human's sex organs are trying to create human/Nephilim hybrids. UFO's are fallen angels impersonating UFO's or aliens to weaken belief in God. Genetic manipulation happened in the past and its happening today.
  • Luke - In Reply on Genesis 6 - 4 years ago
Part 2: Of course angels don't get married (in general) BUT these fallen angels were clearly breaking that law. Every ancient culture across the globe mentions this only in the context of their false gods. Zeus, Hercules, Odin, Thor, Shiva, Quetzalcoatl etc. were all fallen angels FAKING that they were gods. It's not until they were rounded up and put in the Abyss to be released later that they were stopped. That's where all the false faiths come from.
As far as angels becoming human, why not? Jacob wrestled an angel. Lucifer can change his form, why couldn't these fallen angels? The Sodomites who tried to rape the angels who were Lot's guests thought that they were human men.
