Thank you very much. It was good information and I agree with it; but i did make a few wrong assumptions in my previous comments and your comments confirms some things i was thinking about where I reached the same conclusion. I will be adding a comments pointing out some false assumptions that I had and expanding on Adam and God walking and talking together. etc.. Thank you again because it was very helpful and assuring. I love it. Thanks

Peter, the word "Soul" often refers to a person (i.e. who you are). A human being in entirety is comprised of a Body (the physical structure), the Soul (the body given life) and the Spirit (the immaterial part that is akin to the mind, feelings, responses to outside forces, incl. God's Spirit or evil spirits). And yet, there can be some fusion in these parts. BTW, it was said of Jesus that He was made a little lower than the angels ( Heb 2:9): in regards to His humanity. To Adam & Eve: they were living souls who had no concept of good or evil as they were sinless in direct communication & obedience to their Creator. After succumbing to temptation, sin came upon them, & they knew good & evil.
  • Peter on Genesis 2 - 3 years ago
A living soul could however talk to God and God would talk with him, but he was a little lower than the angels (I think that it says that somewhere) but he did not have the knowledge of Good or Evil although he was born good and may have had some concept on what was good and what God did and said and made and what Adam saw, heard, tasted and smelled and felt was good. So he may have had some idea of what was good n but not what was evil. So that must be a living soul

Just good writing techniques. 1st we say what we are going to say and then we say it. One tells you things; and 2 tells you more about those things; and the writer does not have to tell us everything. God may have known our questions but if He had answered them all; the Bible would be mighty big, so big, you would never be able to read it all and so we would still not know the answer to our question; Maybe so big, it would confuse scholars as it sometimes does today. So the scholars and preachers read it but they may not know the answers to our questions. We can however discuss the Bible, but also we should take it by Faith.
  • Peter on Genesis 2:7 - 3 years ago
What is the breath of life; and man became a living soul. A living soul is a soul that lives. So, I would say, that there must be souls that do not live. Man may have had a soul before but with the breath of life, he became a living soul. So what would the soul be? It must be something in all animals but man must have one that is living; and so it seems to be what ever the difference is between animals and men or I could probably say between animals and people. That must be the living soul; what ever it is.

Remember the old song we sing in church, Nothing But the Blood Of Jesus?
If demons are holding you down and another is holding your mouth shut....all ya got, is your spirit screaming I'm covered with the blood of Jesus!!
It's sorta like fire fire for fire help.
God hears it. You will be released! Hope you never have to use it! Spiritual warfare is very real. Keep your armor on at all times. Baby Christians need much prayer coverage by intercessory prayer Warriors. Jesus is seated at the right hand of God interceding for the saints. (On earth)
Anyone ever see that movie the War Room?'
If you are going to do battle in spiritual warfare, you must be baptized by the Holy Spirit.
  • Renee - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 3 years ago
Regarding pleading the blood of Jesus Christ, are there any scriptures in the New Testament found to support this phrase? I disagree with Genesis 2 because it did not explain the pleading of the blood.
  • Mickey - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 3 years ago
    To Renee:
All newborn babies have their fathers blood type. Jesus DID NOT have Joseph's blood type. Mary conceived by the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit. An angel told Joseph not to be afraid to marry her; that she had conceived by the Holy Spirit. Joseph and Mary did not have relations till after Jesus was born.
If his blood type was from God, that would make his blood very special.
I had been an astrologer. I had a very super natural salvation experience on Yom Kippur. I had severe demonic attacks after. My mind would be paralyzed with fear. I heard the HS tell me to plead the Holy Blood Of Jesus. As soon as I said it the demons fled. Praise God for His protection & love.
  • Renee on Genesis 2 - 3 years ago
Do New Testament believers of Jesus Christ plead his blood? I can't find any reference in scripture. Yet, I hear other believers repeating this phrase "I plead the blood over your finances, illness etc". Please help me find scriptural proof. Thank you.

Xs, listen to the word of God if you get faith then act on it. Only those that believe in Jesus are not condemned. After you believe you have to be a doer of the word. You're a Jew outwardly but it's better to be a Jew inwardly. Jesus is mentioned in the Old Testament.
    John 5

44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.

47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words
  • Job - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
Jesus and all of his deciples were Jews. But, most to this day don't believe Jesus is Christ. But in the end they will.
  • Job - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
Have you ever watched a movie and they have flash backs? This is what happened in Gen. Read ahead and you will see what I'm talking about. First God said he created man and later He tells how He created them.

In Matthew Chapter 3, when Jesus was baptized by John, it was in fulfillment of Exodus 29:4. Jesus answered John and said it becomes "us" to fulfill all righteousness. According to Numbers 4:30, 30 years of age is the age of the priesthood. The priest also had to go through a baptism, Exodus 29:4. Interesting because here is John the baptizer standing there and Jesus says this is for "us" to fulfill all righteousness. So John is stepping in the place of Moses and baptizing Jesus for the priesthood. Anointing of the priesthood is in Exodus 29:7. Jesus was 30, and Jewish law said you had to be 30, and be baptized. John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. Jesus' baptism was of righteousness

Why do we Baptize in the Name of Jesus Christ when Jesus Christ was Baptize but not in his own name? Who was HE baptized in the Name of???
  • Mickey - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
You should read a testimony by a Jewish man, named Stan Telchin. His daughter entered college and in time was born again. He fought her new beliefs and set out to prove that she was deceived. It's has history about how the Jews came to be dispersed from Israel. In his searching he has blessed many Jewish believers. Read his journey and I hope it answers questions you have.
If you have questions about prophesies in the Bible, try reading some of Arthur E Bloomfield's books. Reading a newspaper alongside his books will make you very excited about the present and near future.
God grafted gentiles into the family of Israel. It is his plan at work. God bless your search.

Xs, it mentions all through the KJV Bible that the Lord Jesus Christ is almighty God. Also, to be saved please read Acts 16:31.May the Lord Jesus Christ keep and bless you forever. The word Babylon means confusion, you can research this. The Trinity means the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one, 1 John 5:7-8. Please continue to read your KJV bible, God talks to you through the scriptures.

Some scholars say that the first male and female in Genesis 1:27 created he them was the Lord creating the souls.
Adam did not have a body till later when the Lord took the dust of the earth and breathed into it
the breath of life in Genesis 2:7.
  • Job on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
    27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.? But, He already made man in verse 7. So. He created another man?
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
One last thing Genesis 3:15 gives a hint of the coming savior
Genesis 14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. one day messiah shall crush the head of the serpent.

Many claim Job is older than Genesis
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
I am sure you know many Jews claim to not believe in God. Those who do attend Synagogue or Temple many study from the Babylonian Talmud. Talmud means learning so Babylonian learning which is the opinion of rabbis. Some of which came from Babylon. Much of this is oral tradition and Jesus condemned it as the tradition of the elders. The Rabbis did not even agree with each other and much of it contradicts what the Torah or Tanach teaches.
Even the unbelieving Jews or Pharisees acknowledge in their writings admit Jesus performed many miracles.
You have a choice either Jesus did his miracles via God the Father or He was a master of kabbalah.
Ask in prayer for the truth and read the gospels.

Actually its stated that Jesus is Lord in Genesis 1:26 when God said that lets make man in our image. meaning that in creation God wasn't alone and this is also confirmed in John 1:1-4.
they can receive salvation by believing in God as its stated in John 3 when Nicodemus asked Jesus how he could be born again. actually salvation was first for the Jews and it then came to the gentiles as its stated by Paul in romans 1:16.
You don't have to learn to love Christ because nothing you can do in your strength lasts forever ( psalm 73:26) but just pray that God can teach you to love Him.
  • Xs on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
If the Lord wanted EVERYONE to follow 'his son' and think of Jesus he is 'Lord',wouldn't it say so SOMEWHERE in Genesis if for no other reason than to give the Jews a heads up? Or because Jews were the 'chosen' people, are they supposed to use the direct line to G-d?
I am Jewish and friends of mine who are not, basically WARN that in order to be 'saved' you must come to the realization that Jesus IS G-d?I love all people...so, I can love Jesus, but to 'take him as Lord and Savior'is just not what we ever learned in Hebrew school! In fact, Jesus was NEVER really spoken about in the life of the Jews that Ive known! So, can anyone tell me how those that are Jewish are to receive salvation? TY
  • MeMyselfandI - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
Yes it tells you in later chapters that Adam and Eve had more daughters and sons.
  • MeMyselfandI - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
If he didn't create more humans, then you and I would not be here. God created ALL life. You and me also.
  • MeMyselfandI - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
But, God does say so. Sometimes you have to read the next few verses and they will tell you the answer.
  • MeMyselfandI - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
They did have more sons and daughters.
  • MeMyselfandI - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
Just because the US has In God we trust on money don't mean the US is more or less a christian nation.
  • MeMyselfandI - In Reply on Genesis 2 - 4 years ago
No. Adam and Eve had daughters also.
