Scenario: "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also." When men despise and reject the Truth, they become prey to the father of lies; and their strong delusions are held by their pride.

Scenario: Son comes home from college and says I can no longer believe the word of God because the Universe is Billions of years old. Do not rebuke him. Please remember the information that was given you, and follow it verse by verse, for it actually supports it. But, also love those who do not believe it. Love is worthless if one cannot forgive.

And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.
The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. I shall stay true to his Word for it is truth.

Gen.1:3 "And God, said let there be light, and there was light." God "said" it, that's all. It does not say "the heavens were condensed", which caused the light, nor does it say "God is stretching forth the heavens today." There is nothing new under the sun, and the world is passing away.
  • Stretcheth the Heavens Zech 12:1 ily on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, stretcheth means:in a prolong fashion.Clearly the Heavens were more condensed to begin with, therefore the stretching. This is still going on today. All the components being closer together allow the Earth to have more light in its original construction. No need for the Sun and Moon to be set in place yet
  • Word on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
Annie think of it this way. God is in control of His word and it is His will that we received the word the way He wanted us to have it. Also remember our Father created everything we see and even what we see with and He is so powerful so I believe that He made sure we received the scriptures exactly in the order He wanted us to have them and exactly how we are able to read them. God made sure.

  • Day 1 begins in darkness and ends in light: Isaiah 45 on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
7I form the light, form means: to squeeze like potters clay. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? We know light burst forth and the morning began. The light was good. Time began as well as the works of old.(things are born, grow old and die) This was the foundation of this universe and world. Evening and morning in that order. Jesus is the light of the World
  • No one more Worthy than Jesus Christ to have Victory over Death: The Word of God on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
and darkness was upon the face of the deep, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light,. in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord,..For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven
  • A disciple on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
"And God said, Let there be light: and there was light... And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night;" From out of His divine power and wisdom and knowledge, God said, "Let there be light." He knew the light before He made it shine on His coming works, and then after He made great Lamps to be set in the heavens for the benefit of the earth.
  • Son of God is the Word (Bruce) Rev 19:13 John 1:1Mark 13:23ily on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth .. behold, I have foretold you all things. As man we know not how but the general outline in perfect order. The LORD is my rock, salvation

1228; We know 1 thing for certain, the light in 1:3 was created. It did not exist prior to day 1 of creation. We also know that the celestial bodies were not created until day 4. We know that God is light and that Jesus is the light of the world. Of course they both existed prior to creation. Perhaps, God (being God) created a sourceless light. Our God is indeed an awesome God!
  • The word own: Isaiah 25…(7).. 2 Corinthians 3.(14)..(18) Gen 1:27 on Genesis 1 - 6 years ago
And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. CC: Through time words changed meaning. Words we use today don't mean exactly what they did when they first were used. Years back Replenish just meant to fill up---etc. Do a Word study on replenish or any word. You will be surprised a lot of words don't mean exactly what we think they do.

1228; You ask a question that only God can give a complete answer: but we'll try the best we can to help with that one! In Revelation it says about there being no light of the sun or the moon, because the glory of God is the lamp, and the Lamb the light thereof. That sure makes you think! It also says about God, that He dwells in the light that no man can approach unto. The light in the beginning?

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, The chemical elements in water, hydrogen and oxygen, are some of the most abundant elements in the universe. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Our creator is on the right hand of God and is above all the Heavens. Stephen and Paul understand as we do

Genesis 1:3 declares the creation of Light. Note however that it was not until Genesis 1:14 that God created the Sun and the heavenly bodies. Following chronology of creation, is Genesis 1:3 suggesting that there is a source of light other than the sun? Other than fire? Or is the verse simply metaphorical? This comment posts the question; what light was created on the first day?

Question: 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it > "Replenish" the earth. I always thought at God created us for the first time.. but this implies that the earth is being "replenished".
