Osmenio faner's comment on 7/02/2017, 1:40pm...

Genesis is a book of origins. it records the origin of our universe, the human race, sin, redemption, family life, corruption of society, the nations, different languages, and the Hebrew race. Genesis portrays Adam

Jeff; Maybe it was because Patrick was the one who brought the Word of God and the Glad Tidings of Christ to heathen Ireland, that is meant by "getting rid of the serpents." I don't know who Bridget was, but maybe the story around her was symbolic [as well]? What Prophecy are you referring to?

A disciple's comment on 6/18/2017, 3:14pm...

Dr. Gordon; I don't understand; what are you talking about? How do you think, 1) that your opinion doesn't matter? and, 2) that the holy Narrative of the account of Creation, is somehow only to be interpreted as from "ancient near east" thinking? Please explain.

Jeff's comment on 6/18/2017, 5:02am...

The prophecy is not true cause how can st Patrick drive all the snakes out of Ireland. How can st Bridget have a small cloth and spread it on a massive land iT MAKES no sense. AT ALL

Dr Dennis Gordon's comment on 6/17/2017, 10:05pm...

What do I think of Genesis 1? Frankly, my personal opinion is not what is important. What is important is what GOD wants us to understand from it, which, in turn, is based on what the Israelities were supposed to understand from it because it was written in the context of the ancient Near East.

Precious Suele's comment on 6/15/2017, 11:07am...

Genesis1 is very interesting

Bruce's comment on 6/15/2017, 1:04am...

Jack E: Genesis 2 is zooming in on Genesis 1. More detail.

Jack E.'s comment on 6/14/2017, 9:03am...

In Genesis 2:4 it says in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heaven's . in verse 5 it says and every plant of the field before it it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not man to till the ground. Thete a very distinct difference between the field. And the earth.

Bruce's comment on 6/14/2017, 3:30am...

Jack-E: The last Day of Creation was on the Sixth Day. When you feel The Lord Tugging on Your Heart, ask Forgiveness. Checkout Genesis 2:1

Jack Ellington's comment on 6/13/2017, 8:22pm...

God rested on the 7th. Day!

Jack Ellington's comment on 6/13/2017, 8:50am...

On the sixth day all the races were created! On the 8th day adam was created.

Bruce's comment on 6/13/2017, 8:47am...

voice: When One is Saved. They're Washed by The Blood of The Lamb. Then The Holy Ghost moves in. He is The One who Teaches The Believer as They Study The Word. He shall teach us all things:John 14:26. Has He Tugged on Your Heart? John 6:44 / His Sheep hears his voice they won't listen to strangers: John 10:3-5 / Your voice is strange. / Is Your Name in His Book? Revelation 20:15

The voice's comment on 6/12/2017, 9:18pm...

How did the word get out? Who disclosed the books. Who is the reader? Who received the Revelation of Jesus Christ? What is a man? God Created on the sixth day but The Lord God formed on the seventh. Then there is another Day. The eighth day? Who is he who is Ordained by God who bears the sword? The Lord of the earth?

I appreciate the Holy Spirit leading me to this site and enjoyed listening to the readers voice. I am thankful for the Bible. Especially in any assistance it gave me in being able to believe and receive the love of good Holy Spirit forevermore, who put me on this Earth to be loved by Him and made to be holy by Him. I love that we were made to be holy like Him. Made in His image in this way.

Anita's comment on 6/07/2017, 12:14am...

"I know it is a very clear parable of what "The Elohim Yahweh" created, when, who, where and how powerful and Almighty "He IS"! You think?

A disciple's comment on 6/02/2017, 9:15am...

Scenario: "The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also." When men despise and reject the Truth, they become prey to the father of lies; and their strong delusions are held by their pride.

Cheryl, V.3 "Let there be light" He created light, in the following verses He tells what the purpose of the light was for. V.14 "Let there be lights" Notice "lights" is plural, here he created, the Sun, Moon, and stars, and the following verses tell you what the purpose of the lights were for. I hope this helps.

Love one another as I have loved you. ( leaving site) ILY's comment on 6/01/2017, 10:22am...

Scenario: Son comes home from college and says I can no longer believe the word of God because the Universe is Billions of years old. Do not rebuke him. Please remember the information that was given you, and follow it verse by verse, for it actually supports it. But, also love those who do not believe it. Love is worthless if one cannot forgive.

Cheryl's comment on 6/01/2017, 6:32am...

Verses 1-5 explains the light spo why is it repeated in 14-18

Taylor's comment on 5/31/2017, 8:01pm...

I loved genesis 1 I love the bible

Lilith is Hebrew for Screech Owl: Isaiah 34: 13-14 This knowledge is from Babylo's comment on 5/31/2017, 10:58am...

And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.
The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. I shall stay true to his Word for it is truth.

Michael Kingswell's comment on 5/30/2017, 1:03pm...

Lilith was Bourne equal to Adam and was given eternity in paradise, and still live amongst us. Adam dies 900 years later but God made eve from Adam yet we do not know how long eve lived

Lu2677's comment on 5/30/2017, 4:41am...

Gen.1:3 "And God, said let there be light, and there was light." God "said" it, that's all. It does not say "the heavens were condensed", which caused the light, nor does it say "God is stretching forth the heavens today." There is nothing new under the sun, and the world is passing away.
