A former colleague of mine once said, "We are all God's children". That is so true.
  • A disciple on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." Leading in to this statement, Paul uses the simile of a "Schoolmaster " and the idea of Graduating has many apparently confused about the importance of the Law "because we are NOW Christians under grace." What part of any of God's commandments are we now released from keeping? Seventh-Day Sabbaths? No Covetousness? Doing no evil to our neighbor? Honoring our parents? NO IDOLS? And which of all the Statutes and ordinances? The sacrifices and observing holy days? We read in the Prophets that these too will all be kept and practiced under the full weight of Christ's Authority, and penalty by His Rod of Iron if they don't. There are many things we have yet to learn! The Apostles commanded that the Gentiles should not be held under scrutiny or bondage to keep the Law of Moses, as in becoming Jews but they DID NOT DENOUNCE IT, OR FORBID IT! Paul's teaching was to show the completeness of the grace of God in Christ for the Believer NOT to overthrow what God had enjoined to Israel for ever.

My prayer for the church is that we would all become "one" in Christ Jesus. If we all "Put on Christ" by being "Baptised into Christ" (Acts2:38)there would not be all these different denominations, and different doctrines.Let us "build upon the Apostles and the Prophets with Jesus Christ as the Chief Corner Stone" (Eph2:20)

    Amen.

Eternal truths- There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
  • A disciple on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Brian; I think you're not understanding something about "in the Name of Jesus" and "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Read Psalm 2 for example, and we see that we are commanded to "Kiss the Son;" which means, "The only Name given among men whereby we must be saved." That doesn't put Him above or apart from the Father and the Holy Spirit; but is part of the whole.
  • Mahlon on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
The law requires a sacrifice. Faith is a gift. Gifts are given. God gave Jesus was given and not demanding he gave himself he gave his life he gave his love he gave his life by faith we accept all three and now we are free because of the faith of Abraham and his love the word god. All of us who are in Christ are the Seed of Abraham and Jesus was referred to as the Seed of Abraham. Faith is the sub

In Phil. 2:2, 5 we are invited: “Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind… Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…” God wants us to be one with Him, to live in our hearts and minds. “Abide in me, and I in you. John 15:4". “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you...? 1Co 6:19"
  • Brother Daniel FC on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Say Brian, I think you re confusing UNITY with MULTIPLE PERSONALITY: God the Father, Jesus His only begotten Son and the Holy Spirit can think and act as ONE because of their perfect mind but none of them suffer of multiple personality disorder, as you maintain. Read John 17, the most beautiful prayer in the Bible: Is Jesus praying to Himself?
  • Ray321 on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. The unsaved will be under the law, they will be judged by God. Believers in Christ Jesus is not under the law, because we Jesus paid the price on the cross, but it doesn't give us license to break the law or sin.
  • Thembi on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Being justified by faith we have peace with God! No works of the law can make us holy, its amazing that other laws we discard but the law of tithing we continue preach as form of justification.Cursed is everyone who continue in the law and not faith.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. In Context Full Chapter Other Translations 1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. God is the Word, God is the Father, God is the Son, God is the Holy Spirit, all persons are ONE
  • Brian on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
disciple, its ONE GOD not 1 person. ONE LAST TIME Matt 28:19 "..baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" NOT NAMES! Darn Disciples must have disobeyed the command right from Jesus mouth when they didn't use THREE NAMES! Acts 19:5 " Acts 19:5 "...they were baptized in the NAME of the LORD JESUS." Acts 8:16 "..were baptized in the NAME of the Lord JESUS CHRIST."
  • A disciple on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Brian, Bruce, Irene, and everyone else to whom it may apply; YOU said that the Father, and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all one person! I stand by the Truth and common sense understanding, that "there are THREE that bear record in heaven; the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one." Not one person, but one in heart, in character, in love, in will, and holy eternal divinity!
  • A disciple on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
"If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; he is proud, knowing nothing, but sick about questions and strifes of words, whereof comes envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth... from such withdraw thyself."
  • Brian on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
disciple, so then apparently Jesus Christ was confused in John 14:26 when He said the FATHER would send the Holy Ghost and He must have corrected Himself then in John 16:7 when He said HE would send it instead? And in Matthew 18:20 apparently we are to expect Jesus Christ in the FLESH to sit with us as we gather and NOT the HOLY GHOST. And I'm twisting scriptures? Listen to JESUS CHRIST...
  • A disciple on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Brian; NO! Jesus does NOT identify Himself as all three persons! You yourself read and write out the Scriptures; but twist them out of context to fit a false teaching! But there is a vast number of misguided and deceived; just as the Lord said there would be. If the another gospel can take you off on something so strange; it goes together that the same folks don't get freed from their sins either.
  • A disciple on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Very interesting group of Scriptures, Steve! There is where men are defiled, and defiled means unclean and so unfit for the presence of God...and that in the very thing men without understanding hope to find acceptance of God! One who is offended in Christ, yet tries to come by his own way instead! Not waiting for the revelation of knowledge from God, but guessing out of one's own darkened mind.
  • Brian on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, WHOM THE FATHER WILL SEND..." John 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth....if I depart, I WILL SEND him unto you." Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, THERE AM I in the midst of them." JESUS CHRIST plainly identifies HIMSELF as all 3 manifestations. Go ahead

John 10:30 "I and my Father are one." Let's say Bob climbs inside a costume to play a character named Joe. On the outside we see Joe, inside it is invisible Bob. There are not now 2 of them. The INVISIBLE God PUT ON FLESH in the form of Jesus Christ that did not make 2 Gods. John 1:14 And the Word WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us.." Jesus Christ is the flesh God put on. They r ONE
  • Brian on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Deut 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord" not 3. God is an invisible spirit and doesn't have a right hand, that is metaphor for "the hand of power". He put on flesh John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us" Hebrews 10:5 "Wherefore when he cometh into the world...a body hast thou prepared me" Jesus Christ IS GOD manifest in flesh and is on the throne Hebrews 12:2

Redeemed; There are THREE, says the Scriptures! Why do some just refuse to accept that? Jesus is right now at the right hand of the Father in heaven, and His Spirit is sent into the world in His disciples. The Father sits on the throne with a little scroll in His hand, and Jesus came and took the little scroll from His hand. Jesus was baptized, the Spirit descended, the Father spoke from heaven.
  • A disciple on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Of course, Brother; I do forgive and release with all my heart. I can be over-sensitive, I think; and when I remember how the Lord ALWAYS responded; both to friends and foes; in perfect understanding and perfect self-control, ALWAYS with the straight forward truth, seasoned with salt, AND compassion for our frailty; I am ashamed of the way I am. Forgive me too.
  • Redeemed on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Gal 3:16, I love how the word of God is very specific he saith not to thy seeds as many but to thy seed which is one which is Christ. Just like Matthew 28:19 baptizing them in the name, he saith not names as many but name which is one which is Jesus Christ. Isaiah 9:6 the Sons name shall be called Counsellor which is the Holy Ghost, everlasting Father the fulfillment of Matt28:19. Praise the Holy1

Lu2677; why do you keep sneaking around and taking cuts at me? I have done you no wrong! Why do you have to turn everything I say into a chance to say something else? Tongues have not ceased yet! And if you don't speak in tongues, how would you know anything about it? Paul said, "Do all speak with tongues? Do all prophesy? etc..." Many members, one body; we all need each other's gifts from God!
  • Lu2677 on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
Lance 77, Tongues will cease; scripture doesn't say when. The Holy Ghost coming to the disciples (they spoke in tongues to the people there, Day of Pentecost) in Acts, was for signs and wonders, speaking in the languages of the people . God's mercy; so people there would believe in Christ. Those that think if someone does not speak in tongues, the Holy Spirit does not dwell in them, are very wrong.
  • Lance77 on Galatians 3 - 6 years ago
why does men say they speak in tounges and the bible says it shall cease.
    1 Corinthians 13:9 Context

6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. 8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall va

just because you speak in tounges does not mean you have the holy ghost. The holy ghost or spirit lead you and guide you in all truth
