Wesley's Notes for Galatians 3:14

3:14 That the blessing of Abraham - The blessing promised to him. Might come on the gentiles - Also. That we - Who believe, whether Jews or gentiles. Might receive the promise of the Spirit - Which includes all the other promises. Through faith - Not by works; for faith looks wholly to the promise.

People's Bible Notes for Galatians 3:14

Ga 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. Christ took the curse upon himself that we might be blessed with the believing Abraham (Ga 3:6). Hence Gentiles who believe have the promise of justification, and of the Spirit. Compare Ga 3:2,5. That we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. There it is shown that the Spirit came by the faith, rather than by the law.

Eternal truths- There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Brian; I think you're not understanding something about "in the Name of Jesus" and "in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." Read Psalm 2 for example, and we see that we are commanded to "Kiss the Son;" which means, "The only Name given among men whereby we must be saved." That doesn't put Him above or apart from the Father and the Holy Spirit; but is part of the whole.

The law requires a sacrifice. Faith is a gift. Gifts are given. God gave Jesus was given and not demanding he gave himself he gave his life he gave his love he gave his life by faith we accept all three and now we are free because of the faith of Abraham and his love the word god. All of us who are in Christ are the Seed of Abraham and Jesus was referred to as the Seed of Abraham. Faith is the sub

In Phil. 2:2, 5 we are invited: “Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind… Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…” God wants us to be one with Him, to live in our hearts and minds. “Abide in me, and I in you. John 15:4". “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you...? 1Co 6:19"

Say Brian, I think you re confusing UNITY with MULTIPLE PERSONALITY: God the Father, Jesus His only begotten Son and the Holy Spirit can think and act as ONE because of their perfect mind but none of them suffer of multiple personality disorder, as you maintain. Read John 17, the most beautiful prayer in the Bible: Is Jesus praying to Himself?

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. The unsaved will be under the law, they will be judged by God. Believers in Christ Jesus is not under the law, because we Jesus paid the price on the cross, but it doesn't give us license to break the law or sin.
