Wesley's Notes for Galatians 3:10

3:10 They only receive it. For as many as are of the works of the law - As God deals with on that footing, only on the terms the law proposes, are under a curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one who continueth not in all the things which are written in the law. Who continueth not in all the things - So it requires what no man can perform, namely, perfect, uninterrupted, and perpetual obedience. #Deu 27:26|

People's Bible Notes for Galatians 3:10

Ga 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse. Having just shown that believers through Christ are justified, he next shows that all under the law are in condemnation. It is written. See De 27:26. Compare Ro 3:19,20. Cursed [is] every one that continueth not, etc. Not only those under the law fail of justification, but the curse rests upon them, for all fail to obey all the things in the law. See Ro 3:23.

Discussion for Galatians 3:10

  • The apostle is writing about the ceremonial law. Remember in this first century there was a great divide between Jews gentiles Acts 15 . No one can be right with God by observing ceremonies, only through repentance and faith in Christ.
  • Nailini Baldeo for verse 10
I think Galatians 3:10 should be a base Christís followers and the churches. Not only Galatians 3:10, but the whole chapter. It's about time for all Christís followers to come together and start living by faith versus the law. It is evident that the law is not of faith as Paul explained in Galatians. However, the law had made a law for all churches to sign a form called 50c3, so they can be tax exempt in order to operate. According to Paul, the churches of Christ should not be compromising the law with faith, and as for us, as a body of Christ we should stand up to the law because the law is not of faith. God bless.
