  • A disciple
In this Chapter it is obvious that man is responsible for his own ways before God. Also that God gives us years of life and opportunities and the power to choose the good and avoid the evil, shows His understanding and mercy upon our childish minds and selfishness, allowing space to consider and repent. We are made to be good and righteous, and the commandment is to prepare us for giving account.

When you are employed to sin your pay check is death. The soul that sinneth shall surely die, not maybey, will die whatsoever a man sow he shall reap.Whether it's sin or righteousness Romans says shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, God said no, but if you sow unto righteousness ye shall live, Jesus said blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
  • Evangelist Andrew Kely
God and Father of Jesus never changes, Ezekiel 18:4"The soul the sinneth it shall die" Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death," ((hell fire and brimstone)) it pays to serve the devil it pays to sin your wage or payment is called death. All sin is of the devil period 1st John 3:8 no such scripture as "He that commith sin is of God" all sinners will burn Rev 21:8 unless they get righteous.

Verse 2: The Israelites were blaming the suffering that they were dealing with on their forefathers actions. The Israelites were doing wicked things and were suffering as a result, but they refused to take responsibility for their actions.
  • Brianna vs. 32
Though it seems we are waiting a long time for God to act, vs. 32 shows us that Jehovah God's patience is out of love. He takes no pleasure in having to exercise justice and destroy the wicked. He wants us all to take time to come to know him an live our lives according to his will so that we can live. Truly, God is Love.
  • Anne
This scripture indicates that each person is accountable for himself/herself and must come to know God for himself/herself. Therefore no one is to blame for the life we live. We will all be judged according to our decision on whether or not we accept Christ as our Saviour and live our life according to His laws.
  • Kellie bean
all in all no matters what we do every man has to deal with their own conseqeunces n we still serve a God n action
  • Lynn
Vikki, It is true, scripture speaks for itself. Man's opinion means nothing. Understand God's righteousness from our righteousness Romans 10:3-4
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
  • Allison G.
God does not approve of those who take part in the abominations which are so prevalent in this fallen world. But, He makes sure to point out that our fallen state is not permanent, and urges us to repent. For if we repent, despite all the wrongdoings we have committed, we will be saved through His grace. Additionally, those that have followed His commandments are already saved.
  • John
only when the time comes you take the mark and have to worship satan or die. worship God and die. even if you are saved at that time if you take the mark you will loose your salvation. but you would have to be left behind unsaved and then get saved and then take the mark and then you lost it. just can not take the mark at all ever. die saved and go to heaven
  • Brianna
    @Vikki Mumford
According to these scriptures, and according to Matthew 24:13, a person can lose their salvation. Once saved always saved is not a true teaching of the Bible. Thus the whole point of "judgement day", when we will have to stand before Jehovah God, and he we deem us worthy of salvation. We ourselves can not do that.
  • Trip
In John 6:37 Jesus says "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." Later in the chapter in verse 44 he also says "no man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." However, that is not a free pass to do whatever you want, sin, and it'll all be ok. Live as Christlike as u can.
  • Lucinda Palestrant
Vikki Mumford, Yes, it is possible to loose salvation. This is the warning of Exekiel 18.Matthew 22:14"For many are called, but few are chosen."Also:2 Peter 2:21,2 Timothy 3:5, Galatians 4:9,Romans 8:28-31,etc. Believe God's word, and let no man deceive you. God loved Solomon a righteous man and he lost his. I hope this helps. Let scripture interpret scripture. Man's opinion means nothing!
  • Vikki Mumford
In other words, can one lose his salvation?
  • Gbenga for verse 20
Whatever you sow thou shall surely reap. Every one shall be judge in accordance to their deed, then, do good and do not be yoke with the vanity of this earth which you see or have today and tomorrow they are not
  • Terry lamb for verse 4
If the soul dies why is there judgment as defined in the Book of Revelations. Why are all who are judged to be with devil and his angels for eternity cast into the lake of fire?
  • Rev.Rob
Ezekiel 18 is a powerful word from God. We today need to focus training and teaching children what is right in the eyes of Lord. To treat everyone right, to teach God's statues by living it every day of lives. do what is right and live!!!
  • Sharon
It is sad that most religious sects do not educate children and adults in these things, preferring rather to program them to be exploited and a host and array of evil. It seems that there are those in society who can hardly contain themselves until they can find occasion to defile innocent ones and force them into non-compliance with what is right. I 'll treatment of the poor is rampant as people were not taught when young to advocate for the poor. Parents no longer feel bound to provide for those of their own household either. Western society scoffs at what it terms the old testament.
  • Geoff
We see here a wonderful balance between law and grave.what a graceious God and Saviour we have. Also v25 we often hear a similar thing today.. "that 's not fair of God to do such and such. Ot wasn 't fair that God had to send His only begotten Sinless Son to die for sin!
  • Danny
This is a beautiful chapter. It reflects the righteousness of God in that even the wicked can be saved if he turns from his wickedness. I also like that the chapter clearly outlines what it means to be righteous and what it means to be unrighteous. So we now have to choose between righteousness and unrighteousness. I pray that we all choose wisely, that we may live.
  • Andrew
Last touch principle. The final state of a man determines his fate. What goes before does not count. Although what goes before will help one to attain his final state. So, no hope for anyone who chooses evil for good, hoping to jump off his sinking boat the last minute before it sinks. God will not be fooled.
  • Diesel
THIS CHAPTER IS SIMPLE, KEEP YAHUAH COMMANDMENTS AND LIVE OR BREAK THEM AND DIE. SOUNDS REAL SIMPLE AND IT LINES UP WITH REVELATION CHAPTER 22. SHALOM
  • Jennifer
Well, you must be born again.and when you have the holy spirit of God living inside your soul...not your fleshly carnal mind, you realize the need of a savior Jesus Christ as your atonement to God the Father. Don 't take it in part. But the whole word of God. The Bible also states, if you say you have no sin you make God a liar and the truth is not in you. And my little children I write unto you that you sin not but if you do sin you have an advocate with the Father....Jesus Christ..who is faithful and just to forgive them if you confess them to him
  • Brianna for verse 23
Many people paint Jehovah God as cruel, setting us up to fail in life to receive everlasting punishment. This scripture states the contrary. He doesn 't take delight in the death of a wicked person. He prefers that someone practices what is right, and continues on living. This shows that GOD IS LOVE.
  • Robert
To Roberto that said he is a fallen Christian. The Lord God can still help you. However you must go to him with truth in your heart that you want to change. Tell him of the sin in your life and be sure to name the sin. Ask the Lord for forgiveness and turn from those ways. Also when you find yourself being tempted go to the Lord in prayer sincerely and again name that sin tempting you by name. If you are sincere he will strengthen you and help you through it and even give you a way of escape. Yes it really works. Remember we have a fallen nature and we must continue in sincere prayer.
  • Trevor for verse 20
    So the soul is MORTAL
  • Max Young Lynn
Any fallen christian can return to the open arms of a loving non judgemental god. We must pray for his way, truth and life. Never become afraid of the word in your sin, he is forever faithful. Learn to love him as he loves you so dearly.
  • Tommy stevenson for verse 24
it mean just what it says, however i expect those who embrace the false doctrine of once save always to invent their own interpre tation, yes another lie to cover the first one.Such folks will be well advise to note that God himself spoke those words, also remember:I am the Lord I change not
  • Roberto for verse 24
I am a fallen christian or believer and having to read this at sunday evening 19:30-30/12/13 i felled
frightnent understanding that I am doomed
This is what the bible meant when many will say: Lord, have I not done great things in thy name. And the Lord will say:Away from me,I had never known you!!!
Manytime I read the bible and it scares the hell out of me!!!
I have a habit of falling into sin where my fonerabillity strengtence each day instead of my salvation thru Christ
And here's the thing: I know for a fact that the End Time which the book of Daniel had prophecist is already at hand
All I could think about is my Doom!!
Anyways that's what i needed to say
  • Terry
to live is to have eternal life
to die is to have eternal damnation
to live in the pleasure of the world is just like being dead (to God) so awake to righteousness and sin not.
A man of God must open and explain the scriptures by the Spirit of God or people will be confused shown by saying the soul does not die. The soul joined with a body (God will get all out of the graves and put flesh back on our bones) will be live in heaven or hell determined by the state of mind at the time of our physical death and then judged by Jesus Christ to either inherit eternal life or be cast into an eternal damnation.
