    The florid reporting by Ezekiel is the construction of The Great Pyramid at Giza, as explained to him during a meeting of exiles by the river at Chebar about 590 BC.

    the wheels are "spirit" vehicle's,which the cherubs spirit dwells in,just like our human body is the vehicle for our soul and spirit in this world,cherubs are a high order of living creature's,celestial beings that are associated with the holiness of God and surround Gods throne and are part of Gods throne,God rides the cherubims,these are not angels (messengers) but of a much higher order,lucifer before he fell (isaiah ch14) was a cherub,the anointed cherub that covereth,(ezekielch28)there are many frauds outthere who will tell u these wheels are a spacecraft,just read the scripture closely in the book of ezekiel and the bible will interpret the bible,cherubs are "beasts",and the spirit of the beast is in the wheel,satan is a beast,a dragon,so are unclean spirits,u.f.o sightings today are these beasts whose spirit is in the wheel,who come from another dimension called "the pit" outer darkness,
  • Bill Millner Jr on Ezekiel 1 - 10 years ago
    The wheels described in the Great Book of Ezekiel sounds like some type of space craft. Of course, Ezekiel had never seen anything except an ox cart wheel but he did a good job of describing the movement and the landing gear plus the windows round about the craft. Also, Ezekiel described the wheels being round and moving together forward, up ward and down. God may have shown Ezekiel a space craft from another demention? Any responses?

  • Mosadoluwa Olaniyi on Ezekiel 1 - 10 years ago
    This chapter is a unique because Ezekiel gave full description of God.Though,he did not see Him but His cherubim.This means that God can still manifest to the people who have clean heart and pure mind whatever they are.Even,they may not be a prophet but shows them the future and anythings that want to befall on them and way out.Therefore,we need to move closer to God with whole heart and righteousness in order to see favour of Almighty.

    The vision of Ezekiel along with that of Rev.4: is a visual and prophetic view of the earth.I have transformed a world globe which depicts these visions while maintaining the earths topography. Take a look at a globe and see.

    Its a verry good verse.
  • Zac hendricks on Ezekiel 1:15 - 10 years ago
    It's interesting to note that the terms that Ezekiel used to explain what he saw, were limited to the current vernacular of his day. Terms like "UFO" or "aliens" did not exist in those days.

    Truly, the Bible is alive, timely, and full of wonder.

    I believe that in this chapter God is letting mankind know that he is in control and we all must move in him and stay in him to make sure that we are moving and in the right direction that he wants you to go. This is being led by God in every aspect of our daily lives. This is giving everything to God and not holding any part back. He is our all and all, the center of our being.
  • Jim on Ezekiel 1 - 11 years ago
    Here's the problem. This book is unlike any other book in the Bible in that Ezekiel describes in his best vernacular of the time, a machine, or a thing, that affects and is affected by the natural world. It includes a being that he says has the LIKENESS of God. Remember, you will NOT "see" God and live. So this is NOT God. In addition, it is so critical that an Omnipotent Being named God flash fire and smoke and noise and lightning and heat and roaring noise come on, that's absurd. And finally, there are a LOT of 'actors' here. Who are the six "men" with weapons? Who is the one other person, "a man" with the clipboard?
  • Dan on Ezekiel 1 - 11 years ago
    A vision in the Bible is where one sees right into the spiritual realm, and what Ezekiel saw were Seraphim, Cherubim, and these "wheels within wheels" known as the Ophanim. These are real, living spiritual beings in a place way above our reality. I think it's not correct to say these angelic beings are earthly machines such as helicopters like the comment below says!
  • Insight 777 on Ezekiel 1 - 11 years ago
    Ezekiels vision of the Cherubim, is one of the most difficult in Scripture to understand. The meaning may differ slightly in the Old Testament, but in Revelation this is what is described. Once you realize that God is showing him a vision of the FUTURE, a 21st century WW3 battle scene, then it becomes clear. He sees flying machines and does not know if they are living beasts or not. Here is an explanation, but please research photos online so you can see for yourself.
    1. Cherubim = dual blade helicopter similar in style to a KA-50 Kamov Attack Helicopter;
    2. Cloud fringed with light = smoke from missiles (intense brilliancy) in a battlefield;
    3. 4 copters approach and he can see pilots;
    4. The 1st copter = the pilot helmet gear is not covering his face;
    5. 2nd copter behind the 1st has a helmet that is white with his air apparatus on making it look like a beak, eagle;
    6. 3rd copter to left, pilot has a helmet like a Alpha 200 Dual Visor Helicopter Helmet (available in gold color);
    7. 4th copter pilot has a F35 JSF Helmet - Blurring the lines between man and machine (looks just like an ox!);
    8. Helicopter legs do not bend... copters can turn in any direction without bending and can roll forward or sideways;
    9. Angel= flying machine, all studded with eyes = has technology that allows 360 degree vision;
    10. Expanse of crystal = the window in front of the pilot;
    11. Looking through the window he saw the throne with a pilot seated. It is called a throne because the man sitting in the pilot seat has power over life and death;
    12. Technology now is advanced so that there are communication lines that form across between the 4 helicopters. There is a great Northrop Grumman video online showing this incredible helmet/ aircraft technology.

    @John,
    To become born again, you must accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, and believe that God raised him from the dead. Which means you confess or profess that Jesus becomes the lord of your life. You will obey him and follow him; you surrender your life to him that he may govern and mold it as pleases to him ( Romans 10:9,10).
    That you can do by yourself, but it is best you are ministered, because that will give you and additional gear to make your travel in Christ Jesus more efficient. So best you approach a church in your vicinity, and get helped by them.
    God bless you.

    Vehicles and One has a throne on it. God came to ordain Ezekiel, talk with him. You will find these flags on the side of these ships in Numbers 2 I think where the tribes set up camp and the 4 sides of the Isarelites are protected. The cherubim guards are with the throne always since the katabole where lucifer the dragon who is satan that old serpent tried to steal it.

    1:10 A man - Each face is compared to what is most excellent in its kind, man excels in wisdom, man represent the anointing of Humanity: human to be used by God they must willing to be humble and excel in humanity and show kindness at all time, lions in strength and a commanding voice: the devil needs to know who's boss, the ox in patience and constancy of labor: As called by God we should be willing to get down and get our hands dirty, we should be willing to labor, the eagle in speed and high flight.
  • Norman on Ezekiel 1 - 12 years ago
    it clearly states about a vision of our lord GOD in a whirlwind and in a wheel within a wheel.In the natural realm a wheel has to be perfectly balanced and in harmony to the machine its moving.In the spiritual realm we need to sure of our walk in faith.A "wheel"if out of balance needs to be corrected and harmonized back to perfection,it can't go on in a broken function like that. I would say same applies to us christians,our LORD KNOWS us .
  • Paul on Ezekiel 1 - 12 years ago
    I believe this is a picture of Christ fullness, from the throne down to the wheels here on earth. Which is his church. There is great power in our savoir. The four faces are Matt, Mark, Luke and John. Each showing a different view of Christ.Matthew the lion, Mark the calf,Luke the man.John the eagle.The four beast in Rev are the same. Notice how the four beast are full of eye's within. The four gospels are the teachings of Christ to help us see ourselves.
  • James on Ezekiel 1 - 12 years ago
    I think my God would not need a craft with wheels and rims to get around and that this text more than any other helps to show that aliens visited the Earth and though they were highly intellectual they were not Gods but mistaken because of man's misunderstanding of technology. Flames and lightning coming out of the bottom and the appearance of a cloud with an amber color to it. Sounds very much like a rocket ship landing to me.
  • Enoch Mwesigye on Ezekiel 1 - 12 years ago
    i think the four faces are about Jesus, but He graciously avails these attributes to Christians for their victorious living and execution of their God-given assignments while on this side of eternity. Glory to HIS name.

    Ezekiel 1 and Rev. 4 dovetail toghether, in showing forth the glory of God and His throne and kingdom. Ezk.vs 5- four living creatures, they had the likeness of a man. With each having 4 faces, man,lion,ox,and eagle. Note Rev.4 same picture vs7- lion,calf,man,and eagle.(ox in heb. means cow or bull and calf speaks of young cow or bull-- same/same; Ezek accents kind and John accents the youth of same kind) These are the four living creatures before the throne of Father God, in heaven Rev 4&5. Ezekiel fell on his face and in Rev.5 when Jesus takes the book out of the hand of Father God everyone falls on their face including these 4 holy living creatures.
    This picture is awsome! How great is our God! I beleive after we fall before Him -He stands us up! Stand on your feet Ezk 2:1 And God will speak to us. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice! His Word speaks to us the 4 faces speak to us. 1. face man; mankind created in the image and likeness of God.(see Gen1;26) Jesus refered to himself most as the son of man! 2.ox or calf denotes the sacrificial blood that flowed from calvary. Lion denotes the power of God. Only Jesus could take the book and open it. He said all power in heaven and earth is given unto me.( Mt 28;18) Rev.5:5 the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David , hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. 4. Eagle; Speaks of the assending power of God! Eph.4:10 - He that desended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
    The sum is this; its all about Jesus!! The face of a man represents His humanity (And being found in fashion as a man!! Phil.2;8 2. ox or calf speaks His sacrifice for us. 3. lion speaks of His eternal power!! and 4. eagle; speaks of our assending with him into all heavenly places!!
    And we are told to stand up for Him. agape-reggie---

  • Greg on Ezekiel 1 - 12 years ago
    It is interesting to see that in this chapter the creatures that are on the four "men." Each symbolizing different aspects in their own right.
    I have found that many people try to use this chapter to say that there are "aliens" in the Bible.
    However, this is not the case. The description here is so tremendous that we can hardly fathom what Ezekiel saw; there have been attempts in the past to try and draw this picture with good effort but I doubt that we can full see the vision as Ezekiel did.
  • Jackie snead on Ezekiel 1 - 13 years ago
    I first Thank God who is the head of my life. I believe no man is perfect on this earth. God is Perfect in every way shape or form. I know that Ezekiel was a just man he did what God told him to do,even though he had to go to jail and his life was threadened. He was a messanger for God. God uses us in the same way as Ezekiel today so were in same battle. So we have to read the word to bring more people to hear the good word of the Lord.
