Dear "Joeyoung", I believe in that! The Word of God is alive. Start dear in the NT and Lord Jesus You give "Joeyoung" who asks You for wisdom and the Spirit of truth. Thank you Lord for planting the word in the heart of this man Lord, all for Your cause and Your glory, Lord Jesus Christ hear our cry, Amen.

Acts 18 and John 7:17 and 1 John2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Stay blessed and dont give up He hear u, Love u in Jesus Christ

There are still evil people doing this today putting more ,and more work on the working class while they collect big bonuses for cutting jobs. They get rich while the workers get more work pilled on to them.It is why we need God in our lives to treat others fairly as well as ourselves.Love other's Love yourself.Love yourself,Love other's.Life is a balance God is needed to keep that balance in everyones life.To stabilze, strengthen, motivate, guide, corrrect, feed spiritually, mentally, lovingly.

Chapter 5 is fairly short and to the point. Moses and Aaron get an audience with Pharaoh. They request a three day release of the Israelites to go out into the wilderness and worship the God of the Israelites. Pharaoh says that He does not know this god at all. He refuses Moses and Aaron's request. They leave from the Pharaoh. Pharaoh instructs the taskmasters over the Israelites to not supply straw as before for brickmaking with mud. So the Israelites had to scavenge for straw/stubble and still needed to meet their daily quota of bricks. Moses and Aaron meet the Israelites on their way back from the Pharaoh. The officers (leaders) of the Israelites went to Pharaoh asking him why he had made their work harder. Pharaoh says that they are idle and need to work harder and not concern themselves with serving their God. The Israelite leaders meet Moses and Aaron and inform them that their has been made so much more difficult as a result of the request made to Pharaoh The leaders wonder why God would allow this and not deliver them the first time Moses and Aaron petitioned Pharaoh for their release.

I think the interesting thing to me was that Moses and Aaron did not do anything miraculous at this meeting. Instead they warned Pharaoh that God had met with them and sent them to him. They ask Pharaoh again to let the people go three days journey into the wilderness to serve God and if not, God would bring pestilence and the sword upon them.

It is obvious that Pharaoh had no respect for the true God. He probably thought all of the gods of Egypt could defeat Him, so he thought God was insignificant compared to the greatness of Egypt backed by all of those idols. So, he was prideful and smug. And God knew this about Pharaoh and hardened his heart further.

Imagine what great courage it took for Moses and Aaron to appear before Pharaoh and deliver God's message. Jehovah God can give us the courage we need to accomplish his purpose.

Stanjett, straw mixed with the clay to make bricks adds strength to the brick. Example steel wire iron rods make concrete strong for building. Same principle.

Because straw holds the mud together against the rain, floods, and hail.

Why did they need straw to make bricks?

Verse 1~Jehovah God gave Moses and Aaron boldness to go and speak to Pharoah to give the message to send his people away.

"And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all." "The mills of God grind slow but exceedingly fine." We have to learn how to wait for God's purposes to come to full fruition.

Verse 2: Pharaoh had such disrespect for Jehovah God. God was listening to this haughty and disrespectful attitude and he made sure that Pharaoh acknowledged and knew who he was by the end of the 10 plagues.

"But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that hears the word, and anon with joy receives it; yet hath he not root in himself, but endures for a while: for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, by and by he is offended." Mt. 13:20-21 Easily scandalized and thin-skinned; a questioning and doubting mind; naivete and stupidity concerning spiritual reality!

In doing something good in the eyes of God, the will be difficulties and rebukes from people all around you(verse 21) but why fear man who can only hurt the flesh and not obey God who can hurt both the flesh and the soul. Remember, nothing done for God is ever in vain. So don't be like Moses who feared the task he was given but rather like Christ say, "not mine but Thy will be done" mark:14:39

This is a wakeup call for us today. We must keep the words of God in your heart, that when we are going through hardship we do not get panic, but trust in the Lord , do our part and he will do the rest. The Lord have all the answer. Let us keep on praying trusting in God.

A nice and interesting scripture, very touching and I pray that anybody that has been captured will be freed in Jesus name. The saints should say Amen.

We need the courage of Moses and Aaron to answer the call of God that we should not mind they faces or they terror as we lead the people of God

Even though God had previously warned Moses that He would hardened Pharaoh s heart Moses still panic when Pharaoh would not release the Israelite This reminds me of life when we come up against some situations we completely forget the Word of God and start worrying

    @James,
Of course at the first sight, one will think of savour to be a miswriting of Savior, which in fact is not.
What I would advise is that you click on the verse, and it will open only verse 21 in a new page, putting it in red, then you scroll down the page. There you will find the same verse (21) as translated by other versions.
Youll find that savour simply means ourselves, our self-esteem, you may check that word in a dictionary.
    God bless you.
  • James on Exodus 5 - 11 years ago
In Exodus 5:21 the word Savour is used, my bible encyclopedia does not show that word at all. King James version Should read Saviour, just wondering if this a misprint, or someone trying to mess with the King James version as so many are trying to change GOD's word.

23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

I love this verse (as do I so many) because it shows how we as people are always looking for a quick fix.

Moses, as you and I , was placing a clock on GOD. LOL
