I think it was the grace of the lord that open his spiritual eyes to see the bush burning but nt comsuming so that moses wil encounter God in his life n breakfored
  • Joyce bhushana on Exodus 3 - 10 years ago
In this chapter moses encounters with The Lord. Lord convinces moses in many ways, when moses says he can't speak, lord compromises and sends Aaron with moses, thus he completes. In this chapter I find lord convincing, compromising and completing this responsiblity towards isreal. It happens with us too. Thank you

Exodus 3:14 - Answer the fundamental question of Deity. I am That I am simply means He The Mosh High God Who was in the beginning Elohim, Yahweh, Jehovah and then Jesus Christ (or Emmanuel) is now The Holy Spirit period.
  • Timothy Wayne George on Exodus 3:14 - 11 years ago
Praise Jehovah God, the self existent one, and when Moses ask whom shall I say sent me, tell them that the I Am have sent thee. The Hebrew name for Jehovah is Yahweh. God who is from everlasting to everlasting, and never dependent on anyone. Therefore we are secure in Him, and can be sure that He will never change, and is the same today, and forevermore.

The set time of God to deliver the children of Isreal. The perfect planner, awesome, signs and wonders performer GOD.
  • Neybeth on Exodus 3:15 - 11 years ago
the name of God should be revealed. LORD/GOD is just a title not a name.
  • Thabile on Exodus 3:14 - 11 years ago
I love this chapter, because we are so intricately entwined with God and in His image that, He allows us to describe ourselves and circumstances in the same manner. I am strong Joel 3:10, I am wonderfully and fearfully made, Ps139:14. Using I am to describe yourself with a negative connotation is using the Lord's name in vain! So one cannot say I am broke because that's not what/who God is! Describe yourself positively regardless of situations or feelings.

If God is with us who can be against us. Lets seek first the Kingdom of God and ALL these things shall be added unto us. Thanks.

Anybody who is fighting the children of God should be careful because God will not think twice when dealing with him/her. He will give time to change as he did to the Egyptians but the authorities refused. They saw the mighty hand of God when the time came. He said he would be with Moses and he did that, praise be to his name. Relax, God will fight your battle for you.
  • Mas on Exodus 3 - 11 years ago
    @Oz,
After 400 years of hard labour of exploitation, God is giving way for the children of Israel to get out of Egypt.
And it is quite understandable that He instructs His people to collect some of the ownership which they hardly and harshly worked for and strip the Egyptians.
There was no room for negotiation to that end, so God just instructed them to softly go about it.
Thats Gods justice, because their righteousness is of God saith the Lord, Isaiah 54:17.
God was and is able to multiply it back to the Egyptians, or to anyone else, through His grace and mercy.

I was puzzled this morning by reading what God told Moses, among other things: "But every woman shall ask of her neighbor and the woman who lives in her house, articles of silver and articles of gold. First I don't know if I should care about it, but I want to ask, why God will have his people asking for gold and silver, if the place where God has taking them was to the desert. Kindly reply. God bless you!

The Creator's name should be correctly as Yahweh, coming from the four hebrew letters יהשה,

Isaiah 10:6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take spoil, & to take prey, & to tread them down like the mire of the streets. God is giving Assyria permission to take a spoil from Judah, because of their sins of being godless. Assyria is allowed to steal, plunder, and loot.

If I misinterpreted a verse explain to me that I have, but please don't call me a liar, I make mistakes myself.
  • Clint on Exodus 3 - 11 years ago
    @Naked truth,
It sounds like you do not speak the Truth! You are telling lies. Rightly divide THE WORD or be quiet because God will take away your part from the book of life!
  • Lorral Weaver on Exodus 3 - 11 years ago
Was commanding them to lie, steal or deceive? I don't believe that the angel of the Lord, or God was commanding them to lie, deceive, or steal. When we do evil in the sight of God, He doesn't tell of a specific thing that He will do, before He does it, it's just done. They weren't stealing anything that they didn't work for, or die for centuries to earn, He's not saying they would steal it, He said that it would be borrowed from the Egyptians, and yes to take valuables, or plunder means to take what they have earned.

Many people are being so distracted with false teachers/television/radio - and not actually studying GOD'S WORD. THEIR relationship with GOD is steadily being polluted, until their will be no relationship. You look at T.V. and see the EPIC MOVIES - As the movies go along you shouild know what GOD says happens next. "THE TEN COMMANDMENTS" starring CHARLESTON HESTON. Has so many flause that people feel if they watch T.V. they don't have to study. TWO QUICK FLAUSE: the time they departed and pharaoh returning.

What I am saying is what GOD SAYS: "a LITTLE LEVEN, LEVENTH THE WHOLE LUMP.

PEOPLE will be quick to say MOSES spoke to GOD at the burning bush.

2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush [was] not consumed.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt

Some people believe that the angel URIEL (meaning fire) spoke from the bush.

HEBREW: 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
  • NakedTruth on Exodus 3 - 13 years ago
In Exodus III 18-22 We see a direct command from the Lord, or whatever name you wish to address him with,to deceive, lie, and steal. This was carried out to the letter. How then, can we say this is God's will to do these things?
  • Alberto on Exodus 3 - 13 years ago
Jehovah was used in the old testament because the name GOD could no be said at the time so they used the name Jahovah. that changed with the new testament.

Yahweh: a name for the God of the Old Testament as transliterated from the Hebrew consonants YHVH
Godhead: terms referring to the Judeo-Christian God
  • Kalex on Exodus 3:15 - 14 years ago
Lord is not a name, God is not a name, Jehovah is the Name.

  • Adonai Tesfaledet on Exodus 3:15 - 14 years ago
