    It doesn't matter at all what we think should be done in living for God; what His word says is all that matters. The O.T. was a 'teacher', 'shadow' to bring us to Christ of the N.T. JESUS fulfilled all the ceremonial laws; it's all in Him now. The O.T. MORAL laws still stand, i.e. the ten commandments, Deut. 22:5 - anything in the O.T. that was an 'abomination' - still stands.

    Ahasuerus sounds like the name one would name a sneeze instead of the name of a king, yet Esther went before him like a trooper and her courage saved a very selective, and set aside group of people, who were and are chosen by God, The Jewish people. When Jesus walked on this earth, he was Jewish, born to a Jewish mother.

    There is a beauty that is beyond the senses, Esther appeared to have both-------she probably had beauty from within. She was an orphan herself, and she had probably been teased by some members of her community for being reared by a relative instead of her birth parents whom she had never really known. Her courage to go before the King is to be noted, because she had to endure one year of beauty treatments before she could do so. She came along in a point of time to save her people, a special group of people through which all the nations of the world would be blessed.

    I woke last night with the words in my head Esther2.1 . I got out of bed and read it and further. I feel this is certainly a message from God for me . But not sure what the message is. Still thrilled to have a scripture.

    The name of God is not mentioned in the book of Esther. However, His providential hand can be seen throughout it.

    @Burgermouth,
    Telepathy is the claimed innate ability of humans and other creatures to communicate information from one mind to another, without the use of extra tools such as speech or body language. (Definition form internet). Though it is not really proved, telepathy is believed to be a transfer of information (feelings) between 2 individuals; both imperfect.
    Yet prayer is communication between man and his creator. That communication is precise and concise, as it focuses on main needs.
    And the Bible clearly states that prayer is at a certain level is inspired by God himself through the holy spirit that helps us to formulate (even) what mankind is not able to tell by itself. As it says in Romans 8:
    26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
    27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
    The perfection that this communication between Man and God comes with is far beyond so called telepathy, and is just matchless. Because the spirit of God tells us what to pray for and how to best utter (say) it.
    God bless you.

    Esther was blessed because of her obedience. Sometimes when we miss out it's because of our own disobedience. She was also humble, she didn't take credit but made sure that Mordecai was recognized.

    Esther has proven and given hope to me that anything is possible with God, no matter who you are, your nationality.. If you desire something with all your heart it will come to pass.. No matter how impossible it might seem.. It will be done unto you. I have decided not to look down on myself but to keep my focus..!

    Esther's situation confirms God's plans for us as in Jeremiah 29:11. And for sure, there is no situation that cannot change for He raises us from dust to sit with kings!

    Mordecai was a shining a example for us all. He treated the young girl like his own. He did not take undue advantage of the situation to abuse or molest her.

    God bless the Mordecai of our time. Amen
