Wesley's Notes for Esther 2:3

2:3 Keeper - Of all the women, both virgins and concubines: only the virgins he himself took care of, as requiring more care and caution, and the concubines be committed to Shaashgaz, ver.#14|, his deputy. Purification - That is, to cleanse them from all impurities, to perfume, and adorn, and every way prepare them for the king: for the legal purification of the Jews he never regarded.

Queen; That is a nice thought in some way, but not really true in every case. When God sees a degree of integrity still in men's hearts, then He does indeed keep them from sinning against Him; and the case with Esther was like that with Ahashverosh the king, who we will find to be a really good man. And so for us who wish to please the Lord and be useful to Him, the Light in us convicts people.

ESTHER WAS A WOMAN WHO CARRIED GOD'S OWN GRACE AND SUPPERNATURAL FAVOUR AND SO OBTAINED IT IN THE SIGHT OF THE KING IMMEDIATELY SHE WAS PREPARED AND SENT BEFORE HIM. AND SO I HAVE LEARNT THAT IF GOD BLESSES YOU NO MAN CAN REJECT YOU. AMEN

Young Woman should be purified before she goes before her King. They need to learn about the love of Jesus, her body as the temple of God and proper submission to God and Man before marriage.

It doesn't matter at all what we think should be done in living for God; what His word says is all that matters. The O.T. was a 'teacher', 'shadow' to bring us to Christ of the N.T. JESUS fulfilled all the ceremonial laws; it's all in Him now. The O.T. MORAL laws still stand, i.e. the ten commandments, Deut. 22:5 - anything in the O.T. that was an 'abomination' - still stands.

Before any woman goes before her king she should be purified. I think young virgins today should be put through at least 1 yr. of purification before marriage: mind, body, soul, and spirit. A time to study about the love of Jesus, her body as the temple of God, having the mind of Christ, and proper submission to GOD and man. Many young women today have no guidance or wise counsel. Be blessed.
