    Mae,

That is my understanding from the account of Moses' death and burial in Deuteronomy 34:1-7 It says God buried Moses in the valley in the land of Moab, perhaps below Mt. Nebo where he last spoke with God.

These more than helped a lot. Thank you.

These are scary to envisage though... yet must be true because God does not lie.

The Book of Revelation, I think I should finish reading this one ahead.

    David Brother,

Is it true that Our Heavenly Father buried Moses secretly?
  • Mae - In Reply on Ephesians 5:26 - 1 year ago
Gianni, Amen ! This is really wonderful. Thank you because it reminds me, it is true that 1000 years for us is only 1 day for God.

Amen , how beautiful it is to think that God wants everyone to be saved.

    Richard S. Friday,

Thank you Richard. I got it. Yes Jesus obedience was really overwhelming , amazing... I couldn't convey with my own words. We Christians must indeed overcome fear. Practice strengthening faith. I always mention the Holy Spirit of God and Jesus when praying to the Father. Really trying my best sometimes to understand the SCRIPTURES.
  • Mae - In Reply on Ephesians 5:26 - 1 year ago
Thank you David. It indeed will really take a long while. What is really needed is for us to have the faith like the mustard seed. I am thinking of how hard it is to get a passing score to be with Jesus in eternity , a believer should endure all the tests and persecution! and most of all is to love even your enemy.

Thank you Doug. My big brother's name is Douglas.

I do believe your answer is true. I have read some scriptures sparingly . One of those were Jesus words saying " in my Father's house are many mansions , if it weren't so I would have told you , I got to prepare a place for you ... " This sounds so comforting and your answer to my question really adds up so beautifully. I think I need to read the Bible from beginning up to end.

God bless you Doug , and everyone here !

Because he wants as many as possible saved.

This is a mystery at least while Christ was here in the flesh before the Resurrection ( Matt. 24:36). According to 2 Thess. 2:6 the restrainer is removed; then the man of sin can be revealed; hence all the events of the Tribulation commences at that point. This would signify as I can see the Holy Spirit in the way it manifests during the Church Age; also showing how the Holy Ghost is in some ways dependent in its actions to the Father. The Spirit is said to indicate; as John 16:8-11 sin; righteousness and judgment to come; and seals every believer until the Day of Redemption ( Eph. 4:30).

The offices of the Godhead somehow operate in this manner; despite each member being God. The best way I can see this is that God the Father is not able ever to be in the presence of sin without judgment coming from Him directly. There had to be some separation therefore or when Christ died at the cross the whole universe would have ceased to exist the moment He was estranged for that instant from the Father. It would seem the Holy Spirit; since it came from Christ directly at Pentecost has always been the way the Omnipresent Godhead can be within His chosen vessels. Truly; there was always that presence in Old Testament times; as it will be in some ways in the future Tribulation and beyond but the ministry changes. The results of that can be seen contrasting the promises of Matthew 16:18 and the statements of the saints being overcome in Daniel 7:15 etal.

I am stating all this so that verse about the Son of Man not knowing the Day and hour of His return can be better understood.

Christ learning obedience in a self depreciating manner ( Heb. 5:8) while He took on the form of man with all the limitations so He could be our substitute in life and death in every way; being tempted as we are but without sin ( Heb. 4:15) is also unfathomable in our minds. Nonetheless; Christ alerted to us that He comes a day we don't expect. We should be aware of signs; not overcome by fear

    2 PETER 3:8-9

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

"Nourish and cherish" doesn't mean "coddle and pleasure". Just as we must sometimes discipline and deny ourselves for our own good, sometimes we must do the same for our spouses. A lot of people these days seem to think that love is all about happiness. It's not. When happiness comes at the cost of unity, health, good morals, etc., then happiness becomes a disease.

All things (being waves or winds or quakes or plagues) are the fulfilling of GOD'S law and prophecy. Christ is not come to destroy the law or the prophets: but to fulfill the Holy Father's will. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. GOD saves every soul of all flesh by the coming and resurrection of Jesus Christ, according to his promise in the Gospel. Remember, They which are the children of the flesh, these ARE not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed (according to the Holy Scriptures.) The Fear of THE LORD is to hate evil and pride is evil. Carnal man is without the Spirit of Christ, being merely human (by its own interpretation) and subject to the wrath of GOD. It is the son of perdition, having many members. So tribulation in the world can only increase lest any cleave to pride and die in their sins. For GOD is faithful to the faithful but IS angry with the wicked every day. GOD is merciful to the merciful, but froward to the froward. For the Church in Christ also has many members, none being carnal man. This present evil world is hell: and is subject to the lake of fire upon the redemption of the eight remaining souls. Mankind deceived itself by imagining it can prolong it's evasion of much punishment, and it's damnation, as it did not see, nor believe, the salvation of many (for it walks by sight, not by faith in Christ.) For the salvation of all flesh is the Gospel of the Lord Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. He shall say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels (mankind and it's ministers.) So it is written: Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish FROM the way, when his wrath is kind but a little. Blessed ARE all they that put their trust in him.

    Todd,

Addition to or slander of God's word has happened since Eden. We only hear from Eve, that Adam and she were not to "touch" the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And Satan suggested that God lied about them dying. I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit moved men to want to canonize(regard as being above reproach or of great significance) the so-called writings of God. God has done the work of preserving a faithful document of his-story, in the KJV. Much in the same way believers are to judge, who is and who is not a prophet of God. Even today, newer translations approach the task with predetermined bias and subtleness of changes, so as to slight the truth of God, not all, but some.

I am truly thankful the most faithful modern day rendition of God's word is in my native language, despite the archaic form, which I myself enjoy exploring for a deepening of my language knowledge.

When a person is saved of God, the Holy Spirit indewells them and leads them towards truth. God is always able to communicate with his children, and only his children look for him.

Have you read the Book of Enoch? If so, have you not noticed some major errors within? I cite a few examples:

7:2: "the human women became pregnant & bare great giants whose height was 3000 ells". Even going by the smaller measurement of 18 inches, this makes the giants 4,500 ft tall.

19:2: "the women from the angels who went astray shall become sirens". What was a siren? A mythological creature that was half bird & half human.

10:8: "the whole earth has been corrupted through the works taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin". But sin came through Adam, & Azazel who is also referred to as Satan, according to 10:4-6, has been chained up until judgement day. The Bible says different that he is free to roam awaiting that final day of judgement & forever in the Lake of Fire.

10:20,21: Prior to the Flood, God told Michael the Archangel to "Cleanse the Earth from all godlessness...and all the children of men shall become righteous...and all the Earth shall be cleansed from defilement, from all sin, from all punishment...". Is an angel now the source of our salvation?

And the list of gross errors are still many. Even considering the authorship of the Book is questionable as is the date of writing. Do you really feel that such a book is worthy of study & inclusion alongside God's Word? Those who canonized the Scriptures we now have, have done well to apply the most stringent scrutiny to the books that comprise the Bible, ensuring that we have the most faithful & reliable Scriptures in our hands. If any serious study is conducted to any of these extra-biblical writings, one can see how far they have detoured from Truth even with the evidence of Truth within their pages. If such gross errors are found in isolation, what must be the condition of the whole.

Verse 25 , 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the word , verse 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church not having spot , or wrinkle or any such thing ; but that it should be holy and with out blemish.

The word of God cleans and in so many ways . I just love this verse 27 . With all the sin in the world and around us Jesus will present the Church as a glorious church !

He will build his church no matter what the evil is going on .

The word of God , stay in it and let it cleanse you from all evil !

    Ephesians 4:2 - With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

    Colossians 3:12 - Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

    1 Thessalonians 4:11 - And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Titus 3:2 - To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.

Psalms 25:9 - The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Isaiah 57:15 - For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

1 Timothy 6:11 - But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

    2 Timothy 2:25 - In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;

James 1:21 - Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Ephesians 5:4 - Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Let us pray for this nation often. We don't always think of how blessed we are compared to Christians suffering in Countries that hate them; and kill them, for believing in Jesus.

God help us to protect what we have, with strong prayer. To not turn blind eyes away from those who are not free; who suffer peril and hunger every day. Amen.

This is what I know. God is a spirit and a consuming fire. Jesus is fully God and fully man. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ

    The Holy Spirit is invisible.

    King James Bible

    Hebrews 12:29

For our God is a consuming fire.

    Deuteronomy 4:24

For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

    John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

    John 15:26

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. Three persons: all are one God.

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    Isaiah 6:8

    Romans 1:20

    Colossians 2:9

    Acts 17:27-30

    1 John 5:7

    John 10:30

Maybe you'd like to add a KJV Bible to your bookcase?

    Blessings, Mishael

Jesus called himself The Son of Man.

    Acts 7:56

And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

    Hebrews 2:6

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

    Revelation 1:13

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

    Revelation 14:14

And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

This is the Son of Man! How can we with our unclean lips, speak His name without bowing the knee?

It blows my brain how people do not reverence Him. Debate him. Chip away at his Deity. He is who HE said he is.

At least Isaiah 6:1-8. We see a PROPER response to the Lord of Glory.

Also, I spotted another LET US scripture in Isaiah 6:8.

I Corinthians 6 : 9 tells us that as Christians(children of God) our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit, and that the Holy Spirit actually dwells within each of us.

When the Holy Spirit indwells a Christian this way, He manifests certain attributes which Apostle Paul calls "fruits of the Spirit" in Galatians 5 : 22. Just as a tree yields its fruits so the Holy Spirit yields those listed fruits in any Christian He indwells.

Now, as a Christian businessman filled with the Holy Spirit for example, someone comes to you with a business proposal that is actually a scam.

Because it is a scam it is lacking in goodness, in righteousness and in truth, it is not "acceptable unto the Lord".

Consequently the Christian businessman will not have an inner peace thinking about this proposal. There will be this strong sense of uneasiness and he will know there is something seriously wrong with the proposed business.

    This is what I think Ephesians 5 : 9 - 10 is talking about.
