  • Ronald Friesen on Ephesians 4:11 - 9 years ago
I believe that we are all called to be evangelist even without the special gifting or title "you are my witnesses " and if we are a witness to Christ love and his Salvation for us we are to share this good news with others all not just the two or 10 that might engage in conversation and seeking to lead people to Christ. Too many people excuse themselves to say they don 't have the gift but we all have the calling from the Lord to share the good news

The way Jesus forgave is before I ever did anything. With Holy Spirit help I can do the same thing. I cannot do it on my own . It is Quite the Blessing to forgive as I have been forgiven.

I 've read the entire Chapter 4 I come from Lying to my spouse and fornication elsewhere when I read the entire chapter I realise how much I destroyed God 's grace and trust. I think of how we are under Grace and not the law because God saw it fit for us to have our sins forgiven. To forgive those whom I clearly have hatred and ill feelings towards for how they have built their relationship with me. Then I think of the disciples asking Jesus how are we to forgive 70 times 7 and I lack this to. How can I be called God 's child still and be forgiven. I 've been wrestling in prayer asking God to forgive me every second for what I have done. I 'm reminded of my mistakes everyday being separated by the 1 person who matters yet I destroyed the very next chapter to this. "God help me find your clemency so that I can turn my life around. "

  • Jason on Ephesians 4:11 - 9 years ago
I think that 4 9, and 10, are also intrinsically related to this verse as well, as it states that, "What is it, but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth,? " Then verse 10 goes on to say, "He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. " This seems to indicate that he went to the deepest place to save, and then to the highest to give praise unto God, for his great and awesome mercy and kindness in doing so. He gave these ministries to demonstrate just that as well, regarding those called to those ministries, as well as those to whom they will serve.

  • Prophet-Leonard Barrett on Ephesians 4:11 - 9 years ago
I like this but you cannot remove a part of the foundation and except it to stand, JESUS the chief corner stone.will not please.Do you know what is a foundation if you know you will never try to removed it. Why do you think that JESUS be the chief corner stone? You must go my corner stone to step on the foundation and no one can. Matthew chapter 16 verses 18. I like this Ephesians 2 20. I like this Ben Weaver ' comment.
  • Chidinma Eziyi on Ephesians 4 - 9 years ago
This scripture is just blessing my heart and revealing to me that all God 's children should be one body and dwell in one spirit who is God.The will of God for our way of living should be follwed in respective of what is going on in this world. We must follow the life stlye mentioned above to live in this world as children who 's light of God shines in their souls, those expectations have to be met as is the only way we can shine as God 's children.A change of character is expected fruit of the holy spirit meekness, kindness, forgiveness and forbearing one another also not letting anger control our hearts till the sun goes down being vibes and an open to the enemy to attack our lives and keeping the unity in the spirit this is our lives style as we are not of this world and must keep things in.place to succeed here.
  • Cory R Leet on Ephesians 4 - 9 years ago
This chapter clearly illustrates the unity of God. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. My interpretation of these verses are as literal as it gets. One body the body of Christ One Spirit the catholic Church says there 's 2 One Lord Jesus Christ One faith Christianity One baptism full submersion with sincere repentance gets you the Holy Ghost One God and Father of all Jesus Christ Here 's where the bible says Jesus is God! Isaiah 9 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Titus 2 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ 2 Peter 1 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

  • Peter Andrew on Ephesians 4 - 10 years ago
the kingdom of heaven has its prescribed order on earth, and there is order and hierarchy in Priesthood, these are, firstly the Apostles and Prophets, that can only be raised by God, and secondarily are the Pastors, Evangelists, Deacons and Elders, which can only be raised by Apostles or Prophets, anything that is not in this order is false!
  • Ron on Ephesians 4:5 - 10 years ago
One Faith One Baptism one in the Spirit If you are a born again Christian you are Baptized into the family of God through the holy spirit water baptism doesn t wash away your sin only the blood of Christ can do that Getting baptized is the first commandment of obedience once you are saved in itself it cannot save you many faiths but only one way that being through the shed blood of Christ catechism or any other ism cannot save you going to church cannot save you only Christ has that power and once saved we are adopted into the family of God

  • Theresa on Ephesians 4:11 - 10 years ago
I believe the Apostles were called of God for the establishment of the church The church began with Peter and the disciples After the church was established there was no need for the title of Apostle God s church has been established the churches now are just building made by hand to give us a place to worship But God has told us that he does not dwell in temples made by hand We as Christian became the church The prophet proclaimed God s word for the future
  • Sedakta on Ephesians 4 - 10 years ago
The Apostle is clear making the believer understand that this is a new life dat requires changes the believer can no longer live as he or she pleases but in tandem with God s requirements Salvation demands an active role in the way we treat and deal with others n also de lifestyle U live underscores if really are a believer
  • Christian on Ephesians 4:26 - 10 years ago
I always thought that this verse means to be angry towards sin and sin not If you hate the sin are you likely to continue in it I also thought that not letting the sun go down upon your wrath meant to not be wavering accepting or yielding toward sin but always having wrath toward it hating sin and not yielding to it Like don t stop having wrath toward sin night and day and that being like a fuel to keep you loving your neighbour and hating the sins that cause them to stumble Does anyone agree with that view or does anyone feel I ve misunderstood the meaning
  • Karla A. Faith on Ephesians 4:26 - 10 years ago
This is a great verse for giving clear instruction for Biblical Conflict Resolution. As the offended person, you have not sinned by being angry, but how you handle this anger is important. As Christians, we are not to seek revenge as a way to get back at someone who has hurt us, but neither are we to hold a grudge indefinitely or harbor resentment in a passive/aggressive way in order to "punish" by withholding our friendship. By reconciling within a 24 hour timeframe we obey this foundational principal and we avoid the physical ailments that come with harboring resentment for long periods of time. The old addage, "Time heals all wounds" is not true. If someone has offended or hurt you, go to the offender before the sun sets so you do not harbor resentment or ill-will, thereby, causing yourself to sin. If he/she will hear you and be reconciled, then you have put your friendship back on track.
  • Bro Jeff on Ephesians 4:16 - 10 years ago
I think it show's the diversity of the body being brought together by Christ in unity. That we all gain strength by and through each other and we grow according.
  • BSP on Ephesians 4:32 - 10 years ago
When we sit and think about how God freely forgave our sins by means of the sacrifice of his son Jesus, it helps us to be able to forgive others. This is what is pleasing to God.
  • Anthony on Ephesians 4:13 - 10 years ago
The Lord Jesus Christ prayed in John 17 that his disciples would be one even as He and the Father are One. When I see anyone who loves Jesus Christ, I will treat him/her as a brother/sister in Christ. By this shall all men know you are my disciples if you have love one to another, He said. Tragically, even among those of like minded theology have divisions among them, and the Apostle Paul said such divisions are the result of carnality within the church. Those who want the pre-eminence lord it over those who either wish to remain nuetral, or those with whom they disagree. If we read the 17th chapter of John, we can't ignore our Savior's impassioned plea for the Father to give us certain advantages that stem from His love. Life is too short, Jesus Christ will judge everyone, and He only left one commission for the body of believers, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel, making disciples, commanding them to observe what I have commanded you: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.
  • B on Ephesians 4 - 10 years ago
If we do get angry with our brother or sister we should forgive as our father has forgiven us which is in heaven.
  • David on Ephesians 4:26 - 10 years ago
Blessings my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Such a powerful sentence, yet direct and to the point; here is my understanding to what Paul is telling the Ephesians and to everyone that reads. Be ye angry is not alone in context here, and is not referring to the demonstration of anger towards others. Paul says, Be ye angry, and sin not, a single phrase referring that the individual being their own worst critic, because we are all sinners.
Second part: let not the sun go down upon your wrath refers to; as we realize we have sinned and are angry at our lack of self control, we need to ask God for forgiveness and be at peace with it. let not the sun go down upon your wrath It is important the moment we realize we have sinned that we ask God for forgiveness and not put it off for another time.
  • BSP on Ephesians 4:26 - 10 years ago
This scripture shows that as humans we will get angry, but how we handle that anger makes a difference of whether we commit a sin. We have to have self-control and not have uncontrolled anger. We should take time to remove ourselves from the situation and take the matter to God in prayer.
