Charles Peek: In light of the fact that Jesus told His Disciples not to go to the Gentiles in Matthew Chapter 10; and then later on sent Paul to the Gentiles; why is Paul's Gospel ( 1st Corinthians 15: verses 3 and 4) not in your plan of Salvation instead of Acts 2;38?

Hi Connie, I just read your story, and had to read it a number of times and can only imagine some of the trauma you must have suffered as a child, what you call blind faith I would call faith, that of a child, by your own admission your love for God is first in your life, and this is what God asks of us. Thank you and God Bless

Matthew 5:3-18 Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."

Matthew 18:2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

Matthew 22:36-39 Master, which [is] the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

    Hi Connie.

No one knows all there is to know of the scripture, we grow as we study his word, and we learn from others, some scripture is clear and should bring us comfort not fear, If your trust in your salvation is " COMPLETELY " in Christ finish work on the cross YOU HAVE NO NEED OF FEAR OF JUDGEMENT he gave us comfort in his word.

Romans 8:1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Here is one for the sabbath and anything else one would think he or she need to add to Christ finish work on the cross.

    Colossians 2:13-15. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

    Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Our faith come from hearing INSPIRED scripture! And we can trust in Christ alone, not our experiences. Thank you.

    Dear Marilyn Taplin,

The group of end-time purists you describe are the 144,000 sealed from death, during the beasts short rule. The house of Israel and the house of Judah are the two witnesses that stand before God. They are the two olive trees and two candlesticks. These elect are hated so much that their dead bodies will lay 3.5 days in the street, then, taken up at the 7th trumpet.

Also, the reason for the "days being cut short" is due to the 6th trumpet, day of the Lord strike: Mystery Babylon & the Babylonian system is dramatically taken in under 1 hour; made a desolate wilderness. The attack is so powerful, it knocks the earth off its axis ( Isaiah 24:20) causing 1/3rd sun light removed. The darkness ensures the elects survival, like the woman in Rev 12 holds on.

Doesn't the Bible say the sexually perverse are prideful? Are you mistaken as to who the prideful ones are?

Rom 1:21Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imagination and their foolish heart was darkened. (speaking of the people of Sodom and Gomorrah). They bring a darkness to earth. They are spiritually blind.

It makes me very sad to read your message ,you are way too aggressive ,this attitude will only make people withdraw from you and not wish to enter into any dialogue with you . Please dont message a sister that way ,you are pushing people away from you . We should be able to discuss and even disagree without judging and condeming each other.

S Spencer my blind faith is to trust God for his guidance in understanding of scriptures and to accept that some things I am unable to understand.

Like my faith is not movable on my set belief that God is unexplainable in my vocabulary.

I can only trust that tug that i feel in my heart and soul.

My Bible is old and worn . I am an adult survivor of child trafficking. I have seen the most unGodly cruelties of mankind upon children that still exists today. I have seen how evil sets itself up in places working for the good guys so to speak.

I am not bitter nor do i blame or judge the many good people for the actions of the few.

I do not know what happens when I die , but i have read that when i die it is to late to seek God. So I seek God while I am alive. I fear my judgment day . I know that I am going to have to answer for my actions.

I am not seeking nor asking for forgiveness of a sin if i can not refrain from the actions that offend God.

So I ask for guidance about not being able to refuse to work on the sabbath day because of the job that I give God thanks to have. Yet man judges me for not being at church.

But the scriptures comfort me because i do set a time to honor God. This is what i call my blind faith. To see the world and hear what is said and just trust God to help me understand.

With or without the approval of man . I fear judgment. I live a life that I can proudly say is moral and kind. I am not without sin. But I trust God to guide me. Understand?

    Marilyn Taplin,

"Are you saying no one will stand in the remnant?"

I see your response as a shallow attempt to turn my words into something you believe you can manage. What you ignore is the pointed statement I made about you being self-righteous. What I've said is like using sign language to a blind person, as well as what was said by S Spencer, SkipVought, Rod and maybe countless others in your lifetime, who have tried to point out to you your errors in understanding the Bible. You appear, sadly, to be in the grip of pride.

Although God and Christ are one in spirit, thought, deed and action, they are two separate Beings. You might say that Christ is a Clone of God. They are exactly the same, yet two different Beings. That's why in John.1:1 the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Notice Hebrews.1:3 Christ is the EXPRESS IMAGE of the Majesty on high.
  • Marilyn Taplin - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 3 years ago
Are you saying no one will stand in the remnant? Then there will be no remnant. Yet we are told there will be a remnant who are not like Sodom and Gomorrah. "Except the Lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and ye should have been like unto Gomorrah." Isa. 1:9.

A remnant is a small portion of the original left at the end. I did not say those who make up the remnant are perfect. I say they are not sexually perverse. No one in that group committed oral or anal sex. If you were to place David in that picture in the last days he would stand with the remnant. David's adultery does not place him in S&G. David did not depart from God to serve Satan. His sin was a sin and not a trespass. He broke one of the Ten Commandments we are familiar with. The other set is called the Law. Whenever the law is used in the singular it is speaking of a trespass. Those who trespass cross over the line. They go too far. They depart from God to serve Satan.

Ps. 119:1, "Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the Law of the Lord.'

Pr. 14:2, "He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is PERVERSE in his ways despiseth him." They are haters of God.

Prov.28:7, "Whosoever keepteth "the law" is a wise son." Of course the opposite of that is; if you disobey you are one of the foolish one. The sexually perverse are said to be foolish.

Jesus gave his life , to make a way for us to rise above sin, to walk in newness of life , without hypocrisy , without Guile, seeking the provision of God... in all things. There must be a death that takes place and that is the death of the old man, this death is spiritual not natural although we know that we must put off this tabernacle ,for it is nothing but dust, and to dust it shall return, we must put off the old wine skin, we must mortify the Deeds of this flesh ,

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:6-10

The truth is that every day, many times a day, we sin. This is why when Jesus was washing the feet of His disciples...

"Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean." John 13:6-11

Peter and the other disciples except Judas were all born again (washed all over) but because in our daily walk we sin and need to confess our sins (wash our feet), thus Jesus replied "He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean"

    Marilyn Taplin,

    " I stand with the remnant. "

Your "stand" is a classic example of self-righteousness. That "stand" is you

willing yourself into departing from evil, thereby living right before God and

self-justified in your actions. Repent of your works based plan and trust God.

The ten commandments condemn everyone, you included. Deciding not to do

one or any of the sins does not negate "all have sinned and fallen short of the

glory of God" Romans 3:23 Salvation is a work through the sinless life of the

only begotten Son of God, dying the death sinners deserve, whereby God is

then Sovereign in his graciousness to impute righteousness to those who

trust they are saved by his grace alone. You have no power to forgive

yourself of your sin. To be minded otherwise is a serious affront to God.

    Hi Connie

May I ask you, What is blind faith? Is it faith that comes from hearing? or is it faith that comes without hearing?
  • Connie - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 3 years ago
Also, your use of the phrase "he wrote his law for her life she would abide..", sounds like you think being good enough saves you.

This makes me very sad. I wrote this to honor God. To share with you how my heart seeks to return to God my works to preserve the testimony of my trials and tribulations i have been presented with from my childhood to my loss of innocence as an adult to be accountable for my life. I am not worthy nor self righteous. I am constantly told that my love for God is not going to save me from my sins. What sin is it to say that God is my guide?

Did Noah not have blind faith to build the ark when he was tasked to it?

I tirelessly and persistently search the written words of the prophets of old and even to this day these words are written by everyone here of their own testimony.

I keep my own journals of how my disobedience did not go unpunished. How my choices are my choices. The doors that I walked through out of my sinful temptations , adultery, drug addiction and so much more are not closed behind me. I can turn back to it if i choose to. But my own works will not save me, nor will you be saved by them..

but I am wise enough to choose God and say that i just don't know any other reason for Jesus to die if not so i can live and love the Heavenly Father as my one true God.

Yes, we are justified by his grace. Grace means kindness, favor, mercy etc. God is good. He will be kind to the unjust people. To be purified is to be made pure. And to be justified is to made just. Jesus comes to teach the unjust to return to being just. He tells us to return to God and God will return to you. He does not tell us we can continue to sin and he will cover for us. The just have wisdom. The unjust are void of wisdom, they are foolish. When the foolish people are justified, made just, they will have wisdom.

    This world need some wisdom.
  • Connie - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 3 years ago
I am a surviving member of yesterday's thrown away children. I was taken , transported, bought, sold, enslaved, beaten, raped, and thrown away like trash to die.

I have endured, overcome, accepted , and witnessed the most unGodly cruelties of mankind upon children. I survived by the will of God and God alone saved me as others fell where I stood.

This is my where my relationship with God began. I do not consider myself perfect and I am responsible for my actions as an adult. When men stand up in name of Christianity and charity ( not all mankind but those who do) and continue to do this very day , it , as a child i witnessed and associated it with the crosses these men wore around their necks.

So tell me if you can why my love for God is so wrong? What scriptures can you give to me and all the children taking my place? Our worlds are so different. There is a great evil in the hearts of men .. so It was God and God alone who saves me. Saves My life.. and my soul belongs to him..

You want to know how I fit in to what I teach.

First believe the Bible when it says, God will conclude the world with no belief in God. And it says only a remnant are not like S&G, which includes all those given to oral and anal sex. A remnant is left at the end, so at the end there will be only a few who are not like S&G. I stand with the remnant.

The remnant are the just and those in S&G are the unjust. The unjust are foolish and have departed from wisdom. They are not wise.

    The just are wise.

Pro. 10:20, "The tongue of the just is as choice silver"

Pro. 10:31, "The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom."

Pro. 4:18, "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the

If we are in the last days only a few people are not like those in S&G. The Christianity of today was made by the foolish people and they tell us no wisdom. Pr. 14:2 "He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the Lord: but he that is PERVERSE in his ways despiseth him." They are haters of God.

Gen. 6:9, "Noah was a just man.

2 Pet 2:7 " And delivered just Lot."

Mk. 6:20, "For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man."

Act 10:22, "And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God." He hated evil.

Zec. 9:9, Jesus is just. "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation" Jesus brings wisdom.

2 Sam. 23:3, "The God of Israel said, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God." The fear of the Lord is to hate evil.

The rulers over our land should be just. The leaders within the church should be just. Do you see just people ruling our land and the Church?

How is a man justified, made right before God?

    Not by self effort:

"Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin." Rom 3:19-20 (KJV)

We are justified by His grace:

"Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:" Rom 3:24 (KJV)

We are justified by faith alone in Christ:

"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Rom 3:28 (KJV)

    Abraham was declared as righteous:

"For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness." Rom 4:3 (KJV)

But clearly, Abraham sinned. He lied on several occasions about his relationship with Sarah to save his hide, for instance.

King David was a man after God's heart. But he was an adulterer and a murderer.

Every day, every Christian sins by commission or omission things we think, say, do, don't say or don't do. But we have an advocate with The Father: Jesus Christ The Righteous One. He is The Only Righteous One.

When we put our trust in Jesus to be our Savior from the penalty of our sin, we are DECLARED RIGHTEOUS, JUSTIFIED. It's an Already But Not Yet thing. We ought to be walking by The Spirit more and more to become more like Him. This process is called Sanctification. One day we will be Glorified: given new bodies and new natures that cannot sin. Until then, we are sinners, saved by grace. Before we believed, we could only sin. As believers we can "will" to sin or to do His good pleasure.

"work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Phil 2:12-13

    Connie,

"I am here to share my simplicity of how God has touched my life. I have

    never been wise."

In your own words, you say God appeared to you when you were a small child and offered you life or death and you chose life, because continuing to play was your motive for choosing life. You describe being slain and restored to life and God writing his law in your heart which remains as a hidden seed slowly growing. I am supposing that, that makes you a truth seeker.

So your entire relationship with God is based on that personal experience. A pre-Jesus event in your life, unique to you, that connected your childhood mind with who you thought was God. Of course, that is something you cannot prove. However, trusting the eternal destiny of your soul to that event is absolutely unwise.

After all, your mind was childlike and intent on continuing to play, even in the face of what you describe as a life and death choice.

Never been wise, or as you said in your previous post, to declare yourself wise. I see that as a misleading claim and something you want to hide behind. Other posts show you have already made decisions on scriptural subjects and find fault with others who differ with you. Scriptures not only guide hearts but brains also.

I can't dispute your being "touched", but your being saved is highly questionable if you maintain the claim of a

    pre-Jesus assurance of salvation.

Also, your use of the phrase "he wrote his law for her life she would abide..", sounds like you think being good enough saves you.

    "Marilyn Taplin,

" All people are born righteous and die when they sin." According to Marilyn Taplin.

Have you remained righteous or did you die too? In describing your thoughts on the subject it is important for us to understand how you fit into this teaching of yours.
  • S Spencer - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 3 years ago
    DearMarilyn

You stated men are born righteousness, My response was no one is born righteous. Being right right with God doesn't make you sinless.

Our righteousness don't purify the heart

Isaiah 64:6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Christ righteousness has to be imputed on to us. In that case all that truly accepted Christ should be on that list

Let's first look at the verse in Psalms YOU gave to validate your point.

""It don't quote the way you presented it"" However what you added argues my point for me..

You quoting """When an unjust person returns to God they will be justified, made just again""" Here is a few more verses to add to your quote.

2 Corinthians 5:21. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Romans 3:22 . Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Isaiah 53:11. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

    Job even disagrees with you:

Job 15:14-16. What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?

If you believe that's a list of sinless men I'm sure David would disagree with you also.

If we can be right with God our deliverance would have came from the law!!
  • Connie - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 3 years ago
This is the love of God sewn in my heart. These are the words that God has given me. I return these words to God and show you how much I love God and how i constantly seek him out for myself. I am here to share my simplicity of how God has touched my life. I have never been wise.

The smallest of all three me's

    is in my youngest memories..

In the green pastures i will forever find her there ...

Beside the still waters she plays without a care...

By her tiny right hand God led her to this place...

He let her little body fall

And set a choice all Gods children face...

No words were spoken by her Heavenly Father that fleshy ears would hear...

Her soul was gathered in God's love that innocently was without fear...

He gave her the choice of live or to die..

She chose to live and she told her Heavenly Father why..

She knew by death ... here she would remain..

In the presence of God's love .. no words can explain..

    She answered

"i would like to live so i can play"

God restored her soul. By his gift of life. ...is the very breath she breathed..

Where she had fallen as dead upon the grass ..

Her first death has come to pass...

    God opened her eyes

    She was able to see...

There was no veil to divide....

God opened her ears to hear.. upon her heart he wrote his law for her life she would abide..

He planted a seed and its hidden in her heart...

Such a gift found in the words she sews....

In Gods love she continues to grow..

Sacha thank you for understanding. When i say " blind faith" it means that when i call upon God for understanding i rely on how the scriptures are shown to me without looking for a certain scripture to justify what I have been told to believe. I can not begin to understand what no man can declare to understand. God has always been present in my life. In a personal way. His living word has been my guide for my blind faith to accept what he has set in front of me. A choice to love the Lord God and have no other equal to or above him. To obey the commandment and not question it, blind faith to search out God's word for personal accounting of my own thoughts and declarations. This i will be judged by. As in this

22But what is commanded thee, think thereupon with reverence, for it is not needful for thee to see with thine eyes the things that are in secret.23Be not curious in unnecessary matters: for more things are shewed unto thee than men understand.24For many are deceived by their own vain opinion; and an evil suspicion hath overthrown their judgment.

How can you say no one is righteous? Job is perfect and upright and he fears God. Job 2:3. The fear of God is to hate evil. Job hated evil. Job 1:1 "Job...was perfect and upright and feared god."

Job 2:9 "Then said (1) his wife unto him, Doest thou still retain thine integrity? curse God , and die." The cross reference (1) sends me to Gen. 3:6 where Eve eats of the tree of good and evil and so did Adam. Job's wife said the same as Eve said to Adam. But Job said, "thou speakest as one of the foolish women." He know who the foolish people were. The foolish are speaking of those given to unnatural sex as stated in Romans, professing to be wise they became fools. Job would not join his wife in foolish. Noah was perfect, Gen 6:9 "Noah was a just man and perfect."

    The just have wisdom:

    Characteristics of the just:

Pro. 10:20, "The tongue of the just is as choice silver"

Pro. 10:31, "The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom."

Pro. 4:18, "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the

    perfect day

Ps 7:9, "Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins." When an unjust person returns to God they will be justified, made just again.

I have a partial list of those in the Bible who are just and perfect.

My take is that Jobs wife was giving him bad advice, wanting to put an end to the suffering. She didn't have the answers and if I'm not mistaking Job never got an answer either. Never knew what was going on behind the scene.

And no one was born righteousness but Jesus. He was a quickening spirit. ""the second Adam""

The first Adam was a living soul, we come into this world a son of Adam. That's why we have to be born again, ""Meaning born from above"" Then we will be born of that life giving spirit.

Romans 8:11. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. This is done by the baptism of the Holyspirit.

What hurts the Church today is the apostasy, The things we suffer to enter the Church and draw people away from the truth.

There are people in the Church that think we have to prepare the way for Christ return. Some abandon the truth for their on agenda.

    Hello Mild Bill,

If God dose not shorten a day no flesh will be saved. All people are born righteous and die when they sin. Satan's people kill the righteous with sin. Job's wife wanted Job to die and be like her. 9,000 men have filed law suits against the Boy Scouts for molesting them. They were killed when they were molested. The Catholic priest molested children and the children died a spiritual death. This is going on much more than we think. Our radio, television and movies are spreading same sex activity. People die a spiritual death when committing unnatural sex. So look at our society today. How many are spiritually dead? If God doesn't shorten this present (day) time no flesh will be saved.

But he will come and save all those who have died. The truth will slay the wicked. Put the first coming of Jesus in the last days. That is when he is promised--- Isaiah 2;2 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the Lord's house shall be established....and all nation shall low unto it." All people will return to God.

The Hebrew word for "chapt" is 'Chathath' (pr. khaw-thath), which means 'shattered or to be dismayed'. But in reference to the "ground being chapt & there was no rain on the Earth", we could understand the word to mean, 'parched or unusable'. As the farmers in those early days depended heavily on rain for their crops (having no viable irrigation systems), the lack of rain in season, caused the farmers to feel utterly dejected & confounded, covering their heads in sorrow.
