Wesley's Notes for Ephesians 6:7

6:7 Unto the Lord, and not to men - That is, rather than to men; and by making every action of common life a sacrifice to God; having an eye to him in all things, even as if there were no other master.

People's Bible Notes for Ephesians 6:7

Eph 6:7 With good will doing service. With a well disposed mind towards the master. As to the Lord, and not to men. It pleases the Lord, whatever may be the relations of life, for us to do our service well. We may engage in very lowly duties to the glory of the Lord.

The book of Ephesians reminds me of the book of Colossians, because is telling us about being obedient to our parents.
  • Gods witness
Cheryl (The breath of life is his spirit) so that which makes you you is spirit. And the very scripture you used about the breath returning to God it actually says spirit not breath returns back to God (but remember the breath is the spirit). these are all scriptures that let you know this is true Ecclesi. 12:7/Job 32:8/ Prov. 20:27/ Rom.8:16/Zech. 12:1/Gen. 2:7/job 27:3/Heb. 4:12

Nathaniel; You say good words, that are so important! As to the efficacy of prayer of a righteous man; in Daniel 9 the man of God was reflecting on the Scriptures and praying and confessing and fasting about the things he read; and while he was doing these things there was great battle in the spirit world of the heavens for the sake of bringing God's answer and understanding to Daniel.

In view of various challenges facing our generation, this chapter has given us an answer - "put on the armour of God..." Children of God all over the world must rise up to the challenges through power of prayer. Victory is certain. Jesus is Lord!
