My wife is at the Jacksonville Mayo clinic. She is facing a kidney rejection. Moreover, she had a seizure after coming from doing a CT scan, my world was falling apart. When I got back to the room I saw the room flooded with all the nurses and doctors. They won 't let me in the room. I began to cried. I was afraid, I began to read psalms chapter as that was my only comfort, but the chaplain hung over me and saw me reading off my cell phone. He touched my shoulder and said, you know what Robert my favorite psalm is psalm 121. As I was crying, I began to read that psalm. It gave me hope, comfort and assurance. I felt like God was speaking to me. So I held on to that psalm and pray, and praise the name of Jesus a day after my beautiful wife came through from the seizure. And I 'm holding him to his words that he will not slumber, he will put life back into her kidney. How the sun knows when to shine, and who told the Ocean you can only come this far, I blessed you Jesus for you are great.

We want to read the Bible at a pace that allows for meditation. Jehovah God does not want his servants to rush through a reading of his Word. When we meditate on what we read, it will help us to fix attention on portions that are especially useful and encouraging.
  • MockingBird on Psalms 34:17 - 9 years ago
When I call cry upon the Lord : I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus : He delivers me out of all : not just a few : ALL of my troubles : He hears me when I call. So in return : When God calls me : I should hear and answer with : Yes , Lord , here am I !!

  • Caspar on 1 John 1:8 - 9 years ago
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it. Jeremiah 17:9 The first Adam sought his own will in the first garden and incurred a death sentence for all mankind. The second Adam Jesus Christ said in the second garden- "not my will, but thy will... " Thanks be unto God that we are purchased by the blood of the Lamb and we can confess our sins, John 1:9 and be perfect in Him- Genesis 17:1 and that our "righteousness exceeds the scribes and pharisees " of old.

The Holy Spirit gives us boldness to flee from idolatry, and turn to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Speak the truth in Love with all boldness. Never be afraid to be with Jesus. As John and Peter were unlearned, and ignorant, but They had been with Jesus. That is all that matters.

Blessed are those who wait upon the Lord for they shall see the Glory of God. Our God 's ways are higher than our ways, our God 's thoughts are higher than our thoughts His works are perfect and complete this is the reason why God has appointed time to heal us and blessed us, because God wants us to seek him and the kingdom of God first and obey his commandments, All things that we need will be follow. Jesus loves us and he never fail us. He is faithful to his promises, our job is only to believe on Jesus that He is the Son of the Living God who can save us and protect us. He is a good Shepherd and He promised to lay down his life for us. What a loving Father and faithful. He is not a God who lies He is a God of truth. There is no other Jehovah and no other name above Jesus. Keep your faith on him because he will never slam his door for us. He is our door, any man who enter in him will be saved. Jesus loves you and He cannot stop loving us
  • Greg Ines on Romans 8 - 9 years ago
In 1990, at the sinful age of 22, I sought out "more than this life of sin and death ". My Uncle was dying of AIDS. He told me to seek out the Lord. I did. And one fall day in 1990, I gave my life to Christ. Then I suffered addictions, my Father 's suicide, a broken engagement to be married, and loss of my state of Florida job. And yet throughout all these setbacks, Jesus never left me nor gave up on me! Thanks be to God! I am now 46, and living a clean, sober and righteous lifestyle -thanks to God 's patience with me. A lowly sinner that took 20 years to get it right. But thanks to Romans Chapter 8, it all started on that Fall day in 1990. Sincerely, Greg Ines.
  • Anthony Sims on Matthew 5 - 9 years ago
The first time I read the beattitudes I could not begin to imagine what Jesus is saying. I 'm 47 years old and I have chased every physical pleasure this world offers. Jesus chose the perfect time in my life to get my full attention and say " Come and follow me and I will show you things you never dreamed ". Today when I read Matt.5 it 's like I 'm sitting on the mount listening to the most fulfilling sermon Jesus ever preached. It took time, prayer, and much pain to get here. Jesus in the morning, Jesus at noon, Jesus in the evening. I need thee every hour. Oh my precious Jesus how much I need thee.
  • Anna Kelly on Psalms 23 - 9 years ago
This psalm helps me when my soul feels empty and without feeling. God reassures me that he is ever present in danger and that as I walk to the lake in meditation, I can remember that he will restore my soul with its still waters, and that if I lay myself down in the fields back home or somewhere in the valley I can look up into the sky and watch the clouds roll by overhead. He reminds me that the world is constantly turning and that I am still, and the earth will continue turning. The Lord refreshes me and continues his walk and says Anna, you have new strength. I am with you.

All through Jeremiah, keeping of the Sabbath is stressed. It is a very important commandment uniting the Jews with God .I as a lowly Gentile, have begun honoring the Sabbath as per God 's command from sunset Friday evening to sunset Saturday evening, I try to do no work. I used to shop the sales on Saturday. I don 't do that anymore ..I try not to buy or sell on the Sabbath .God knows I am trying to honor His commandment and has blessed me with more time and more of other things .I am amazed at this I just wanted to keep the Sabbath as per God 's command .didn 't expect the blessings He has bestowed on me .God is good

Jesus Christ, son of God has a promised John 3 16 through His blood we are saved from sins, repent .We all travelers in this world as far we encounter troubles, problems and more logic in life.Base on it His grace we move for sanctification to be the chosen and be are name be written in the book of life Luke 10:20 .By focusing Jesus Christ as the center of our life.I believe that when we get closer to God and made fully understand the Jesus Christ is our Savior, there is more trials to encounter by faith.Keep holding tight and God will not forsaken and be saved

I loved this chapter because it is all about faith and believing on God. We must learn to listen for his voice and do the right things and live Godly. I ask God to forgive me daily and keep me out of my flesh and he does and I pray on that daily. Humility is a blessings that I am trying to gain. Amen.

There are seven things in this verse that God is for and to us : Rock : Fortress : Deliverer : Strength : Buckler : Horn of Salvation : and High Tower !!! My God , In whom I will trust. Seven is a Divine number. All numbers have a meaning in God 's Word. I Praise God for what He is to me in this verse. I can depend on Him.

The word of God is manifest in his power, but only by the spirit can we see this power. Many believe that the acknowledgment and or worship of Christ or God is the way to be close to him. To be close to God we must be in our own spirit the piece of God that lives within us. For he is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIGHT. Amen.
