The Lord is good and a strong hold in trouble. He know them who have trust in him. Jesus is a good shepherd who laid down his life to the sheep. A sheep who follow Jesus will know his voice. This message is for Tjohn, I will just like to tell you and encourage you, that first and foremost we serve a Faithful God. And us as believers are suppose to only live by faith. Meaning that Jesus Christ have already paid the price for us. By his stripes you are healed. As long as you confess it with your whole heart. This applies to you. Just ask God for forgiveness then forgive yourself.
Psalm 91 comforts me. It removes the fear that fills this world and my heart. He shall call on me and I will answer. That's all I need to know that no weapon formed against me will prosper. I think the Lord everyday even after the cancer diagnosis I know the Lord has me in his hands. Everything will be alright I just keep reading the word.
I asked my supervisor and friend why I was feeling overwhelmed by problems and stress and she read me Psalms 23...to this day...3 days later that's all I think of...I'm so grateful to have a spiritual friend to help me open my eyes to what God has planned for me. Yes our Lord is sovereign in our salvation. His choosing is not based on performance but as we are told in 1 Corinthians He chooses the weak and lowly so that "no flesh can glory in His presence". When we get to heaven we won't be bragging about ourselves but we will be humbly praising and thanking Him for all eternity! We have no bragging rights now or then in heaven!
I was "Born again" at a Billy Graham gospel convention in London 1966. It is like yesterday to me. I can assure every reader that God is faithful through Jesus and His Holy Spirit. The many times I have let Him down I know He has never loosened His loving grip on me. Praise His Name!
To Mary on Ps. 37 - The word of God is a real help in time of trouble, isn't it? Our pastor spoke on Ps. 37:7 several months ago - ".....rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him". He will give us rest through our prayer life, and we wait patiently for Him to answer those prayers - KNOWING that He will!!! Praise the name of Jesus!!!
