    An Encouragement in Christian Journey

Mark 9:41:- For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Romans 16:13:- Salute Rufus chosen in the Lord, and his mother and mine.

Who is this Rufus? Why do we consider him?

Rufus is the best example, the promise given by Jesus Christ himself is still in effect. Rufus is a Son of Simon a Cyrenian who bore Christ's cross for a while ( Mark 9:41, 15:21). It is the true and greatest joy for Simon a Cyrenian to know his Son found Christ and saved and has a notable place in Paul's Salute. ( 3 John 1:4)

The WORD of the Lord will endure forever. Thank you Father for your love for us and blessings you give us that we may be a blessing unto others.

May we be faithful in our prayers for the leadership of the USA as well as for your hand of mercy unto the conflict in Ukraine.

We want to be careful of what we say and we want to make sure that our words are upbuilding to others. This means that we have to think before we speak.

    1 Corinthians 10:13

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

Just a reminder that our God is an understanding God. We beat ourselves up, and we at times find it very difficult to accept the forgiveness and mercy of God. We harbor unforgiveness and we forget that most important lesson Jesus taught to his disciples, that unless we forgive, our heavenly Father will not forgive us. May God never allow us to forget this most important lesson. May God never allow us to become a victim of deception in believing we can go on with unforgiveness, and bitterness in our hearts.

Our great and gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ rewards as described in His Holy Word. Saints are entered into heaven because of their "faith" in the gospel of the Lord God Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2: 8-10.

The rewarding of the Saint is according to the work done in the name of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15. If any works done is deemed to be "wood, hay, stubble" or the works performed did not praise the Lord, the works will be burned, and he will suffer loss. But here's the best part- v15b "but he himself shall be saved"

However the "reward" for the unsaved, lost, or dead is entirely different. As rightly stated by many on this forum, the "wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23. That is the key.

The lost or unsaved will appear at the great white throne to be "judged every man according to their works." Revelation 20:13b

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15.

The Lord God is true and just in all His dealings with us.

The key to all of this is simply the Salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Even if we do not understand it, God does. He does not ask for our understanding; just our obedience and trust. God bless all on this forum. March 4, 2022

The testing of our faith is done by seeing if there are "fruits meet for repentance." Never mind the KJV word; basically the things which come out of our inner being should demonstrate that the Spirit is at work with love; joy; peace; patience; longsuffering etal. These are in contrast to the BAD fruits of our old nature (adulteries; fornications; anger; strife; dissentions; greed; etc). The test first of all is whether we have truly been saved. That is evidenced largely by whether we have genuine remorse for our sins because we love God and have offended Him; or if we simply wish to be as Judas Iscariot and avoid the consequences. He even went so far as to realize that Christ was a "righteous man"; but never acknowledge Him as God in the flesh and worship Him. If we love God; and truly have that Agape supernatural all encompassing type affection for Him; then we realize that the Spirit of God inside us grieves at our sin (as the Spirit lives within us). Romans already indicates the "done deal" for the regenerate; those who are justified are sanctified then glorified (I'll let you find the verse). For the elect; the corridors of time are already seen with the end from the beginning; as these good works have been predestined for us since before the beginning of time (another verse to find in scripture). Another KEY concept and command is that we love one another (the brethren) and others will know we are Christians that way. What we do; whether sins of commission or omission probably have far more collateral effect on others than in our own lives. As part of His Body; we should esteem others above ourselves; and see ourselves as "unworthy servants" merely doing our duty and working to help fulfill the Great Commission ( Matthew 28 I believe). It does help to confess our sins to one another to have accountability; and also as a believer the Lord has those He wishes us to disciple and to build us up in the faith. If we are His; we "hear His voice".

I always think that it's awesome how God confounded everyone's speech in Genesis Ch 11 V 7 and scattered everyone and how in Acts Ch 2 V 1-13 God allows everyone to hear the gospel in their own language and brings us all together in Christ by giving us the Bible which has been translated and printed in so many languages now . We are all one in Christ no matter what language we speak or part of the world we come from . What God scattered He now brings together under His wings through His Son . Praise God for His perfect ways .
