At first I was confused but when I read the cometary I got it much better understood it better
  • Mark Valesano on Ecclesiastes 4:9
Solomon prayed upon becoming King, for wisdom in ruling God's people. Not only did God grant him his request, but expanded it by providing him with wealth (unrivaled to this day) and peace from potential enemies. I believe God did this to allow Solomon to experience all the pleasures and possibilities the world has to offer and to discover the ultimate vanity of it in the end...namely, death. Although Solomon had many wives, concubines, and many other avenues to draw his attention from God; in the end, he came back to the original position from which his reign had begun. Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

Your post is such a blessing to wake up to. I hear the Holy Spirit singing, "What a Mighty God We Serve!"

He is Mighty. He brings us out of Egypt (sin), and brings us through the deserts in our lives; to the Promised Land. We are His children. The enemies on the other side are nothing compared to Gods purpose to bless His children. That's what we sink our faith into. No matter the obstacles that get in our face, we know that we WIN. Even if we die on the trip over, we arise to meet Jesus; face to face. He is our Reward!

The devil will Lie to us and say "it was just a too much pizza, dream you saw". Untrue. We know WHO it is we love and trust. Every day we wake up, and our feet hit the floor :D is a bad day for satan.

We are aliens to this world. We look to a future day when we will meet The Lord our Savior. The Lover of our Souls. This world is not our home anymore. Let's spend our prayers and our time, being "fishers of men".

Pharisees taught dry doctrine, without any love for the people they taught. It was a job. You go into the "office" every day, do your duty, and go home again. Did you catch any fish today?

I love the Samaritan woman story. She heard all the words of Jesus... and burned up the road, to her town to shout out, "COME SEE A MAN who told me all the words of my life!!" The whole town turned out to go see the Man, and they saw salvation that day. We'll see them in heaven.

Our earth is getting ready to meet the King of the Universe! It's not global warming. It is this earth groaning for God to restore it to what God intended in the first days of Eden. Only those who get their names in the Book of Life, will be residents in New Jerusalem.

Let Us all quit listening to those fools on National TV, that think they (and every dollar we earn) can restore the earth; stop climate change.

They don't read the Bible, or else they would know that GOD fully intends to DO IT. Study it for yourselves. Proclaim it.

Thank you, all these distractions are trying to move Gods word. Reading your post reminds me of my faith and to remember through it all God is the same, yesterday: he delivered me or us and today is the same! No weapon formed against us shall prosper, we are the symbol of Christ and May endure persecution but we remain alive. I love you and appreciate your strength! Let's continue to walk with his armor meanwhile witnessing what he instructs us....
  • Jesus the same Yesterday Today and Tomorrow on Ecclesiastes 4:9
I've been healed many times. At salvation I was healed of drugs plus alcohol abuse. I was suicidal and involved in actual astrological chart readings. I didn't know Jesus and didn't know I was serving Satan. The moment I reached to take hold of an invisible hand, I was sure (had faith) a Hand was extended to me; I was born again, delivered spiritually and physically. I didn't experience detox and I woke up the next day filled with the Holy Spirit who impressed on me to rid my house of all cursed occult items which I burned the next day. I hadn't read Acts 19:19 yet.

Every time I prayed for healing and received it by faith, it was done: migraines, arm wrenched out of range. I asked for $3,249.76 to move out of state, and I got that exact amount of money!!

You believe what Jesus says. We are not of this world. Ask the Father, in Jesus name; then receive it. Don't ask selfishly. Ask in faith. Stand on scripture. Jesus is the same today, tomorrow and forever. Fear not.

    Mark Chapter 16

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth NOT shall be damned.

    17 And THESE SIGNS shall follow them that BELIEVE; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents (like COVID), and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall LAY HANDS ON THE SICK and they shall recover.

    Isaiah 26:3

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

    Luke 13:11; John 5:5; Acts 10:38; Acts 3:2;

    Acts 4:9

Did Job trust God? Did everybody who knew Job or didn't know him; some accused him of sin, small faith; his wife told him to curse God and die; then at length God revealed His true majesty and wisdom to Job.

Touch God with praise, worship and your faith. He wants you to touch him. Read those scriptures.

Delbert, there are of course many verses that mention a heterosexual marriage, whether directly or indirectly. But here are a few:

    Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5,6; Ephesians 5:22-26 & 31; 1 Peter 3:7.
  • Delbert on Ecclesiastes 4:9
what bible verses refer to a marriage between man and women KJV
  • Earl Bowman - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 4:8
William, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Revelation 12:7 And there was WAR IN HEAVEN.......

Revelation 1:1 .....and sent and signified (or symbolic of) it by his angel....

Revelation 1:3 ....for the time is at hand....

Revelation is difficult at best to understand because most want believe the above two verses. The words were just as true for readers in Johns time as they are to us in our time and will be to those in the future who read them. The war in heaven (which began after Christ was crucified) was happening in Johns time just as it it happening today and will continue happening as long as there is a tomorrow.

Now, with the working of the Spirit let's see if by using other verses as the KEYS TO THE KINGDOM we can come to the truth about the WAR IN HEAVEN.

Luke 17:21 .....the kingdom of heaven is in YOU.....

2 Corinthians 12:2 ....such an one caught up to the THIRD HEAVEN.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God DWELLETH IN

There is a natural heaven, but an a symbol it represent us (WHERE GOD DWELLS)

Matthew 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the SPIRIT OF GOD, then the KINGDOM OF GOD IS COME UNTO YOU.

Revelation 12:7 ....and there was war in heaven (in you)...

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out..

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice (the Holy Spirit) saying in heaven (in you), now is salvation, and strength, and the KINGDOM OF OUR GOD..

Luke 10:17-18 And he said unto them (the seventy he sent out to cast out devils), I beheld SATAN as lighting fall FROM HEAVEN (from those that Satan was cast out of).

2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God (Spirit) to the pulling down strong holds (traditions of man).

Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the (natural) warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this (spiritual battle) shall be with (spiritual) burning and FUEL of (spiritual) FIRE.
  • William Deville on Ecclesiastes 4:8
First of all, thank you all for your awesome site! I absolutely love it! Its taken me about 40 years to get to a point of having some understanding of God's word. It never ceases to amaze me.The Bible is a way more effective tool when we use it to verify situations, occurrences, and then refer back to the word with comparative principal. What this vlearly represents is a form of slavery that seems to have been around since the fall of man/angels in the "garden".

From angels fallen to mankind, and mankind falling to a beast commonly known to is todsy as "hu-man". Sons of God, to sons of man...and then sons of perdition. With our birth certificate created at our birth, they created a "CORPORATE FICTION"...An "Ens Legis. It is in all caps and has the capacity and status of a dead body...It is a corpus. The State captures the soles/souls on a document brfore our babies feet touch the ground and claim jurisdiction over them/us. If Jesus tells us that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us, then where was this battle in Heaven where Lucifer and his angels warred against Michael and Gods angels actually taking place? When God created Man in the Creation account in the beginning..It was an equal creation...Male and Female He created He them. But this garden story where you know who happened to be a third party and led the male and female to sin and to "fall" through what I have come to clearly understand through Gods Loving Mercy and Grace, is that the forbidden fruit was Sex.Out of wedlock. Which is the act of "reproduction" ,NOT "Procreation" which in turn made them something God did not intend on them being. The first/original estate is mentioned in the book of Enoch. It speaks of how the angels that fell turned away from what God wanted for them/us ,so they became manifestations of themselves and not Gods intended way. Once I was at the end of my rope, and surrendered ,then came understanding. I could go on and on. ALL PRAISE AND GLORY TO THE FATHER! God bless you all!
  • MICHAEL PEREZ on Ecclesiastes 4
    No verse 16 it all
  • Verse 9-This is a nice verse to help wives think of themselves as a partner to their husband. By supporting one another in the marriage it can help to strengthen the marriage.
  • Verse 6-chasing after the wind is futile because you can't catch the wind. A workaholic may never enjoy the fruitage of his labor and all his or her work may become as fruitless as chasing after the wind.
  • Darlene Doughty on Ecclesiastes 4:12
    Explain Ecclesiastes 4:12
  • comments by Alex on Solomon, saw the 2 nd Child that shall stand up in his stead and said there is no end of the ppl that he shall be king over, The H.G. is that 2 nd child that shall stand up in his stead.Whosoever receives one such CHILD in MY NAME RECEIVES ME, The H.G is that 2 nd child b/c Jesus said that which is BORN of the Spirit is Spirit thats th H.G. THAT IS GONNA BE BORN IN OUR HEARTS VIA THAT GOOD SEED TH WORD. He is gonna rule all nations ( no end to the ppl he shall be king over ) Remember King Solomon himself was the 2 nd child that rose up in DAVIDS STEAD,but Solomon was not the Child of Promise. But there is a great truth in SOLOMON the 2 nd Child IT WAS HE THAT God allowed to build the temple, just prophetic that the H.G.will make our bodies his temple a perfect temple outta of the mouths of babes and sucklings Thou has PERFECTED PRAISE ( th H.G. WHICH IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT IS SPIRIT ) THE CHILD OF Promise a greater then Solomon which means COMFORTER TH H.G. TH KINGDOM WITHIN US.Perfection does not come till the 2 nd child ( the babes and the sucklings ) Impling a CHILD that is gonna be born in our hearts. Unless ya receive the kingdom as a lil child impling a heavenly birth .
  • I would rather be born to know God and his love and deal with the evil of the world knowing God will protect us than never know Him. I feel King Solomon that the idea of never being born is prefer to avoid evil which means to avoid God and his plans.
  • Williedean on Ecclesiastes 4
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.

For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow, but woe to him that is alone when he falleth for he hath not another to help him up.

Again, if two lie together, then they have heat, but how can one be warm alone?
  • King Solomon wrote these words but unfortunately verse 13 applied to Solomon himself. He became an unwise old king because he stop listening to admonishment or warnings.
  • A woman was made of man. Read the virtues of a good woman in Proverbs. A woman is not property. Paul writes that neither does a man have dominion over a woman nor a woman over the man but they are one flesh. While the man is the head of the woman, God is the head of them both.

  • Christopher on Ecclesiastes 4
God gives us all things in life and takes all things back, it 's not our place to know all but to try,and to be happy trying. It may not always be good times all the time but in the end of it all, life itself was and is worth it.

When i married my husband yesterday the pastor wrote dow a few verses to look up in the bible and i have his first was Ecclesiastes chapter 4 verses 9-12 and i couldn't believe it i now just how true it really is
  • It is sad to be in this kind of situation but I believe that to be on God"s side will proffer lasting solution.
  • meditate on this scripture - Ecclesiastes 4:10. Love you
  • B J Manuel on Ecclesiastes 4:3
It would be an error for anyone to imagine that this scripture was a defense for abortion. It is rather a comparison of the supposed bliss in the safety of a loving womb to the woes of living in the grown-up world. It was preferred to having seen and experienced suffering, sadness, grief and the evils of any time period. This verse was written before the dispensation of Christ, wherein is to be found "joy unspeakable and full of glory." Then again there is a cost attached to being a child of God in Christ Jesus and suffering is a particular cost. ". . . If any man suffer as a Christian let him not be ashamed but let him glorify God on this behalf." ( 1Peter 4:16) Maturity in Christ is something Solomon never had the pleasure of experiencing; We, on the other hand, can and by the grace of God will experience. The unborn are sacred but how much more so those persons who have come of age and been reborn in Christ Jesus to reside forever in Him.
  • Ngel Ukoh on Ecclesiastes 4
This chapter made us to understand that we the living should do the right thing at the right time in order to praise God because all these struggles under heaven are vanity upon vanity. We should be wise enough to understand the word of God.
  • Ntombizodwa on Ecclesiastes 4
We must seek wisdom from God so that he unfolds the eyes that cannot see, ears that cannot hear, heart that cannot seek the holy spirit to lead.
  • Personal application: My company wants me to become a construction foreman with a lot more responsibility ( but very little pay - $2 more per hour..) Bettef is a handful with quietness..
  • Vincent Mwamlima on Ecclesiastes 4
This is indeed the inspired word of God. One can easily be prompted to think that it is saying about african Presidents who get drunk with power and no longer listen to any piece of good advice
  • Soloman was great in wisdom yet he realized the life he was living was vain, so as any great man of God he decided to help someone else. There are two kinds of people 1)the wise, 2)the foolish, one day we as a people must realize which are we.Now Soloman speaks of both people; the wise will surrende, whereas the foolish will keep his hands folded and will not recieve his blessing.
