Godly wisdom, which brings joy, is given to a man who is good before Jehovah God. It is impossible to gain this wisdom without having a good relationship with God
  • Kaneng on Ecclesiastes 2 - 9 years ago
    This is so true.
  • Colette on Ecclesiastes 2 - 10 years ago
We are all chasing after the wind this is human The real essence of life is to acquire divine wisdom live by these principles and enjoy what God has already blessed us with Don t amass or seek for what will add no value to your life and instead distress you

  • TRACIE on Ecclesiastes 2 - 10 years ago
This chapter is about how the King hates the fact that even though he has built up a great kingdom..he has nothing to show for what God has given him..Wisdom and knowledge..he has not honored God so he hates himself for it...We will die like the fool if the wisdom that God has given does not show itself..or give benefit.. or give respect to God. The wise man is only wise if it makes a DIFFERENCE....AND praise be given to God who has given that wisdom

ecclesiastes 2 : it's a reminder for all of us that no matter what we have or what we want in the end it's all vanity, when really all we need while here on this earth is LOVE , food and clothing , the latter two of the three will be supplied the first you as a human must make the choice ... will you Love everyone as CHRIST loves you or will you pick and choose who u will Love.

    Re: Eccl 2:14

Another divine reminder that the Heretofore is preparation for the Hereafter (Death is only the beginning)... Wisdom is Divine Guidance, rewarded in both the Heretofore and the Hereafter! So capitalise! Because Death doesn't discriminate. All that's left is Piety.
  • Ngel Ukoh on Ecclesiastes 2 - 11 years ago
Ecclesiastes 2 made me to understand that we should not hold the things of this world very tied, so that when the time comes it will be easy to leave them without pain, because everything under the earth is vanity upon vanity.
  • Joseph G. Conteh on Ecclesiastes 2 - 11 years ago
The economics' theory of unlimited wants of human beings is being drawn from Ecclesiastes. One may desire something, the moment s(he) gets that, then another desire emerges. One is never satisfied with whatever s(he) has, does, sees, hears, feels etc... Therefore one needs to have a neutralizing point which is the Lord God who should be allowed to reign in our lives. We need to care for one another and avoid gathering riches which may be inherited by our enemies.
  • Terry Trussell on Ecclesiastes 2 - 11 years ago
I have been away from God for a long time, but I have been feeling his presence all around me lately, I was saved on Feb.21 1994, after a few years I left the church, been trying life on my own, it hasnt been working out too good! I'm just Thankful we have a forgiving God, like he said he'll never leave me nor forsake me. Praise Jesus!! Will keep asking for prayers for encouragement and uplifting my spirits!

I agree really nothing but Jesus, what matters. Don't store treasures for no reason. Help, give to poor and do everything what Jesus would want you to do. Love my father(:
  • Bernie on Ecclesiastes 2 - 13 years ago
What I got Is really we are really nothing In the sight of GOD.What ever we get Is from GOD.We need to give all the Glory because we could not have done It without him. What we have Is GOD.We need to have his character and his righteousness and the love his for the human race.
  • Reggie on Ecclesiastes 2 - 14 years ago
As New Testament Believers when reading Old Testament scriptures hine sight is always 20/20. Very few if any, New Testament writers had any knowledge about Jesus Christ and the New Testament Church. Their point of references was based on the Nation of Israel and no Old Testament Saint was sealed with the Holy Spirit or received salvation as we have. Also, being saved isn't the catch all of life; we have eternal life thank God for Jesus Christ and the blessings thereof. Labour is labour and that within itself produces a certain amount of toil and anxiety.
  • Lisa rose d spencer on Ecclesiastes 2 - 14 years ago
Don't do things for wrong reasons. Enjoy your labour as you are taking care of what God.Jesus has given you. Do not be greedy with what is freely yours as a blessing from our Lord.
  • Lisa rose d spencer on Ecclesiastes 2 - 14 years ago
my understanding is that there is really nothing but Jesus. all other things are a type of vanity or proudness that have no good in them. grow food, feed people don't store treasures for no reason. share or give freely to others if you have it to share or give or trade. it helps others Ilove you Jesus!
