  • Mishael - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12
He was referring you to ECCLESIASTICUS

Go back to the Red Link page and look for this grouping:

    KJV Bible

    KJV Standard

    KJV 1611

    KJV Introduction

    KJV Apocrypha ************

    KJV Mobile Site

    KJV Store

Note: the Apocrypha was NOT canonized into the King James Bible. Googling history of the King James Bible will explain why.
  • Yvonne Bytheway Dickson - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12
    Dear Ronald

thank you so much for replying I already was told 43:11 even Googled it but

I just received this copy of King James Version new large print but there isn't a chapter 43 only 12 chapters.

Do I have an abridged version or something other?

    If so that's a disappointment.
  • Ronald Whittemore - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12

It is in Ecclesiasticus 43:11, on the site, click on more, then click on Standard King James Bible Apocrypha. Click on Ecclesiasticus go to chapter 43 and there you go verse 11.

    God bless,

I apologize I put my comment under Song of Solomon

I cannot find in Ecclesiastes the verse "Look upon the rainbow and praise him."
  • Robert DeHaan on Ecclesiastes 12
Praise the Lord with joy in our hearts. Fear the Lord for He is the Judge of our lives here on earth and this MUST make us to repent of our sins. We thank you ABBA Father that You have wiped away all sin through Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank you Father for your Grace and Mercy that cause us to worship the only true Lord and King Eternal. What joy should fill our hearts each day. Your Saints rejoice in Your blessings during the daylight and in the evening as we sleep, You are the Good Shepherd and we are your Sheep. I love Your Commandments forevermore! All because You gave us Jesus to die for those sins that once separated us from You.

And hallow my Sabbaths : and they shall be a ' sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. Ezekiel 20 :20*. For .if Jesus
  • Rod nernberg - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12
Matthew chapter 22 verses 23 to 32 I believe answers this very well when Jesus talks to the Sadducees with respect to the resurrection. as in verse 30 "For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven."
  • Mishael FOOD in Heaven - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12
No, but there will be food. The Tree of Life will be available to everybody.

Our first day in heaven after the Rapture we will be attending a Wedding FEAST.

My kid didn't want to go to heaven if there wasn't going to be pizza (he was 9) and the Holy Spirit said there would be pizza :D

    I was shocked too lol.

Strong men are bones. Grinders are teeth. Windows are eyes. Ears are low. Almond tree is grey hair. Grasshopper is children. Silver cord is the spirit. Golden bowl is the saint. These are supposed to be in parenthesis in my text but the website does not allow them.
  • Dwayne on Ecclesiastes 12
Strong men bones shall bow. Grinders teeth cease and are few. Windows eyes be darkened. Sound of grinding ears is low. Almond tree grey hair shall flourish. Grasshopper children shall be a burden. Silver cord spirit be loosed. Golden bowl saints be brokened. Remember thy creator in your youth and keep his commandments. Amen.

I believe we are to only seek out this inspired book of God. Which is enough to last anyone a life time seeking Him . I believe, God reveals His word unto us when He know we are ready to receive. Have you ever read a Scripture more than once and you get a revelation of Wow!? verified by precepts OP Because of sin and faulty of men. I believe God wants us to focus on one book to avoid heresy.
  • Gloria - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12
I like this summary a lot.
  • Gloria on Ecclesiastes 12
The grinders are few and the windows are darkened means you lose teeth and your eyesight grows dim. The words of the wise are as goads, pointing and poking you in the right direction as an animal poked with a stick or a mother with a ruler. If you can't read all the books of the bible, remember that the whole duty of man is to keep his commandments.

the song writer said: "Must Jesus bear the cross alone, and all the world go free, NO, there is a cross for everyone and there is a cross for me". .... by the power of GOD may we be Faithful till we Rest in HIM.

  • Ann - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12
Evette Clark, it also means emptiness, untruth. Fruitless desire, or endeavor.
  • Adam - in Reply on Ecclesiastes 12
Vanity: the quality of being worthless or futile excessive pride in or admiration of one's own appearance or achievements. I think it means that Solomon felt our life on earth seemed insignificant compared to what's really important. We come from dust and return to dust when we die, such a short existence. James 4:14 says our life is a vapor.
  • EVETTE CLARK on Ecclesiastes 12
I came in my office feeling very low about my looks and age. I asked God to give me a word. I received my word. God is so real Thank You Lord
  • CASSANDRA VAUGHN on Ecclesiastes 12
  • Establish Faith in our Creator from an early age. When we see, with wonder and amazement, the world that He has created for us.The sands of time inevitably roll on and we are ground and battered, bruised until 1 day, we return to sand. Praise God and trust that He will ease those days and grant us Peace in His heaven when that day ultimately arrives. Until then? Live Life to it's fullness with God
  • Obbie Beal on Ecclesiastes 12

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (
  • Eccl 12 reminds us that one day we will get old
  • Matthew J Sekyra on Ecclesiastes 12
I like this very much. Very simple and encouraging.
  • Jehovah God created humans to give him worship and keep his commandments.
  • Preachmoore on Ecclesiastes 12
The whole duty of is keep and follow His commandant's which is His word. Anything else is vain and a waste of time. Take advantage of Grace and strength by seeking Him early when faculties is clear and Spirit is high. We must study to show thyself approved Amen???
  • Troy MacDonald on Ecclesiastes 12
It good I like it god bless
  • Verse 10~Solomon wanted the people to benefit so he took time to find careful words that were accurate and true. We should also weigh our words and consider what we will say before we say it.
  • Verse 2~ Solomon likens the days of youth to the Palestinian summer where everything shines bright. Youth is truly a precious time where one can accomplish many things. We want to use youth wisely.
  • Bruce Wayne on Ecclesiastes 12
Verse 13: Fear God, keep his commandments ( Exodus 20) for they will never be altered ( Psalms 89:34), have faith in Jesus Christ of Nazareth ( John 3:18)

Keep the commandments of God and Faith of Jesus ( Rev 14:13), for the time is at hand ( Rev 1:3).
