7:10 Better - More quiet and comfortable. For this is an argument of a mind unthankful for the many mercies, which men enjoy even in evil times. For - This question shews thy folly in contending with thy Lord and governor, in opposing thy shallow wit to his unsearchable wisdom.

  • The meaning of this passage is clear, and it's a lesson lost on a very large number of people. It isn't talking about music styles and movies, either. Old men back then would have been more concerned with morality, prosperity, and security, which are the same things people worry about today.

    Christians can be too quick to cast any attempt at having perspective as "relativism."
