Let me tell you something .. Jehovah was used for the Old testament .. We live in the New Testament now and do you find Jehovah in the New Testament. Jehovah was just another name for God .. Do you find them using Jehovahs name to cast out devils in the Old Testament ? NO ! Revelation 1:8 - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. ~ Jesus said this .. We are reading from Isaiah are we not ? Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, *The mighty God*, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Hey for Ian Wilson and the ones who "think" the name of the almighty should be Jehovah read this. 18 Let no man deceive himself. 1 Corinthians 3:18 If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
Here is a little more Scripture for you . John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John 1:1 Tells us that "The Word was god" in John 1:14 it says "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us ! " then it talks about how we beheld his "glory" .. let me add this .. In Isaiah (which is the Old Testament) 42:8 , It says " i am the Lord: that is my name: and my 'glory' will i not give to another ~ and in 1 Corinthians 2:8 is says " which none of the princes of this world knew: for had that known it, they would not have crucified the 'Lord of glory'. They would not have crucified Jesus if they knew that he was god wrapped in flesh! Let me add 1 Timothy 3:16 .. "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit,soon of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world,received up into *glory* " !!
Exodus 3:14 - And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
John 8:24 - I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that *I AM HE*, ye shall die in your sins.
* Act 2:38* Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of *Jesus Christ* for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
