    Jacob standing before Isaac answering as Esau prefigures the church before the Father. No person can stand before God in his own name and hope to gain God's favor. The believer stands before God the Father and answers in Jesus' Name because that is the only name in which God forgives sinful man. All man [and woman] must be clothed in Jesus' righteouness, washed in His blood to qualify for glory.
