    Merry Christmas!
"And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all." ( I Corinthians 12:6)

There are some boats called "Lakers," and others called "Salties." The "Lakers" which are to big to fit through locks can only ply the waters of the lakes. They have a function, many are massive freighters carrying thousands of pounds of tonnage; but because of their size they are unable to reach the ocean.

The "Salties" are the boats that sail the oceans. Many of these may also sail the Great Lakes because they are also small enough to fit through the locks.

Most ships are either "liners" are "chartered" (tramps).

The liners have a specific route with specific ports. They go from one destination to the next regularly. Whether an ocean liner or an air liner, they carry many people or goods from one point to another. (ex. Washington to New York; New York to Chicago)

Chartered boats (or planes) do not have set schedules or destinations. They can be chartered to go wherever someone needs or wants to go. Someone may charter a plane to take them into remote jungle areas. Someone may charter a boat to take them somewhere at the exact time they want to go.

God has diversities of operations. Some may be freighters locked to the lakes. Others may be "Salties" sailing the oceans. Still others may sail both ocean and lakes.

God has "liners" and He has "tramps."

There are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
