MR.Lydon! Your post indicates in the third paragraph that you or we do the list you enumerated. Hence eternal bliss results. I find this to be in disagreement with the Bible. Consider Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Joh 5:40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
Here it is evident that Jesus is the source of life. Not me, but His power saves me.
Then we have Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Rom 3:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
How many people are righteous?
To sum up, salvation is only to be found in Jesus. You and I are living in this 3 dimensional world and cannot see the spiritual battle going on between Christ and Satan. It is the gift of God that we understand the amount we do, because Satan certainly does not want us to know what he's up to at all. God gives us plenty of information, but we must study the Word comparing scripture with scripture to find gems of truth. Remember Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. How come it isn't possible to decieve the elect. Because they are studying the Word, understand prophecy, know exactly what events have transpired and what must still happen before Jesus comes in great power to claim the earth.
