    vs.77 is a continuation of thought of vs. 75 76. In vs. 77 David is crying out to God for his life, "Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I might live ". David knew that every sin deserves the death penalty. Lamentations 3:22 states, it 's of the LORD 'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
