1 John 5:7 as it appears in the KJV and the NKJV referring to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and also as it appears in the other versions, without reference to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, does not alter the fact that Jesus told his disciples to baptise people in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit the triune God . Similarly , it does not alter the statements made by Jesus concerning the fact that He and the Father are one, and, for example, that he who has seen the Son has seen the Father. Furthermore, the prophecy in Isaiah referers to Jesus as Emmanuel, or "God with us. " Also, in Genesis, for example, God is quoted as referring to Himself as "Us. " There are many other Biblical references that pass the test of God being God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, without necessarily using the word "trinity. " It would be wise therefore, not to dare to cause believers to doubt the truth about the triune God, and not lead those searching for the truth astray.
