For example, when a sponge is immersed into water, it is inundated with the water as the water moves into the sponge. Likewise, when you were immersed into Christ, you were inundated with Christ as the Spirit of Christ moved into you. This gift is given at salvation so that you may take from this inexhaustible provision for the rest of your life. Water baptism illustrates this wonderful reality.
