Part 2 of 2 I have read were some scholars saying that an offering is thought to be both grain and animal. Some scholars say a sacrifice is just animal and that it is burnt. So if we were to conclude with this, then it would be that Cain did not give his first fruits. His offering to God was not done well. If you recall the scripture, God further stated that ..and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. What happened after God made this statement? Cain sinned. He killed his brother Abel.
