    For me personally, Proverbs magnified my own sins. Sins that I sometimes forget about it or become numb to. Sins that I don 't like to think of as sinful. I think the thing about sinful living is it is often hard to distinguish. If sin and holiness were black and white easily identified the world would not be in the shape it is. Reading Proverbs and learning about who God is brings sin into focus. It 's like putting on a pair of glasses for someone with bad eyesight.
