    After becoming a Christian, you have changed your ways and are no longer "in the world". So the ones that you used to follow along with think you are strange and talk bad about you because you no longer want to do the things that you used to do with them.God has our back if we stick with Him and no need to be ashamed of God, He will take care of us.
