why does Peter say in Ch 1 verse 3 begotten us AGAIN

It's the same here in 1 Peter 1:3 as is in John 3:1-7 begat us again, born again ,,, it's the physical birth into these flesh bodies.

When we receive Christ we then become of A (New Nature)

Hi Robert. The word in Greek refers to 'begetting again or begetting into a new life'. I suppose the thought is as expressed by our Lord in John 3:1-7 in His encounter with Nicodemus & also again referred to by Peter in 1 Peter 1:23, where "born again" is used to denote that we were born once (physically) & the second time (spiritually). Thus, those who have come to Christ in faith have had two births, hence being "begotten again" (a second time).
