I am a bit confused because Jude (Paul to Jude) begins with addressing the saints but reverts in the middle to recognizing the fallen angels and the comparison to Caine. Is this for saints to question their attachment to the flesh and question the percentage of their belief? For I know we are all filthy rags striving for holiness and greater use of our spiritual language. Are we then judged by others besides Christ (10,000); is this the cloud of witnesses? The new testement is more difficult than the old, I believe to interpret.

Your spirit wii day Ahhh when you purchase your first Reference KJV Bible; with Center of each page, Reference columns. A serious student will be glad they got it. Look for the tiny abc notes within the scriptures that signal you there is more info on that passage, or a prophesy (fulfilled) by the life of Jesus.

Look at one and decide if this is something you can use in daily studies,

On this website you can highlight a scripture (turns yellow) in the SEARCH BOX (on the red link page)

I suppose what you are saying is that all the earlier Pauline Epistles and writings started with these type of salutations. Since God's Word is inerrant; technically Jude was stating His original plan for the Epistle before the Lord inspired him to write on these other matters. This would; therefore make us assume that some grounding in these basic doctrines were already understood to some extent since deeper matters were discussed.

It should be noted here that this book primarily doesn't ask us to test ourselves to see if we are in the faith; but it asks us to examine the doctrines of those who creep in unaware spreading heresy. Only those knowing the truth would care enough to discern error. The pattern here is much like in ancient Israel. The spiritual forces of darkness were always trying to seduce those who were following the God of Israel from the beginning; despite God's clear warnings against the pagan practices and deliverance from pagan nations experienced by Moses and his followers. These wicked nations; when transgressions came to the full would be judged.

Our God is a jealous God; and will not tolerate idolotry; which in some capacity was overlooked in the O.T. times. The warnings against the spirits of disobedience who affected the corrupt seed of Nephilim and their descendants; and the affect of demons on people such as in Sodom to commit perverse actions is always tied in (i.e. spiritual with physical adultery). Satan will use the Word of God to bolster all false practices by infiltrating the church. He also uses control through authority and those who men will follow and women who are not firm in the truth. We are warned about tares that will spread false doctrines to entice people to fall away; but those who do were never truly with God in the first place. Eventually all true children of God hear His voice and also they will not follow another but run away. We are to guard the flock with diligence as leaders in the church.

This written to people who are to be preachers by Jude; he was in Palestine to the Hebrew Christians both to those in Palestine and those dispersed.1 chapter but covers a whole range, goes all the way back to Enoch to end of this dispensation of time.

appr. date 41-46 AD, CHRIST crucified in 28 ad would put this writing around 15 yrs after CHRIST so he would certainly likely to have 1st hand witness of his half brother CHRIST and the authority to rebuke the evils he speak of. If Jude was of age 30 for instance he would have spent at least 15 yrs with CHRIST

Half brother of CHRIST and brother of James the lesser the author of James whom both CHRIST say are brethren(brothers) Mat 13:55; Mark 6:3, Act 15:13, Gal 2:9, Gal 1:19

Whole of Jude warns us of evil spirits and fallen Angels that Enoch spoke out against .

Jude 1:4-Fallen angels Gen 6:1,2,3 and Satan denied CHRIST and have ever sense and sentenced to judgement for denying CHRIST. .

evil spirits that possesses those who allow it; even heads of Christian churches to deceive the people. Those who deny CHRIST, the SON of GOD, Emanuel-GOD with us denying HE is of the trinity, GOD head who died and rose 3 days later for 40 days appeared to many and is historical accounts of HIS marks and resurrection. scripture lawyers and not followers of JESUS CHRIST the savoir. Gen 6:4 Jude 1:6 they left their first estate- their own principality and place of dwelling which was in darkness; are now in a bottomless pit in chains of darkness-evil spirits, where they cannot sire anymore giants are released for 5 months to pick up where they left off in days of Noe, when the 2 witnesses they kill in the arena and they rise 3 days later are instantly blotted out of existence at the sight and hand of GOD at CHRIST 2nd appearance where all knees will bow.
