    Dear Friends,

I want to thank you for your prayers for my mother, Joan, who has been in the hospital these past two weeks with sepsis.

Yesterday, she took a downturn and Doctors said that death is near. All but one of my 9 siblings have spent days with here at the hospital on rotation these past two weeks, so we have all had many hours with her, which is a real blessing.

She made it through the night, but my hope is that she passes soon, within hours, as everyone here has spent their last times with her last night and this morning. One of my brothers is still in Hawaii getting things together to come home.

I am at peace with her going. I told her yesterday, though she was semi-conscious, that she will soon go to be with Jesus and that the angels are happy waiting for that moment. My husband and I prayed over her. My brother and I sang Amazing Grace over her.

I would just ask that you would pray for my siblings that do not know the Lord and have a very different mindset than those of us who do. There is great division in my family (and this has been for a long time). Pray that we continue to work through Mom's situation together with respect for one another and love.

I am at peace with her eminent death. She has lived a long life of 88 years with very little health problems. She is a strong person and a believer. Earlier in the week, we prayed together the Lord's Prayer. She recalled that by heart. She has been very weak for the whole two weeks and we could not have much conversation due to her discomfort and breathing troubles. But I know that presence and care speaks louder than words sometimes.

    GiGi,

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother! I'm in the middle of writing a musical, and I wrote this sone as a part of it. Let me share it with you:

There's a place where angels live.

A place where saved family live.

And a place where our Savior reigns,

    Where golden streets remain,

And that's where you shall reign.

With broken hearts, we release you.

    Release you to our King!

In time, we will join you,

    And sing forever in Paradise!

But for now, Rest In Peace with the Father.

The pain you were in is finally gone.

The stress you were having is finally away!

No more tears, no more pain,

No more fear, no more sorrow,

    No more remembrance of today!

With broken hearts, we release you.

    Release you to our King!

In time, we will join you,

    And sing forever in Paradise!

But for now, rest in peace with the Father!

And we can't wait to reunite with you!

When we see you at Heavens gate's!

No more tears, no more sorrow,

    No more remembrance of today!

    Oh, friend, our great joy,

You can sleep on right now,

For you're in, Jesus great hands!

    No sickness or pain,

    No sadness of care,

We are on our way to reunite with you there!

    Oh, friend, we love you!

I hope these lyrics I have wrote encourage you during your time of grief and loss! I am praying for you, dear friend!

    Thank you Abigail,

Your song is lovely and comforting. During these past two weeks of Mom being in the hospital, the Holy Spirit kept bringing the song by Chris Rice "Come to Jesus". Yesterday I met with one of my brothers and I sang it with the You Tube video to him. He was blessed.

You are so welcome GiGi! I am just so happy that you have the peace knowing that she is with Jesus now! Praise Jesus! I have a reference to give to you. When you have time to, look up a place called Sight & Sound Theatres. It is a place where the Bible comes to life! They take Bible stories and make them come to life on stage! You'll love them, and I know that they'd encourage you during this hard time. Message me back on here once you know if you decided to buy them or not. I love them, and they were a real encouragement to me when I lost my first child, Kathryn, from early birth back in 2010. Kathryn died in late February, and we went to their newest production at the time, Joseph in early March. I cried all the way home, just knowing how good God is! Their production of Joseph that we went to is still available to buy on their site. But now, my husband John and I have been married for 15 years, and have 7 beautiful children, David, Ellie, Kristen, Ruth, Joseph, Noah, and Melissa (and another on the way, whom we've named Moses,) and we have went to all of the next/previous shows S&S has done.

Remember, don't ever give up on this and God. He is holding you close all the way! After we lost Kathryn, I could really feel the Father holding us close to Him, reminding us to trust in Him all the way, and look at how many children we have now!

    Keep trusting in Him!

    In Christ Jesus,

What a lovely reply. Thank you. I am the fourth of ten children born to my Mom and Dad. They had 10 in 19.5 years. A busy life for both of them with my Dad working 2 jobs and odd jobs on top of that and my Mom caring for us, canning, and all of the work involved with day to day family life. I will miss her, just as I miss my Dad. But knowing that they as believers are in God's Presence is such a comfort and great joy!

May God Bless you and your family richly as you raise all of these precious ones. My husband and I have been married 42 years. We have three sons. Each one had serious difficulties at birth or just after. I am not like my Mom, in that my babies were imperiled each time from unexpected circumstances (each circumstances was a different problem) with the last being the most life threatening for my baby. And this last circumstances had a high likelihood of happening again in any other pregnancy. It was a sad time when we realized that we should not have anymore children. But God led us to that decision after months of prayer. We are blessed to have three sons who are now all in there thirties. The oldest just got married last fall at 37 and the other two are not dating anyone at this time. I continue to pray for God to bring to them the best woman for them (and the best for these women in my sons).

Thank you for sharing your mom's last moments. She has given you an eternal gift to you and your many siblings through the example she has lived as a Godly woman. We never know who our own families God has predestined to be among the saved, but continue on with the hope, and don't be discouraged. Peace be with you and your family.

    Thank you Karen.

I pray that I can be light to my siblings that are darkened by unbelief and pagan beliefs. They need Jesus more than anything else.

May God bless and comfort you and all your Mother's family , much love in Christ .

    Thank you Suze,

I am so sorry about the accident with your step dad. that is awful! I understand your anger as there were siblings in my family who did not have my Mom's best interest in mind when pressing their Power of Attorney privileges upon my Mom and family.

But God had the last say for my Mom and over-ruled them. Thankfully.

I will pray for your step dad and your Mom today. May he get the care he needs at this time.
