    Is baptism a command
  • Patrick Corrao - In Reply - 2 years ago
I must disagree with you on the subject of water baptism.

Water baptism was for the nation ol of Israe, who werel under the Law.

Since the Jewish people crucified Jesus,

God has put Israel aside and are cut off until after the Rapture,

they have no way to have their sins forigiven...

    Now ---

Jesus commissioned Apostle Paul to go to the Gentiles while the

other 12 went out to the National of Israel proclaiming Jesus was the true Messiah.

Just think about the simple difference between who were

    Water Baptised and who are

    Spirit Baptised...

    You cannot have both...

I have completed a detailed study on this subject and many others at

    Dear "Patrick Corrao", in Peace.

What are you saying: that we can not get both! It pains me that you have such unbelief in your heart and in the Holy Spirit. So absolutely He is in all hearts who believe in Jesus Christ and what He did at Calvary for all of us.

THERE IS NOTHING OTHER THAN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, THE SPIRIT OF LIGHT, THE SPIRIT OF THE WAY, THE SPIRIT GUIDES US TO THE WHOLE TRUTH. For all wom/men He will lead. In Jesus Name love u in Christ. U may need some milk again in Jesus name.

    Hello Sue!

Yes! Please look at Mark 16:16 " he who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned."

Yes this makes it very plain.

With that said are there exceptios?

Yes! Remember the two that was crucify with Jesus. Remember 1 I had said if you or the son of God save yourself and us. But the other their said Lord remember me. Christ told him he will be with him in his Fathers kingdom. Was he baptized? No. But his faith in Jesus saved him.

Here are more scriptures you can read on the subject.

    Romans 6:4

    Eph. 4:5

    Mark 1:9-10

    John 3:23

    1Peter 2:21

Is it a matter of personal opinion? Yes! But not yours or mine. But is Christ's command.

    Go to John 3:5

"Unless one is horned of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

    Hope this helps my friend.

If you need more let me know.

    God bless my friend.

Baptism was done prior to the crucifixion of Jesus. Once He was crucified our sins were paid for. This is the Rightly Divided Bible teaching. See: The man on the cross who hung near Jesus accepted Him as his Savior. Jesus told him, "Today you will be with me in Paradice." Note, That man had never been Baptized.

Note also that on that day Jesus was not in paradise .

Dear "Donya", in peace, try to understand my not perfect words and gramma.

Don't you think there can be a difference? And hang on a cross next to the Lord Jesus? For in a situation like crucifixion i would think that everyone has reached a stage where they fear for their life, soul and Spirit. I am sure God saves those people whom He has ordained. Anyway, but here we are not talking about being found worthy. We are predetermined. Romans 9:18-19 It is only thanksgiving and humility that we should show to the Almighty God, and wish all the best for all. He who intercedes for all His. Romans 8:27-30

Therefore, when people are baptized, they receive a promise that the whole family will be saved. Acts 16:31-34 Is not it worth baptizing for? :) Got some word from

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

    29

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

    30

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

God bless us in Jesus Name, love u all
