Can someone who has not accepted Jesus make it to heaven?
  • Danielle Abraham - In Reply - 2 years ago
I am sorry to say, the answer is NO! you have to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and believe that Jesus died for you so you can go to live in God's Kingdom. Do you need help with some words to ask Jesus to accept you?
  • Mishael - In Reply - 2 years ago
I know how you feel. I asked the same question when my drug addict brothers died. We will find out when we get to heaven.

So read the passage in Luke 16 verses 20-31. In verse 31, "Moses and the prophets" means the Law and the Prophets who preached repentance and salvation. The Bible.

Every time a person hears the gospel preached and they do not respond; their heart hardens until it's hard like granite.

It might help if you tell other family members that you are willing to pray with them. It helps me.

It's not our good behavior that opens heavens gates. It's if we made a commitment and prayed a prayer.

God writes our names in the Book of Life then.

    Revelation 20:15, 21:27

I will pray that your heart be settled and that you will have courage to witness to those that you love, or don't. Miracles happen every day.

It should be noted that "accepting" Jesus is something the demons do according to James (and rather sarcastically at that). He is feared among them for His authority; but not worshipped as they gave up their rightful place through rebellion that they were created for. Christ is Lord over all creation; as all will bow down before Him. ( Isaiah 45:23). In terms of Savior; all those who are called are chosen. This is in a sense Him "accepting us" as He does into the beloved ( Ephesians 1:6). Even repentance is a gift according to other verses in Acts 11:18 for one example.

If we HAVE heard of Christ; then we can either worship Him and fall on our knees; or reject Him. This is how man understands God based on whether the Holy Spirit has truly done a work in him. Often; though we don't read John 3:16 as something beyond a one time act; it is worded that way though as a continual ongoing process. A true believer; according to Romans goes on to be glorified ( Romans 8:30). Time is infinite with God's perspective; as many things were decided before the foundation of the world. We can see this in Revelation; as well as all will worship the Beast not written in the Book of Life before the foundation of the world ( Rev. 13:8).

If we haven't heard of Him; then surely God will send a dream; vision or missionary as evidenced by many Muslims and others in the world today. Abraham was called and sent away from his pagan origins to the land of Promise by the Lord.

If we truly seek Him; there may be a process but we will find the truth. Romans 1 and Psalm 19 make man without excuse; as clearly in the Creation evidence of Him is seen. In all that we see how short we are of His glory; a tattered fallen Creation; and our need for rescue from inevitable physical death as well as begin to see a righteousness that we cannot obtain or reach in our fleshy nature. Ecclesiastes also states how God has put "eternity in their hearts." ( Ecclesiastes 3:11).

    Hey Benjamin,

I agree with S Spencer and Noel, for those of us who have heard of Jesus and are called and have accepted Jesus as our savior the answer would be no.

I would like to give my understanding; God is a loving God Zephaniah 3:17 God will help and strengthen us Isaiah 41:10 God is just and upright Deuteronomy 32:4 and God is love and merciful Ephesians 2:4.

There are millions of people who lived and died before Jesus first came, and millions who have lived and died since who have never heard who Jesus is and what He offers. What happens to them? Everyone who is alive today and all who have lived in the past has the knowledge of good and evil thanks to the first Adam.

The white throne judgment many teach is only for the lost and unrighteous, my understanding is different. In Revelation 20:11-15 all the rest of the dead is judged, small and great and the books were open, and they were judged from the things written in the books, according to their works. In verse 15 it says this, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire". Along with other scriptures, my understanding is there were some names in the book of life.

God only knows, some scripture gives a clue, People under the law being judged by the law and those who do by nature the things contained in the law not under the law (judged from the things written in the books) Romans 2:12-15, and if the white throne judgment is for lost only, how do we understand these verses, Daniel 12:2 Matthew 25:32-46 John 5:28-29 Acts 24:14-15.

    God bless,

    Hi Benjamin.

Good question, and the answer is no. I will share a few of many scripture that testifies Jesus Christ is the only way.

John 14:6. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

John 10:7-9. Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

All that ever came before me are "thieves and robbers:" but the sheep did not hear them.

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

( THE THIEVES AND ROBBERS IS JUDAISM OR ANY OTHER RELIGION. )

Acts 4:10-12. Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Here's what and how we're accepting.

    Romans 10:8-10. But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This is not a mere "Profession". It's a genuine change of heart!

The Holyspirit convicts a sinner of sin drives them to repentance, falling on Christ for mercy.

    God bless.

No. Without Christ there's no atonement for the sinner sins. See John 14:6; Ephesians 2:13; 8-9; Romans 5:18; 4:25.
