    How to pray
  • Gigi - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Hello Genesis Charles

Adam and Chris have give you good Scriptures to help you.

When Jesus was teaching the disciples how to pray in the chapters Adam gave you, Jesus didn't intend for us to rattle off this prayer without thinking. But to use it as a daily prayer or a pattern that we can imitate.

I have taken this prayer and journaled what each phrase means and prayed it in a more expanded way from my journal.

This gave my a deeper and richer mindset in my prayer life. Now, if I pray this prayer as Jesus instructed, I do so sincerely and with added words that reflect what I need to say to God in relation to the phrases.

    This prayer is instructive to

Us and can be the beginning of our time in pray and then we move on to the petitions we know to lift up

To God in that time frame.

We can pray to God in a variety of ways. As s believer seeks to have a prayerful heart, the Holy Spirit helps us grow on our praying. It is never just us who prays, but the Spirit prays in and with us.

    How wonderful is that.

Hello, Jesus answered this question in Matthew 6 and Luke 11. Consider taking a look at those.

you just talk to God. You thank him for the blessings he has given you, you ask for forgiveness for your sins, you pray for your loved ones, you ask him of the thing you need/want :)

here is some Bible verses about prayer:

Philippians 4:6 - "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

John 15:7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Jeremiah 33:3 - Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

psalms 34:17 - The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

    I hope this helped! :)

    God bless.
