    Oops Peterson

God is wholly Other than us. Theologically this is termed God's Transcendence. The bible speaks of this as God as being High and Lifted up.

Another theological term is that God is unfathomable- that we cannot know all there is to know about Him or have full understanding of his mind, knowledge, or workings.

God speaking to Job speaks to this.

Another theological term used is that God's ways and wisdom are unsearchle- beyond our ability to comprehend or reason.

Yet, God's plan from before Creation was for us to know He exists through creation

Romans 1 says this and to know him personally as He reveals Himself-as He did with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac , Jacob, Moses, and the prophets or in the history of the Israelites.

On top of that, God wants us to be restored to Him, rescue us from sin by knowing Jesus

And live in us by the Holy Spirit. And-on top of that He wants us to know Hebus powerful and will resurrect us bodily and He will bring us to dwell with Him in a place of perfection forever.

    Amazing!

God did not want there to be a gulf between us due to His Transcendence. He wanted to bridge that gulf in His Son and to do that was done by the Son incarnating in human flesh to be human like us while still being God.

    Amazing.

Even in eternity we will not figure all of God out. But we will know Him in perfect relationship desire the vast difference between God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Yet the Son incarnated in Flesh

Will be our Savior forever and we will be children of God forever.

I am always humbled by the way God condescended to interact with us and love us.

    So thankful!
