Yes I have a question about Baptism. So a family member of mine got baptized Septmeber and I am really embarrassed about it because it was just for show and has not taken it seriously at all.And have not given a testimony of goodness of the Lord. He Have not told anyone and really seems not to care. As for me I love The Lord with all my heart. I do not play church or with the word of God. I have been praying that the Holy Spirt would fall upon him the family member. So I need to know would it be wrong to not to pray for this person when , I know he not going to saved either just like the others in my family.it seems to me the more I pray in, with and by the spirit the devil is always in the middle. I refuse to be ashamed of the gospel in eyes of my family. Please advise Thank you.

Leslie, continue to pray for him and also, invite him to read the Scriptures with you. That may help him move nearer to the Lord. God is at work when people get baptized. He will continue to work in this person's life day by day. Don't give up on him. God knows His heart and is needed for him to turn more whole-heartedly to Himself. He may have "baby" faith right now. Be present for him and supportive so that he will be willing to ask questions that he might feel embarrassed or timid to ask. You are in his life for a reason such as this.

Hi Leslie There are a lot of people who go through the actions but in their hearts[there's the key]

didn't mean what they confessed. Also perhaps they were doing it just so no one would bother them

the point is continue to pray and believe no matter what. We STAND and stay faithful and we plant we

water but God gives the increase. I know of several people who went through all the ceremony so to

speak and all there actions dictate unbelief. That's on them God Knows We don't force the word we

    speak the truth in Love.

Try not to let the unbelief of others affect your walk, or fly spiritually high like an eagle

and lovingly deal with the buzzards. God Bless

I wasn't saved when I did astrological charts on my nephew and niece. My brother-in-law (an asst. pastor was enraged, went to church, confessed his anger in front of the whole church. He asked the congregation to pray and fast ONE day for me. I wasnt told he did this.

My life began to unravel. Everything that represented security to me was "taken away". I did not know why. I did more prescription drugs with alcohol. I thought a lot about suicide. Every morning I'd wake up to a voice that spoke "if you don't stop this, you'll leave your son without his parent. He was all I had! Things got worse. I prayed for help. To who? My son was all I had left. My home was full of spirits.

God had peeled me like an onion; Layer upon layer until all my defenses were removed.

Then the Lord came to me in a vision. I saw Jesus. I saw my sin. I was shown everything. I had only one thing. I was convinced fully God is real and alive. I took his hand and I was delivered from everything!

God honored those prayers said for me. He honored those who turned their plates upside down and fasted for someone they didn't even know. I wasn't even told about it until years later!

The life of all deluded, fakers, liars; are worth one day of violent faith, shaking the throne of God for the salvation of this man through prayers.

Don't give up. Get some church members, praying Grandmothers, to pray and fast; one day. Just pray for him to see in the mirror__ the truth behind his eyes staring back at him.

What you are fighting is a religious spirit. It's the intercessors that will destroy its works.

It was Jesus's love that brought you here today. Think of a wall with a hole in it. Standing in that gaping hole is what we do. Listen to Charles Capps, Authority of the Believer, on youtube. Make notes.

Hello Leslie. I was sad to read that account of your family member but was heartened by your clear strong stand in the faith of Jesus Christ & concern for your family members. Whatever the reason for him getting baptised, the point of it is that he must first know Christ as his Saviour & water baptism that follows shows his acknowledgement & identification with Jesus in death, burial & resurrection.

You no doubt have shared with him on this matter & whatever his response, you will just have to leave it, since baptism being done for the wrong reasons has no meaning & will fool no one. Your concern & prayer for him, with your Christian life & witness, may in time provoke him to conviction & taking the Lord seriously. So you must continue to pray for him according to the burden on your heart & Spirit's leading, & standing on the Word of God when Satan tries to intrude or discourage you. Stay strong & true to the Gospel, which is indeed "the Power of God (leading to) salvation" ( Romans 1:16). But in all things, exercise godly love, faith, patience & meekness before all ( 1 Timothy 6:11, as given to Timothy by Paul) & let God deal with all your family in His Own way. You may be the only light from God that they will ever see & He's placed you there at this time for that very reason. Be encouraged & blessed in your witness.
