    Hi Wayne,

It looks like T. Levis already shared scriptures about it.

The concept of 3 in 1 is challenging as we as humans lack examples in our world that is similar to that. I believe we have a hard time comprehending anything not in our earthly experience. But we trust what God's word says. Since it says "these three are one" in 1 John 5:7-8 we trust what it says. Some people nitpick and question "but HOW 'one' are they?" and some argue that they are more separate than one, or vice versa. I think as soon as people start reinterpreting the Bible to fit what they want to believe, they are being deceived and are deceiving others. It takes faith and trust to believe the Bible, so in 1 John 1:1 where it says the "Word was God" there is no question what that means, because in verse 14 it says the Word was Jesus. Jesus = God. But same with Father = God, and Holy Spirit = God. 3 are one. God the Father is most commonly referred to as 'God' and I believe this is part of the source of confusion, as well as Jesus is called 'Lord' and Lord also meaning God. Sometimes God is plural, like 'we' in Genesis 1:26.

To what extent are they 'one' and to what extent are they 'three'- we don't know that. It could be like 3 personalities of 1, or it could be like an orange where you have the skin, pulp, and seeds, but each is still an orange. I don't know the right analogy, but I trust what God says in the Bible to be true and do not trust humans who try to twist it into something else.

    God bless...
