  • GRACE_ambassador {ChrisE} watered-down Doctrine? on 1 Corinthians 4 - 2 years ago
Ephesians 4:5 ...ONE Baptism... Precious friends, why is that God's 'Sound' Doctrine, Today, Under God's Amazing GRACE, is being 'Changed' Into TWO baptismS? I believe "God is Not the author of All of the following 'Confusion/Division'" 1 Corinthians 14:33 over water baptism - 10 'Different' kinds of 'traditions' in religious denominations - and the question for "TWO baptismS 'water' adherents" is, which of the following do you Sincerely believe is God's reason you should 'practice this tradition' today, Under GRACE?:

    1) believe AND be baptized {i.e. immersion to contact their Christ's blood}?

    2) immersion with a symbolic interpretation?

    3) immersion ONCE in the "name of Jesus?

    4) immersion THRICE in the "name of the Triune Godhead?

    5) immersion {whether once or thrice} for "membership" in their traditional assembly?

    6) sprinkling water on babies inducting them into religion washing away their original sin?

    7) sprinkling water on babies inducting them into some covenant?

    8) sprinkling water on babies inducting them into their parent's custody that they promise to raise them right? {into Mass Confusion?}

    9) sprinkling water on babies, admitting that their ritual is UNscriptural, but "we do it anyway, because it is OUR tradition!"?

    10) pouring water onto babies or adults for Whatever traditional reason religion "can come up with"?

Precious friends, to date no one has shown Plainly And Clearly, From Scriptures, which one

of these traditions God Commands for those of us who believe in The BLOOD And The Resurrection of The LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Would not this 'Confusion' be from the enemy, and "Not from God" 1 Corinthians 14:33 ?

Why are very few 'interested' in "studying This Issue Rightly Divided" in order to find The Real Truth From God's HOLY Word?

Thus, I believe and have spoken - I was once a 'proud denominationalist' but God Caused me to repent, When He Led me to HIS Truth.

    1 Corinthians 14:33 2 Timothy 2:15 Ephesians 4:5 1 Corinthians 12:13

Precious friends, thanks for your Valuable? input - did they help 'Solve the Confusion'?:

"the effect of religious not quite rightly divided thinking, communism started after Carl Marx read" Reading Carl Marx does not Solve the reigning 'Confusion' of water today...

"there's only 1 simple option: to be baptized acts 2:38 Isaiah 7:16"

Again, does not 'Solve the Confusion,' but assumes water is "God's ONE Baptism" which IS in effect today, OR: 'Assumes' "Christ baptizes WITH The Holy Ghost" as HIS 'ONE' baptism today? Assumptions don't 'Solve Confusion'...

"obedience and submission, two key words that are not often used these days" Again, another 'assumption' water is in effect, and 'implying obey it or else'... Again, Not 'Solved'...

"a story yesterday that people are flocking to be water baptized...We have the Holy Spirit to help us with the New Birth. Ask Him." Is a 'story' God's Sound Doctrine? Yes, TRUE, The Holy Spirit IS The Teacher, ask Him, 'And' Be Taught By "comparing Scriptural 'Evidence' With ALL SCRIPTURAL 'Evidence,' Correct? Or, just wait to 'hear an Audible Voice' for an answer???

"such an easy command of Christ and expected practice in the apostolic church times to obey. Perhaps many bristle at the thought of any sort of rite or formality in Christian practice." Again, assumptions and accusations bring us No Closer To God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided, 'Solving the Confusion' of 10 DIFFERENT 'traditions/rites/practices' of Confused christendom...

to be continued in Part II Conclusion...

Part II God's ONE Baptism Is NOT 'water,' But, IS 'Spiritual'

Conclusion, the question for "2/3 baptismS 'water' adherents" was Not 'answered,' but, God's 'Answer' From ALL Of HIS Scriptural 'Evidence' IS:

"There is 'ONE' Baptism" Ephesians 4:5 1 Corinthians 12:13 ('Spiritual' NOT water...): Link

    ( 2 Timothy 2:15 Romans 16:25 Ephesians 3:9 = Grace/Mystery fellowship {Romans - Philemon}, For ALL "to SEE," today,? )

Precious friends, Please Be 'Richly' Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, And EDIFIED In The LORD JESUS CHRIST, And In HIS Word Of TRUTH, Rightly Divided ('Approved' Unto HIM!)

    2 Timothy 2:15

If "dividing the word" means ignoring scripture like this, then count me out!

    Jesus states the following scripture:

    John 3:5

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Please take note: Jesus doesn't say you just need to be "baptized in the Spirit", HE says " Except a man be born of Water and of the Spirit"

Jesus submitted to water baptism, showing us that even HE humbled himself in undergoing this action. As Christ Followers who are we to balk at water baptism? In my opinion, to do so, is to ignore Jesus, and even worse, by not accepting water baptism, you may actually be putting yourself above Jesus. Jesus not only told us what is expected of us, he also showed us what is expected!

Baptism by water is so easy to do, this should be a no brainer!

    God Bless.

Bro Dan Why does the bible say Jesus was Baptised in water. Also what is rightly dividing the word to stand approved of God mean. Trust me this is not to argue or to disagree but to get someone elses opinion. My perspective is I always learn either what to adhere to or not, not to judge, that's not my Job. I share because I love to not because I'm trying to shove,

or prove what I understand about the Word.

    Hi Bro Rick,

Regarding the reason that Jesus was baptized, you may want to ask him:) because we both know he didn't need to! Personally, I believe that one of the most important reason's was to fulfill the scriptures, and show others that he was in fact the Son of God.

    Matthew 3:17

"And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

This was one of many actions that Jesus took while on this earth to show us, and guide us, in what is right and to set a good Christian example for all of us to follow.

The "rightly divided question" concerns a verse used only one place in the bible. 2 Timothy 2:15.

I understand this scripture is directed (primarily if not entirely) at Timothy by Paul regarding how Timothy should endeavor to teach the Church.

Currently, there are many people saying that they use this verse and apply it directly - to help them to read and understand the Bible. Based on their understanding of this verse, they say that we are to "rightly divide" scripture in order to know which of the scriptures are meant for the Jews and which are meant for the Church. If it works for them thats fine. The problem that I see with this process is that many people have many different ways, to divide the scripture, and who is really right? I believe much scripture is being disregarded, and even twisted to fit their belief, which could be a big mistake. The result of dividing scripture can be easily seen by looking at all of the various denominations of Christians, ie: Baptists, Mormons, Jehovah Witness's, and on and on. All of them think their "rightly divided" scripture is the superior one.

My belief as a Christ follower, is to read the bible entirely (I don't add or subtract) and pray for the Holy Spirit to teach and guide me. I'm comfortable with my current understanding, and I will change as the spirit may move me.

    God Bless.

I think the amazing thing about the Lord's baptism was the way all three Persons of the Trinity affirmed the moment!

Bro Dan I also am not a denomination christian I'm just a follower of Christ, thanks for your reply. God Bless
  • GRACE_ambassador {ChrisE} world Conformity - In Reply - 2 years ago
Dear precious friend, assuming you are right, AND we are "NOT to be 'Conformed' to the world Romans 12:2, let's ask A Very Important about Confused christendom's 'mode' of water BY IMMERSION.

All young and Middle-Aged women who are Christians, please advise, IF this is OK/Approved

    Unto God:

How is "immersion of God's Precious WOMEN" as a rite/ritual/'Condemned' By CHRIST 'Tradition' Any DIFFERENT than a "WET t-shirt Contest" at the local UNgodly liquor establishment???

Of Course, there are Many MORE questions about This Important Doctrine of God, but I digress for now...

    Good day...
  • Gigi - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Grace,

There are modest ways for women and girls to be baptized in water. It is offensive to allude that it is like a wet T-shirt contest. And in the same vein, their are modest ways for men to be baptized in water so that their private areas are not accentuated.

ChrisE Given the context of this comment sight that was a way out of order and no respect comparison we don't stoop to the worlds ways to teach or share.
  • GiGI - In Reply - 2 years ago
Concur, this is such an easy command of Christ and expected practice in the apostolic church times to obey. Perhaps many bristle at the thought of any sort of rite or formality in Christian practice. But I think it is perhaps a test of our love for Jesus when He said, "If you love me you will obey my commandments." The sharing of the Lord's Supper is a rite and formality, but also a command of Jesus. We should be happy to obey the Lord we love and profess.
  • Water Baptism - In Reply - 2 years ago
I read a story yesterday that people are flocking to be water baptized.

In the Book of Acts, because Israel and other places are desert, there was no water to be baptized in. I suppose a cup of water could've been used, but water was scarce. It might mean life or death. Baptism is the first act of obedience.

We need to remember that the thief on the Cross wasn't baptized. Yet Jesus told him that he would be with Jesus in Paradise that very day!

We have the Holy Spirit to help us with the New Birth. Ask Him.

Yes Bro Dan , obedience and submission , two key words that are not often used these days .
  • Bro dan - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Dear Sister Sacha,

    Amen. A very powerful observation!

I can be very hardheaded and stubborn as anybody. I continue to pray for the obedience and submission that you talk about!

    God Bless.
  • English Sacha - In Reply - 2 years ago
Oh me too Bro Dan , I'm as stubborn as a mule in this world , I'm the epitome of passive resistance , there's only one person on earth that can tell me what to do and he knows how to wrangle me , it's ok it's my hubby ,but when it comes to God I trust Him implicitly . He has always been specific about how we can approach Him , I'm sure you know this from the Old , He doesn't change and had given us instructions about how we may approach Him through Christ , by following Christ , by doing ( showing our faith through obedience ) , if Abraham was prepared to show his faith by obedience in sacrificing Isaac why can't we do as we are told . Does our faith exceed Abraham's ? I wish mine did ! Are we bold enough to think ourselves better than Abraham ? Nope , not me . If you can't be faithful in the little things ?

    Hello,

I believe there's only 1 simple option: to be baptized. This shall be done according to the example in the Bible which were people old enough to know right from wrong and to believe, and they were immersed in water. I suppose someone could try to complicate this, but I don't believe following the example in the Bible is complicated.

    acts 2:38, Isaiah 7:16

Hi ChrisE Here's the effect of religious not quite rightly divided thinking, communism started after Carl Marx read

the gospels and that's what he got out of it. He also made the statement religion meaning man made is the opiate of

the people no wonder in Mathew 15:1-9 sounds like whats going on today good looking hypocritical no genuine love

doctrines of men with no effect. Gods Word correctly used always has an impact, to the unbeliever terror for the believer

awe and respect! God Bless Our Genuine love heals broken hearts.
