This could be useful. "You (us) shall know the truth, and the truth sets us free." I'm thinking that: Not people, but spirits are on assignment in a room dedicated to Gods Word: the King James Bible.

So like last night I was about to go to bed, and the Holy Spirit said "contention".

If we read Psalms enough, we will see that King David occasionally was victim temporarily to sadness, anger at enemies, King Sauls relentless pursuit and many other issues. We work this stuff out by prayer and sometimes speaking the truth in the spirit of love, for the brethren.

Here is the origin of the spirit of contention. We need to recognize it's been busy in here for weeks. Lord, make me an instrument of Your Peace. Amen. Let's let the Spirit of Christ rule over our hearts.

    Spirit of Jealousy: Manifestations:

Revenge-Spite, Anger-Rage, Jealousy, Hatred, Cruelty, Strife, Contention, Competition, Envy, Cause Divisions Scriptures; murder

    ( Genesis 4:4-6; 37:3,4,8; Proverbs 6:34; 10:12; 13:10; 14:16-17,29-30; 22:24-25; 27:4; 29:22-23; Numbers 5:14,30; 1 Thessalonians 4:8; Song of Solomon 8:6; Galatians 5:19)

Roots... "The Works of the Flesh," Galatians 5:19-21.

"By their fruits you will know all men," Matthew 7:20. According to Matthew 6:10; 11:12; 12:29; 16:18; 18:18; 28:18

    BIND= Spirit of jealousy

    LOOSE= Love of God, 1 Corinthians 13; Ephesians 5:2

Testimony: as a kid I lived in a household divided some ways. Me and my Dad were placid and peaceful. He was full-blood Cajun. I was a negotiator. My sister, the silent one. The others were fighting lots. Dynamics awful to live in. But you learn skills that are useful later on.

Michael the Archangel and Satan (a fired Archangel) contended for the body of Moses. Michael said, "THE LORD REBUKE THEE." Satan let go.

We have to recognize it for what it is. Let's all pray for these Comment Rooms. Lift them up and ask the Lord to bless them; attract unbelieving seekers of salvation in Peace.

Neumon That is correct he hates sin in the context of rebellion and its operation rebellion. also God Created lucifer who at one time was a perfect angel until rebellion was found in Him and he became evil. Just keeping the record straight.

God is perfect love and pure light and in the epistle of 1 John it say God is Light and in him is no darkness at all, a being who is pure cannot create a being impure. Its like man he was pure but became impure when man broke Gods word same thing different part of creation.

Its amazing to me how many things are blamed or attributed to God that in his word in the correct context He Does Not Do.

Brother David, if God cannot create anything that is not pure, why did man sin, if he was pure he wouldn't have sinned.

    He was not pure:

Romans 8:20 For the creature was MADE SUBJECT TO VANITY...... not pure.

Earl, word of caution" the gnostics and docetist believed that the demi-urge (creator) was evil and created the world and man corrupted.

However, in the beginning it says that God saw all that He had made and said that it was very good.

Adam and Eve were created free of sin.

Hello, sharing differences of opinions on spiritual matters is not being contentions, per say. It is the heart attitude that determines if a post is being contentious or not. For myself and so many on here, we have hearts of love for one another and a desire to bring clearer understanding of God and His Word.

Be blessed, and if you are bothered by the back and forth of some conversation, just skip over them if your spirit says to do so.

Doesn't the scripture says to us be perfect for I AM perfect? If God is perfect yet a jealous God, also vengeful & hates those who hate him yet shows mercy, shall we not be the same way? Also the scriptures shows us that God has killed whole nations of people. Is this character to be imitated in mankind? If not, why does God allow wars & causalities? The scripts says something of our selfishness. But isn't God a entity that will not share it's glory with another?
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
Being perfect often means being holy or complete. So, I guess doing some kind of search on the word in the context of the passage might be helpful to discover what is meant here.

God is Love. Four times God is mentioned saying Hate:

    Revelation 2:6; 2:15

    Proverbs 6:16-19

    Romans 9:13

In none of those did God say he hates the world.

Hardly anyone bats an eyelash when someone tries to estimate how many unborn humans have been scraped out of their mothers wombs. I mean abort. Miscarriages are different.

    MILLIONS?

In the Book of Job ch 1, we see it is SATAN that causes, chaos, killing storms, loss of almost everyone in his family. Then "friends" show up and show Job all his faults and failings (ACCUSER). God didn't blame Job. He abundantly replaced all Job lost, and healed him.

PEOPLE start wars. Israel always asked God to bless their conflicts and wars; and they won. He blessed their faith.

God is not involved in carnage on the earth so far.

There is a day of judgement coming. Most people have an inner knowledge of that. God consciousness. ROMANS 1, says mankind is without excuse if they deny Gods existence.

He gets blamed for all the bad stuff. Never mind bad choices, carelessness, failure to maintain safety measures, etc.

God stands willing to forgive every human for sins if they will turn to Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Casual Christians have no idea what they are missing out on. Jesus will give you his spirit through the Holy Spirits indwelling. Sitting on the throne of your heart. He speaks to your spirit. You hear his voice. He's not barking orders at us. He says I love you! I chose you to be my own treasured child.

Watch a DVD, The Passion of the Christ. Does Jesus appear a mean dictator hanging on the Cross in shreds?

All the wars in the Mideast: lost lives are because Ishmael's descendants wrecked their lands and consumed their wealth on short term happiness. God blessed Ishmael more. They're rich.

But they COVET what God gave Israel. A tiny 9 mile wide strip of land. Look at all the blood spilt there!

Matthew 24; Luke 21 Everyone has been WARNED, 2000+ years. Mishael

  • God is Love; not Hate. He just hates Sin. All sin CAN BE forgiven. - In Reply - 2 years ago
I said that verse in my post. That scripture has been around for thousands of years.

How many of the 10 commandments can we each quote from heart? Exo.20

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

    Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter.

Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

    Thou shalt not kill.

    Thou shalt not commit adultery.

    Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. (lies)

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

The point was that God does hate. Furthermore, that evil was created by God.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
Yup, know them by heart. And have studied what they mean and what Jesus meant when he said our righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees, who outwardly kept the commandments, but in their hearts were hatred, lust, etc. that Jesus said was breaking these commandments.
