Precious friend, Good Question About God's Great Handiwork!:

Day 1: light divided from darkness Genesis 1:3-5

Day 3: earth to bring forth vegetation Genesis 1:9-13

Day 4: lights in heaven; a greater light {sun?} to rule the day

and a lesser light {moon?} to rule the night Genesis 1:14-19

Bible answer: "Yes," God Created the vegetation Before the sun!

Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!

    Judge,

Day and night, light and darkness have other meanings other than we think of in this physical world. John 1:4-5 Romans 13:12. In day three, grass, herbs, fruit trees came forth growing and full of life in preparation of the other life that was to come for to be food. God is light as we see in Revelation 21:23-25 and Revelation 22:5 when all is new there will be no night, no moon, or sun, the glory of God will be the lighten and Jesus will be the light.

The sun and moon and the stars were placed in the firmament (heaven) on day four after the plants on this earth were thriving in day three so, what we hear things cannot grow without the sun or the earth would be a ball of ice, leave out the glory of God and His only begotten Son, the light that darkness/unbelievers comprehend not.

    God bless,

    Amen Brother Ronald.

John 1:4-9. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

    Thank you, brother S Spencer,

Light and darkness are not two halves that co-exist and are mutually beneficial. Darkness is fully dependent on the absence of light, as in the beginning, and there is no life in darkness. Light can never be defined as the absence of darkness; light will continue to be light regardless of the amount of darkness. There is no fellowship with light with darkness. Our lack of knowledge, understanding, being blind or deaf to the Holy Spirit can lead to unrighteousness and sin which lies in darkness.

Proverbs 4:18-19 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. 19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Truth can only be seen in the light, and this light is life, eternal life, may it shine brightly on our path, the only path and road to travel, and His word is our lamp and at the end of this path, we will see this light face to face. Can we even imagine what that will be like?

God bless and have a wonderful day.

Thank you for that lovely post , it reminds me again of the ninth plague on the Egyptians , the thick darkness , and how all the Israelites had light in their dwellings .

Hello, I believe the light was first and believe that included the sun.
  • Bud - In Reply - 2 years ago
The earth was first and in darkness verse 2 , then verse 3 God said let there be light .

Most people do not know the earth was in existence before even the stars . Therefore the earth is the centre of creation and not apart of a vast universe if you believe Genesis .

Ps it also proves there are no space aliens, but I find it most likely the anti christ will play on people's ignorance .

Is the devil capable to do that ?

It says he can bring down fire out of the sky , and do all manners of deception, but only the lost fall for it .

It pays to study the bible .

Once you are convinced it's the word of God no one can take that from you . Even seeing space aliens , because they are not real .

Hi Bud Our enemy will do everything in his power to get people not to believe Gods word, he does have the ability to manipulate physical material and matter to trick the unbeliever, he also gets believers to believe things that aren't true scripturally or disbelieve things that are true scripturally. Remember he is the father of lies, that is why our only armour is It Is Written used at the right time in the right context with the correct condition always in love walking by the spirit which is the word. People forget Gods Word is spiritual Knowledge I.E. the knowledge of God or Gods wisdom.

I lived in Roswell NM (capital of little green headed aliens) for 15 years. I had a good telescope too.

Never saw any aliens or space ships!!!! I saw neighbors drive home after the bars closed :/
