What is Gods name? The name he told Moses

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

I guess this is a hot topic for me, because I keep having more to say.... But even after I was saved, I fell into

using "I AM" as a kind of mantra, desperately wanting to know (with my mind) that Jesus was within me.

All I had to do was quietly repeat, "I am....." and meditate. But there is a huge difference between desperately

wanting to know THAT Christ is within us, and desperately wanting to know CHRIST ..... When the Lord Jesus Christ is present, and you look into His face, you feel every sin wiped away, you feel cleansed and completely freed. You are a soul in love..... When you look into face of "I AM" or "God Consciousness," you meet an idea. Sin has not been dealt with. You remain in your sin. You may not know intellectually but you feel it. Someone put it well: your feet remain firmly planted in mid-air.

And the friend I wrote about earlier, who did not like the idea of "blood sacrifice" or that Jesus died for his sins,

he is very much a believer of this "Universal Christ' and this "Light of God" being in all beings..... a very Hindu idea.

To someone who has not met the Lord, not been born again, the idea of God being a "Person" seems very constricting,

very narrow, hence the great appeal of the unsaved flocking to the "Universal Christ.'

I fell "prey" to it..... the computer spell check automatically changed my spelling to "pray" ! I love it :)

there is a wonderful interview of Steven Bacarz (former new age megastar, converted to Christ) being interviewed by Alisa Chambers, on the new age "Universal Christ," a book written by Richard Rohr. I fell pray to the Universal Christ too, just praying, "I AM" believing I Am to be Christ.... ("know ye not, ye are gods?") I AM became a mantra. there was no need of any gospel, no need of any Blood of the Lamb. It is a huge movement in the New Age, Richard Rohrs book has influenced many, many people. It is really Hindu philosophy, meditating on "I AM" to lead you to Unity Consciousness, or God Consciousness. Everybody can say, "I AM" and so everybody has Christ.... When I lived in the Zen Buddhist center in my 20's, we all had a "mantra," a word you say over an over again, later on I tried "I AM" as a mantra. What I got was more stuck in my mind, fallen prey to another delusion. The Lord is a Person. The fallen self cannot keep saying the name of the Lord and become a god, as I found out. Mishael, I wonder if you could make a comment on this Universal Christ movement so prevalent among New Agers.... Did you ever come upon in in evangelizing?

In order to truly see God, you have to stay in NOTHING else but the Bible; the Word of God. Jesus said, I and My Father are One and the same. The Holy Spirit, is the Spirit of Christ.

As one who was delivered from evil I had done; That Person died. I woke up a brand new child of the Living God. The old person passed away. I put my life into Gods hands. I Choose to Follow Jesus and the Bible every day.

"I do this for You. I worship You. I choose You, to be my Father." Acts 19:19. The Holy Spirit undertook my babyhood in Jesus. He has been my only TEACHER. My Comforter. My Beloved.

You cannot STRADDLE THE FENCE, between loving Jesus, and loving the World. To even read books of things that were mentioned in this comment room today; is an ABOMINATION.

I will not read mans writings of satan and his numerous lies, deceptions, false religions, books people wrote in order to enrich their bank accounts. Book of Enoch is NOT in the Bible!

He will steal and pollute your mind, seduce you with lies. Before you know your house will be covered in occult books (which are inhabited by demons)..and the Bible will be covered in Dust.

There is no glory in being an expert on demonology. In cursing innocent children's walk with God; You fall from heaven like Lucifer did. There was no ceremony. Michael the archangel hurled Satan to the earth like a sack of potatoes; and the demons followed in like manner.

Thank you Mishael. God saved me too. Praise God. The false New Age worldview of "God Consciousness" and "Christ Consciousness," the "Cosmic Christ," the I AM, is extremely prevalent in our culture. Oprah Winfrey, Deepok Chopra, Marianne Williamson, you name it, all espouse this philosophy. I was drawn to Zen Buddhism because my "self" was so painful (read: sin) and Buddhism promised "No Self" or enlightenment, or freedom from self, through meditation, mantras, etc. As I said, all I got was more stuck in self, and sin. But I didn't know it as sin then. Hinduism, yoga, the I AM practice (parroting "I AM, knowing I AM as the name of God, over and over, in order to BECOME God) was the next empty effort. Failure upon failure. More stuck than ever. I am grateful for all my false avenues, to win so great a Saviour. This belief in this "New Age Jesus" (false Christ) or "Universal Consciousness as Love" is so prevalent in our society, and it has infiltrated the Church, in many ways. God Bless you Mishael. Hi Lauren On the I Am A lot lot of eastern thought believes that we were born with some type of energy or spirit that all we have to do is energize it and we can be anything we want to be. Its a great line of spiritual deception, total contradiction of the Word of God born dead in trespasses and sin without God and without Hope. There is no way out except Jesus Christ. God Bless

Mishael Tremendous testimony and witness most people play around with this stuff or think there smarter than the enemy he is the GREAT LIAR AND DECEIVER, with Gods Word you are either For or Against there is no SITTING oN THE FENCE. Thank God for your Deliverance. God Bless
