We see in Job the sons of God are angels ( Job 1"6) ( Job 2:1) and ( Job 38:7). There are demons on the earth that I hope you never have to contend with because these are vicious beings. How or why they are here is not in scripture, there are writings outside of the Bible but whether they are true is in question. But what does scripture tell us?
We see in Scripture angels appearing in the form of man, able to eat, drink, and have physical contact with humans. ( Genesis 18:2-8) ( Genesis 32:24-30). We are also told to be careful entertaining strangers because they could be an angel, ( Hebrews 13:2). The angels that left their first estate were treated differently, they were locked in chains of darkness (bottomless pit) until judgment, they are not roaming this earth.
Angels have no need to reproduce in their present estate like humans. If angels by choosing to leave their first estate can procreate, that is what we see in ( Genesis 6:1-4), and is probably the reason those angels were locked up in darkness because they corrupted God's creation of mankind, that God destroyed with the flood.
Angels and demons are roaming the earth. We see in Daniel 10 good angels and bad angels battle each other here on earth, same as we battle these beings, these may be part of the third that will be cast down with Satan. We see they rejoice in heaven when this happens and say woe unto those on earth.
We know by Job Satan has access to heaven because he went with the sons of God when they presented themselves to God, ( Job 1:6-12). Some take Revelation 12 as in the past, but if we look at what is said. Satan is the accuser and accuses us daily. If you read Revelation 12 you will see in vs. 8, Satan has no more place in heaven. In vs. 11 they overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives until death, this is in the future, not the past.
Ronald From what I see in scripture the enemy has a lot of power but he knows when to back down. Example in the Gospel of Luke 4 think about this the devil kingpin himself took Jesus Christ up into a high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. Two things how did he get him there I not going to buy he walked and second one he had to show Jesus Christ a vision. Good name, we have a high priest who knows our infirmities because Jesus was tempted just like we are, but He lived a perfect life. We see in ( Daniel 9:21) the speed angels can travel, from wherever Gabriel was, even if he was in heaven before Daniel had finished his prayer Gabriel showed up. It is like time and space do not have any bounds on them. If he came from heaven, I'm not sure we could even calculate how many miles that would be.
All through the Bible, we see the power angels have and can relay visions like the angel took John many places and showed him visions in Revelation. Angels can operate in our physical realm in a physical body and the invisible realm. I agree with you, our defense is scripture as it is written, and our faith in Jesus. But it is the wolf dressed as a lamb, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ we must test. Two thousand years of teachings and doctrines we have taken as the truth. We were told to test the spirits and to study to shew thyself approved unto God, constant prayer and study, we must have a mindset, if we think we know, we don't.
I hold to some of those views you have, I have never studied intensely in that area, But I have listened to teachings from Chuck Missler on the Book of Jude and Genesis Ch 1:2. that is provocative.
It is amazing, there was 1656 years from Adam to the flood with only 7 chapters of scripture, all that was going on before the flood with the sons of God, giants and even after the flood there were giants. The description of these giants (Nephilim) and (Rephaim or Rephaites), are not just tall people. The name of these people means "terrible ones". How would we take them if they were on earth today? Call the doctor!

After the flood, the evil angels became demon spirits. They drowned in the flood. Apparently, invisible things can get inside of visible things: humans, animals, birds, etc.
I spoke with my son who likes evil movies, spooky movies, Children's minds are different than ours. Empty hard drives, waiting to be filled. As a grandparent it is only possible to explain what evil and good is in the light of Gods word. Even so this child has a free will and therefore could be easily mislead. As the movies ,such is the ability to gain and hold the attention of the child!
I was " frank" with Him. I told Him, Evil is real even the most subliminal ,even so is the good!
That satan wishes to have the soul in fear and subjection. He comes easily, starting out small until the fear is complete! That there is a war. A spiritual war! Getting Him to think in the safe mode, while trusting in God, the creator of Heaven and earth!
This little one is bold, how lovely our God creates for the war that is beyond us? Even as Christ was born out of due time, such are the children , who the evil one tries, even medicating us to prevent the will of God! I'm in the same position as far as age. I think the strongest thing we can do is make the atmosphere of our home DIFFERENT. I do that by planning other activities that DO NOT include television or video games. Plan something. Board games are still fun. He's 8 but we still like the competition of go fishing game. :D Skip Bo, puzzles, horseshoes, Nerf target shooting in the house with big plastic drinking cups (rainy days)
We talk to each other. I never lecture him. I tell him, "hey I'm older and wiser now...ask me ANYTHING." "What do YOU think about how the world is doing these days?" "How would you change it." Stuff like that.
We pray together, "my turn then your turn". Just simple subjects and replies.
I have an Apple TV box and YouTube Premium; plus PUREFLIX (all christian movies). If your grandson leans to violence...YouTube has Christian Movies Too. Search: Revelation Station
The central theme is the Book of Revelation. There is no sex, but plenty of action. There are other movies too: Apostle Paul, Book of John, Genesis, Noah's Ark and lots more.

Kids RETREAT into fantasy games and are cut off from their surroundings, people and what the family is doing. With some skill and your full attention, you can bring them back to the family circle. Don't ignore them or send them to another room.
We only have 18 years to impact this life. God cares very much how we do this. They need to know God hears their every prayer and request. Tell them what "request" is. Christian Programming is less violence, but if we devote our full attention to sharing time together; that is what they REALLY DESIRE. Time and hugs.
Don't lecture. Listening to what THEY COMMENT on to get clues on how to Pray for them. Get in the closet and pray for them; do some Ephesians 6, warfare prayers for all family members. Make life count.

That's are references, but they're kind of obscure. I had wanted to know how Goliath got so big. Was there more like him, or what. I think archaeologists found a large skeleton and tried to say it was Goliath on google, which I believe is a fabrication. I don't believe that stuff. ONLY what the Bible says.
We know we'll be like the angels in heaven. "Neither marry or give in marriage".
God created all the angels, good, evil, Satan. (The Catholic Church names more archangels than the Bible. I think RC are responsible for the heresies out there.)
Everything created by God with lungs is subject to drowning. Except Satan. We see him in the Book of Job. So he was somewhere else during the flood.
I asked the Holy Spirit what happened to the evil angels in the flood? He said they drowned, that's all. There's a small passage where they are railing on Satan for what happened to them. Isaiah I think.
In their current state, they have to possess a human to do their evil deeds. Jesus was seen casting devils and demons out of people. The Bible shows us that. Modern day people "don't believe in that stuff." But they make movies like the Exorcist and flock to see green pea soup. What a world!
Saul is seen consulting with the Witch of Endor. Jezebel is a demon principality whose primary purpose is to destroy men or make them work for her.
Point is, they are out there. Jesus is going to deal with this once and for all TIME. They're all going to HELL; and some to the Lake of Fire. God is going to do a total recreate of Earth, back to its Genesis state , while all the BELIEVERS are in Heaven. All of the evil that Satan has done will be locked up, under God's supervision.
We don't need to investigate evil. Our Focus is to evangelize as Jesus told us, and PRAY: to the Lord of the Harvest of souls. Learn from THE HOLY SPIRIT only. 2 Peter 2:19 (read whole chapter)

I've been helping someone to clear out a house of a disabled parent who died, and it's difficult to see what happens to 70+ years of accumulated belongings. It makes you think about heaven and the sheer joy of being unencumbered.
