  • Marie on 1 John 3
    In verse 8, it states that the devil sinneth from the beginning. So does that mean that God created the devil to Sin? And it also states that the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil, so the key word is "MIGHT", so need clarification on this verse.
  • Using The Authority of Jesus Christ - in Reply on 1 John 3
    Lucifer became Satan after he was evicted from heaven for coveting Gods throne. He had been the covering Cherub; in charge of praise and worship. But then he wanted that praise for himself.

    Isaiah 14

    12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

    13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I WILL ascend into heaven, I WILL exalt my throne above the stars of God: I WILL sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

    14 I WILL ascend above the heights of the clouds; I WILL be like the most High.

    15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

    16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

    17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

    Comment: When we praise God, Satan is at war with us too. The war in Revelation gives us a glimpse of this war. Jesus, the Lamb of God; defeated Satan. Jesus imparted his authority to believers, to enforce Satan's defeat; in our born again state.

    If you don't know of your authority in Christ, you are easily defeated in life. Look upon your very own Armor In Ephesians 6. That is ours! Jesus defeated Satan on the CROSS.

    Jesus took back the authority, on the CROSS, that First Adam turned over to Satan when he ate of the fruit with Eve.

    Jesus taught his Disciples of that authority. He demonstrated it, daily. When Jesus came upon someone possessed with demons: they cried out for mercy, because they have no Authority.

    We can grovel and whine, when harassed by the demonic; or we can fight back In The NAME of Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus said: go ye, feed my sheep, carry my lambs, Heal the sick, raise the dead, proclaim the acceptable year.

    Selah. Are you in, or out?

    Mishael
