  • Prayer to Actually Receive Jesus into your Life on Revelation 6 - 2 years ago
If you truly want all of your questions answered about God, this is step one. Trust. The Holy Spirit is your Teacher, He comforts you, calms you and will guide you each and every day. There are voices that frighten you; and then there is the Holy Spirits presence that will calm you AND cause you to understand what the Bible is saying.

As you grow in Trust, sins that hurt your mind and heart; just confess them. Own your participation and give it all to the Holy Spirit. He will take all that pain and darkness away forever. Even if it's about someone who hurt you deeply. Give those memories to the Person who can wipe it clean. Some memories are harder than others.

Get you a red letter Edition of a King James Bible and begin reading in the New Testament; work your way to the back. Books of Proverbs and Psalms, offer Wisdom and Comfort. You are now, Gods beloved child. You are loved unconditionally. Lean into Him for your strength. All of heaven rejoices in your new beginning. Learn what Jesus is like. Come back here with your questions as you learn. Listen to some Greg Laurie videos on YouTube. He has a kind heart.

Pray this prayer to get started.

Dear God, I believe in you and that your Son, Jesus Christ, is Lord. I believe in His sacrifice for my sins and His resurrection from the dead. I repent and ask forgiveness for my sins and I'm deciding now to follow you. Please, come into my life THROUGH THE GIFT of your Holy Spirit. It is in the Lord Jesus' name that I ask and receive, Amen."

The Bible says doing these things with sincerity means you are a Christian (Christ follower) and will have eternal life in heaven.

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:13

Use caution in trusting your feelings, as feelings change. Stand on God's promises- they never change.
